So true. I am very pleased to see that there is widespread support from fans, commentators, former players, and just about everyone else concerning Terrell Owens unbecoming conduct. That kind of stuff is poison to a team. I grew up watching Muhammed Ali, and was a big fan of his. His conceit was much different. Part of it was showmanship and strategy, and part of it was just plain confidence in his abilities. One thing about him, though, that stands apart from all others, is that he could back up his words with action....and do so at a time when heavyweight boxing was loaded with any number of fighters who otherwise could have been champion were he not around. Never before or ever again will there be that much quality contention in the sport, and so Ali will always be truly "The Greatest." All of that said, I am not much of a boxing fan, with all of its corruption from within. Nobody is more qualified to make a quote like this one than Johnny Unitas, perhaps the toughest and greatest quarterback of all time. And he played and led his life with class and style. Great quote, Leona! Thanks for sharing!

That's what really made me love this quote. There is a lot of conceit in professional sports and I find it quite negative. There's nothing wrong with confidence, I think it's something you need because if you aren't going to believe in yourself who is going to believe in you. I've been really disgusted with the Terrell Owens situation, what happened to it being about the team. I agree with what you said about Muhammed Ali and Johnny Unitas.
