Lara announced a new addition to her ‘TV’ life, scheduled for next year. She posted the photo and announcement at

with the caption, “You know my passion for transmission, I will be hosting several personalities for a moment of sharing and development... to be seen from 2025 on @tvareseau @proddeferlantes ...
The Best Is Yet To Come”
Here was TVA’s own announcement (https://www.tvanouvelles.ca/2024/04/08/tva-et-tva-une-nouvelle-emission-sur-mesure-pour-lara-fabian-en-2025):
-----------------------------
TVA and TVA+: a new tailor-made show for Lara Fabian in 2025
Lara Fabian enjoyed being a director at Star Académie and a coach at La Voix so much that she will continue to pay it forward in a new documentary series which will be presented next year on TVA and on TVA+.
The Belgian-Quebec singer-songwriter will be at the helm of an event tailor-made for her, in which she will welcome five professional artists, inviting them to perfect themselves alongside her in her splendid villa in Sicily, in Italy.
Productions Déferlantes, which produces the show in collaboration with Quebecor Content, stressed Monday that the title of the show has not yet been determined, nor the broadcast date. However, we know that six episodes have been ordered.
It will be, we promise, an “incredible human adventure” presented in an enchanting setting, which cannot harm the emancipation of the guests’ talent and the sharing of confidences.
There will be moments around the piano and at the table, or even in “sometimes destabilizing” workshops.
Lara Fabian was not available for an interview, TVA said.
“Lara Fabian has the immense generosity of welcoming them into her home, where she will pass on the tools she has preciously acquired throughout her breathtaking career to five personalities already known and appreciated by the public. The series will go further than voice lessons; it will also be a journey for all the senses,” explained TVA Group’s Senior Director of Channels and Programming, Nathalie Fabien.
The 54-year-old artist, who is coming to Quebec in June as part of her Je t'aime tour, was truly touching at Star Académie, where she accompanied emerging talents with kindness and sensitivity during seasons 6 ( 2021) and 7 (2022).
Currently in Europe for performances on her world tour, the winner of several Félix awards, a Victoire de la musique in France and two World Music Awards was also a coach during seasons 6 (2018) and 7 (2019) of La Voix. She also officiated in the French versions of the two television formats, Star Académie and La Voix .
“It is an immense pleasure for Déferlantes to reconnect with Lara in an original format tailor-made for her. Even if there are very good things happening for Lara at the moment in Europe, it's great to see that she always makes time to do projects with us in Quebec,” said the vice-president of content and strategy of Productions Déferlantes, Jean-Philippe Dion.

Jena-Philippe Dion posted a picture of a slightly different TVA announcement on his FB site (there’s much overlap) – thanks to the Lara Fabian The Netherlands FB site for the picture:

