I'm not only frustrated at them losing so much when they are supposed to be a Stanley Cup contender this year. But they need a goalie. They are playing Alex Auld almost every game and for the last couple of weeks he has played terrible! Before this season he hardly played with them giving almost all the work to Dan Cloutier till he got injured. Now they are playing Auld way too much. He's letting in soft goals and has only gotten one game off since about the 3rd week of the season. Even vetern goalies don't play that much let alone a goalie that played about 20 games at most in the NHL before this season! It's not only that, but they are playing terrible in front of him. I just don't think it's fair at all to him.

I do not know the situation for Vancouver, but have heard a lot of converstaion about the Penguins. Some of that conversation has been about contract agreements. This is a troubling thing to me about sports. In other words, a player is signed under an agreement. Let's say that the agreement is that if that player is on the ice for a certain number of minutes per season, then he would earn an incentive pay. It is very troubling to me that this would be the case, because that would mean that players are sitting on the bench to keep costs down. A game should be played to win, and players should be utilized in whatever way possible to give the team the best opportunity to win. If money and contracts have anything to do with playing time, the game is more a business than a sport, and a real injustice to all fans involved. I say all of this without any knowledge whatsoever of the Canuck's situation, and only bring it up from a VERY limited understanding of the subject. I may be way, way off here! But I do sympathize with your situation! Hey, it could be that they are not doing so well because I have taken a liking to them out of respect for you! Maybe I am a jinx!
