"If we hope for what we are not likely to possess, we act and think in vain, and make life a greater dream and shadow than it really is." - Joseph Addison (1672-1719)

Last night I watched the Pittsburgh Steelers- Cleveland Browns game on Sunday Night Football on ESPN. I bring this up here because one of the features of the night was that Hines Ward of Pittsburgh broke John Stallworth's team record for most receptions. Throughout the game the announcers spoke very highly of Hines Ward. One of the main themes that they played up about him was that "Nobody said he would ever play in the NFL. Nobody said that he would ever start for a team in this league. Nobody ever said that he would be a Pro-Bowl player." But he became all of those things, and a team record holder for most receptions as well, surpassing a HALL OF FAME receiver in John Stallworth! While nobody else believed in him, Hines Ward did! He believed in who he was, and what he could do! I certainly am inspired by his life. And while I agree with this quote, I do so only to the extent that you are not discounting what you can possess based on what others have determined to be possible for you. Reach for those stars, and bend heaven until they are within your grasp!
