Larafabianweb.com reported today that Lara's new single "Soleil Soleil", by Nana Mouskouri, is to be released to radio stations tomorrow (3/11). They also claim Lara's album has been moved up to May 25th.

That's very good news, if it's true. I'm hoping so.

Nobody has yet heard it, but larafabianweb.com reports that the song has been sent in mp3 to the different radio stations, and it remains only for them to broadcast or not the title in their playlist... as usual: ( chérie fm, france bleu,mfm...) rtl equally...

...and, after repeated questioning, Nathalie on the Official Site did confirm that the single had been sent to radio stations today. Always on top of things.. David

Hmmm...my verdict is still out on this song....first listen and I feel like I'm in Jamaica lying on a beach somewhere...different for sure.

Thanks David for the link!
Well, no doubt about it...Lara's voice sounds wonderful, but the song leaves me a little blah. I guess there's not much to the lyrics on this song...singing about the sun which is shining brightly here in Canada right now.
Just my 2 cents.

Hmm. I'm not overly impressed.
If this gives us a taste of Lara and her teams attempt for the big times again, they willl fall flat on their faces and Lara may well go seek another career. Hearing this song on the radio wouldn't stop me for one second in my tracks.
The song is well done and has an interesting setting but after that it does not stand out worth much. Mainstream with a slight ripple in the center only. Laras voice is impressing as ever but she should use it on songs better suited to it.
I rate this song as a weak two on a fivegrade scale.
I may well get some flak on this but it's my 2 bits worth.

I agree with Kalel....Lara sounds great but the lyrics are just too repetitive! I dont think she made a good choice for the first single, It should has been a much more stronger song.... As i said...Lara still sounds great in any song she decided to record!

I agree with the rest. In my opinon the song just isn't that good. The arrangements make the most of an otherwise weak song and I don't it's a good choice for the first single. Lara's voice is great as always.

I agree this song may not be the best for a first release and it is repetitive but I like it. It's a feel good song and makes me smile. :-) It's a good summer song. I can picture Lara singing this song swaying with her hands flowing and that big smile. I'm not sure when it was written but here is the literal translation (Altavista) and Nana's 1972 rendition. If it was written in the 60s or early 70s most songs were repetitive - just not this much. LOL When the sky is less gray It will tighten me the arms One day like a friend He will return to us. But I want already To sing for you Oh sun sun sun sun sun sun Oh sun sun sun sun sun sun Come leave the night finally And l' winter s' in will go Come which makes rain A large bonfire It is waited until you Awake Oh sun sun sun sun sun sun Oh sun sun sun sun sun sun Youtube link - Nana Mouskouri 1972 www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-jiOEnW7EI
