Hahaha I asked myself this question too Paula! She's a singer that was part of Star Academy (french AI, X-Factor...)...but...who cares?! Lara is Lara, people! How does she dare to say that she'd have preferred to sing another song?! She just have to be thankful... lol Yesterday I've watched the show! It was...amazing, you were so right! Loved to see her emotion while meeting Nana, or listening to Pierre's voice reading the letter for her... And the tears she shed when she saw the blond girl! So sweet... But I didn't really understand who the girl was...? BTW have you seen this?! www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrsP4dQaPVoThe interviewer tells Céline that a journalist believed she was Lara Fabian. She answers, laughing, "Bad for me". Oh God...I sooo hope she referred to the fact that the journalist didn't recognize her, and NOT to Lara herself. You know how I like Céline, I've seen her twice last summer and all but...

Thanks Paula for the links! I knew the websites, but forgot to go and download...(school is killing me lol) Here's what Laura said: "Hi Lara, I'm very happy to be able to talk to you, and to tell you once more how I admire your career, your lifestyle, your way to interpretate your songs with simplicity and a huge heart. I wish you a lot of happiness and I'm glad to see again the moment when we sang together for the first time, in Rome in Italy, my song "La solitudine". I hope it was just the first of a series of "musical meetings", remember that I follow you forever and since the first time I saw you. Tonight I give you a big applause. Kisses, bye!" And as regards Olivia Ruiz, the journalist of "Ma Santé" tells Lara that she (Olivia) recently told the press that she would have liked better to sing "A la peche aux moules" instead of "Je t'aime". Lara answers: "Oh really? I spend my whole life telling positive things about this girl, I appreciate her coloured universe, full of good things, and then you tell me what she said and my heart breaks again. I can't ever understand the cruelty of people. It hurts me a lot, but I think she's fantastic." Then, the interviewer asks her how her "girly soul" shows itself daily. She answers: "It's shown by the tears that come to my eyes when you tell me that Olivia Ruiz has said very unkind words toward me. At that moment, I should be an adult woman and shouldn't feel the pain. But I know that is the tiny girl that reacts: if it was the woman, she would have replied that she (Olivia) had the right to express her opinions. Olivia's declaration has drowned into acid, it is my prerogative to hurt myself for no reason." Then she goes on to explain that the girl inside her reacts also when someone shows appreciation for her, or when her mother puts her hand on Lara's hair, or her best friend talk to her. What moves her, just like a child, is the relationship, the love between two human beings. Hope it helps, if you need something else, jusk ask!

Paula, if there's a video of "Quelque Chose En Nous De Lara Fabian" (I missed it), I can translate what Laura said Thank you David for updating us! The news of Barbra is simply stunning, can't believe it! Amazing...can't wait to hear! I loved the interviews she gave in last days, she as usual speaks the truth...and she moved me when she was disappointed by Olivia Ruiz, and said that tears came to her eyes...sweet. I've received my copy of TLFM today, I already love it but I will write my review in the next few days. And, forgot to tell you, last week I've bought my tickets for Nice, december 19!!! I'm definitely excited...!!!

Never mind! Mmm we're interested in the same thing...what can we do? Maybe start a thread in which everyone introduces him/herself and speaks a bit about his/her life?

A feel good song with a feel good video. :-) That's exactly what I was thinking! I love it, is peaceful and perfect for the song...I like that she's giving colors to a grey world. In some way is what her music does to us... Great to see Nana in the end...

Hey guys! I was asking myself...are you on fb? If you are, wouldn't it be nice to know each other a little better?
I know there are "bad" people even on the Net and maybe my question could look weird to you...but I'm really only interested in knowing you better even if you're so far away from me. Even here on the forum, although I can't visit everyday!
What about it?

Aaaawww I'm excited!!! She's so busy now, it's like waking up from a long sleep, as she said! And those performances...I really loved them. Looking forward to watch the video of Soleil Soleil!!! There could really be Lou in it in my opinion. Who could represent the sun better for Lara?

The idea of pretending to be homeless is great in my opinion. She had the "courage" to sit in the middle of the street and ask money to the passers-by...and the whole situation is very sad and touching. I believe people are afraid (I must admit I feel this way too, often) of the clochards. Some of them are drunk, some of them scare you with their words... Sure, this is not the case, and they tried to show what women feel in those condition...
As regards the song, acespedesf, for some words it reminds me of "Castles made of sand" by Jimi Hendrix, but I'm not really sure it's the right song... :S
And I'm looking forward for the promo (and tour) to begin! I've found out that a venue is two hours from my hometown, so maybe...
Thanks for the update David!!!

ohh yeah...what exactly does she say in italian? Ohh sorry! I haven't had a lot of free time lately and I hadn't noticed the question!!! Those are the words she says in italian: "Che bello il sole...come passa...dai dai dai...un po' di sole...!" ("How beautiful is the sun...how it passes by...come on come on...a bit of sun...!" yes...I know...sounds better in italian ;D)

Aww I like it!!! As you said, it's a very happy song, without lots of deep meanings and moral aims, it just expresses how the Sun can give us happiness. And it's true! I have to admit she has done a lot of better songs...but it makes me smile, and that's sufficient. And last but not least: she speaks in italiaaaan!!!

"Hello everyone,
I'm sorry to tell you that finally Lara won't be in Sanremo.
See you, Nathalie."
I knew it, I knew it...there was something on my mind that was telling me this wasn't true! I'll be hanging out however this afternoon, but Lara STOP doing that, please.

Little update...(David I'm not stealing your job, you know you'll be always the best ;D) The contest began yesterday night and Marco Masini sang his song: in my opinion it's musically amazing, and he did sing it very well. As regards the lyrics, I still don't think it's Lara style but it convinced the audience and remained in the competition. (3 of the contestants were eliminated) You can listen to it here www.musickaos.com/2009/02/18/marco-masini-litalia-video-testo/ (hope it works, I can't be sure because my pc doesn't let me listen to anything in this period!) If you want me to translate the lyrics, just ask. And for those who have not read on the official forum, Nathalie confirmed Lara will be there on friday. P.S. Thanks a lot Paula!

You're so right Paula...I was just wondering why she should sing a song like that. But I believe Marco chose her for a "voice thing", not because she has something to say about this kind of problem. Anyway, today Lara's name was in another magazine, and they say that the names of the artists who will make a duet with the real contestants were shown in a press conference some days ago. So as usual only the confirmation of her website is missing...and I'm so afraid I'll be disappointed! I'll be around, on friday, I'll try at the hotel where usually the famous people stay and I'll wait near the theater where she will hopefully go for the reharsals...and let's hope everything will be ok! Whatever will happen, I'll keep you up to date

It was me who talked about Sanremo in the other topic David... ;D(never mind, I'm kidding!) I can tell you that if Lara comes, we will have the video for sure because the Festival airs every year...for 57 years The only thing that makes me suspicious is the lyrics of the song. I've read it today, it talks about how Italy is a bad country, with bad moral and social laws, how all is falling down and how we have to do something to make everything better. Isn't it too much to sing for Lara? I mean, too much rebellion for a girl who lives in Belgium? I'll be more, more, more than happy if she comes and do everything I can to meet, or see her ever for a second...it was just a question. However, it seems to be true, Marco's fans confirmed that they knew he would have sung with Lara for a couple of weeks