Lara Fabian returns to TVA with a new project tailor-made for the star
TVA is delighted to announce that internationally-renowned singer-songwriter Lara Fabian is returning to the airwaves with a brand-new show designed especially for her. For as long as the artist has dreamed of opening her own school, TVA is the place to do it. The star will welcome five artistic personalities to Italy, where they will get to know each other through song. This documentary series of ten 60-minute episodes is an original concept by Productions Deferlantes and is produced by Produtions Deferlantes, in collaboration with Quebecor Contenu. It is scheduled to air on TVA in 2025.
TVA audiences have already witnessed Lara Fabian's exceptional teaching skills on La Voix and Star Academie. The internationally-renowned artist will now offer professional artists the chance to perfect their skills in her company. This new event is an incredible human adventure, and will be filmed at the star's villa in Sicily, Italy. Whether it's playing the piano, enjoying a memorable meal, or taking part in one of the most unsettling workshops, this new show also promises a moment of escape through the region's breathtaking landscapes.
“In 2005, TVA and TVA+ viewers will have privileged access to her home universe, where she will pass on the tools she has acquired over the course of her amazing career to five personalities who are already well known and appreciated by the public. The series will go beyond voice lessons; it will also be a journey for all the senses," emphasizes Nathalie Fabien, Senior Director, Channels and Programming, TVA Group.
"Quebecor Contenu is delighted to team up with Productions Deferlantes, who have mastered the art of transcending the screen to bring out the full human side of the relationships between the people featured in its productions. Lara Fabian has a gift for conveying her passion for music, so this series has all the ingredients for great television moments that are both human and visually stunning," explains Kathleen Vachon, Director, Variety, Entertainment and Large Formats, Quebecor Contenu.
"It's a great pleasure for Deferlantes to reconnect with Lara in an original format tailor-made for her. Even if there are some great things happening for Lara right now in Europe, it's great to see that she still has time to do projects with us in Quebec," says Jean-Phillippe Dion, vice-president content and strategy, Productions Deferlantes.
--------------------------------------
And then Jean-Philippe Dion followed this up on his FB page, saying,
“Oh how I can't wait for this project to start…here we are!
A new project created by the fabulous Lara Fabian team with the great and unique Productions Déferlantes!
Lara will host, in her villa in Italy, five artistic personalities who will get to know themselves through singing. This six-episode, 60-minute documentary series will air in winter 2025 at TVA.”
And Productions Déferlantes offered their own announcement on FB:
“NEW PRODUCTION with Lara Fabian
In 2025 at TVA
Really happy to announce today a new original concept of Déferlantes, shot in Italy with Lara Fabian.
Seen at Star Academy, Lara is an excellent teacher who loves the idea of relaying. She will host 5 artistic personalities who will get to know themselves through singing while improving themselves in her company.
In the heart of the beautiful landscapes of the Mediterranean, around the piano or a good meal, all these artists will feed on the talent, personality, experience and creativity of everyone.
An incredible human and musical adventure in 6 episodes, to see in 2025 at TVA!”
Lara has been on shows like this herself, with noted personalities in an informal setting getting to know one another, although this seems to be more focused on teaching. [However…given that meals are to be served, it’s not impossible for Lara to do some cooking on the show! ]. As noted on the picture Lara released, the idea was Lara’s and as a Canadian production it suggests that for all Lara’s recent success in France, she is not letting go of her Quebec ‘home’, whatever that ends up meaning in practical terms. (See also the last paragraph of the article below). Also it would seem TVA doesn’t want to lose her contributions, agreeing to a show (as they say) “tailor-made for her”. In addition to it being part of the “transmission” to which she says she will devote this last part of her career, it reinforces her continued development as a TV personality, and that seems to be taking on a life of its own.
Otherwise, Lara has continued to display the poster for her upcoming “Je t’aime 2024” concert schedule in (primarily) Eastern Europe (e.g.
There was an article in Journal des Femmes about the intersection of Lara’s personal and professional life (https://www.journaldesfemmes.fr/people/actus/3171168-lara-fabian-vie-privee-compagnons-ruptures/):
-----------------------------
Lara Fabian and her private life: "I'm used to getting dumped and..."
Lara Fabian was able to draw strength from her failures in love. Better yet: her breakups are the source of several of her hits. She’s the one who says it!
Recently guest on the show Quelle époque! on France 2, Lara Fabian spoke candidly about her private life. The singer, who released a new single entitled Tu peine, did not fail to prove that she has a lot of humor and perspective on herself; It would also be time for Yann Barthès to hand her a microphone in Quotidien after years of making her his favorite Truc face...
For whom did Lara Fabian write her hit Je t'aime ?
Her flagship title Je t’aime has a very personal symbolism. The singer wrote it for her former partner, songwriter Rick Allison. “It’s a song of breakup and at the same time of liberation where we admit to being very poorly equipped to love well,” she confided to Léa Salamé .
Lara Fabian wanted to explain the genesis of this song: "I wrote it with the person with whom I was going through a separation at that time (Rick Allison, editor's note). It's a way of saying goodbye which will mark the beginning of something that still precedes me today. This song is bigger than me! It has covered both French and international mileage. I couldn't imagine that a song that speaks of such a break becomes the cornerstone of such a path,” she revealed. We then discover that Je t’aime, before being a declaration of love, is a song to evoke the singer's breakup.
Are any other songs inspired by Lara Fabian's romantic relationships?
The answer is yes. Her love stories are her main inspirations, especially when she gets dumped: "I'm used to this. I'm used to getting dumped and writing a beautiful song behind it! It's not to be wished for, but It's crazy how in what hurts, we find the quintessence of what makes us all vibrate. That's why it speaks so much, because we all know that."
For example, the title Broken Vow was composed following yet another romantic disappointment. “It talks about a broken promise. Again, it was written following a breakup,” she explained [NB: with Walter Afanasieff]. As a reminder, Lara Fabian shared her life with Patrick Fiori from 1998 to 2000. She then shared her life with the songwriter Jean-Félix Lalanne, then the director Gérard Pullicino with whom she had a daughter, Lou, now aged 16.
In 2013, Lara Fabian married the Sicilian magician younger than her, Gabriel Di Giorgio. The couple lives in Quebec but Lara Fabian spends a lot of time in France for her career.
-------------------------------
But does the couple really live in Quebec (not that it really matters)…note that the new TVA show will have Lara inviting guests to her “splendid villa in Sicily”, and despite their big announcement, Lara was not available for an interview concerning it.

Though I don’t see that they say it explicitly, it is at least possible that it was in honor of the solar eclipse seen across portions of North America yesterday.
The Lara Fabian The Netherlands posted a link and some discussion of Lara singing “Laisse moi rever”, at
www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=967648828701841&set=pcb.967648992035158
The song itself is available at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TgUs6vYbMg
They quote Victor Gorys writing that “Laisse-moi Rever (Let Me Dream) is from the 1991 French World War Two romance film, “La Neige Et Le Feu” (Snow and Fire). The film was commercially unsuccessful which is why you are probably unfamiliar with the song. The song was composed by Vladimir Cosma and the lyrics are from Vline Buggy.”
Reaction videos to Lara’s singing (as well as videos of others singing her songs) continue on youtube unabated. ‘The Somatic Singer’ is a big fan of Lara’s and has now posted 5 such videos the latest being the Yentl Medley Lara sang at the Molson Center in Montreal, from 1997, which can be found at:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJLJGtRsPUg;
The original video is at www.youtube.com/watch?v=zW8lalHMwxk. It is somewhat amazing that this performance from a televised concert in Montreal 27 years ago has had such staying power, but it certainly deserves it! One of her best performances ever (IMHO); and the ‘Somatic Singer’(Nicholas Andrew) says it is his all time favorite of hers. He emphasizes how Lara uses her body, in addition to her voice, saying “It’s all one thing”. He calls Lara “a ‘body-focused’ singer, whether she realizes it or not – and I’m sure she does”. [From his ‘name’ you can see that he values that].

If one ever finds one’s enthusiasm for Lara flagging, just watch these videos and it will be instantly renewed!
Notice that the first four of Lara’s videos he reviewed were all from the PBS TV concert “From Lara with Love”; thus all five of these are from TV concerts, none from any of Lara’s DVDs. This is the perfect technological age for her, with the advent of the Internet and social media – otherwise those shows could easily have gotten lost. The next ones he will do are “Calling You” and “Llora” (so DVDs may be involved with those).
Next week will feature the beginning of Lara’s nine concert swing through Eastern Europe, so this week may well be taken up with preparations for that. It will be interesting to see how well advertised and attended these concerts are. Lara’s has done a little promotional work for them available on the web, and perhaps more in local markets. She will be singing songs quite familiar to her; first she said she wanted to focus them about “Je t’aime” in its broadest meaning but more recently, she indicated that the sentiments found in ‘Ta peine’ would be central. We’ll see how much it differs from her standard ‘Greatest Hits’ tours.
