After the publicity blitz of the last two months, Lara’s public offerings and involvement slowed noticeably this past week. However, she did not want her audience to stop paying attention, so she posted the following picture on her social media sites,
www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=981825923301701
and
with the caption, “I still have so much to share with you 🖤...the best is still to come ...”
If so, this was not the week when it would be in evidence. Her only other public foray came in response to International Women’s Day (March 8) when she posted this picture,
www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=982734213210872
and
with the caption, “Today and every day, we are sisters, friends, mothers, daughters ... united and determined. Together, we are free to realize our dreams...🤍”
On the UN website (https://www.unwomen.org/en/get-involved/international-womens-day?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw17qvBhBrEiwA1rU9w3DmXedKWrl8XyLfVUQA1uTY-4IL_aRKEwxrcalFQbT4k0q6Rh5DHxoCUvYQAvD_BwE) there is this statement:
----------------------------------------------
This International Women’s Day, 8 March 2024, join the United Nations in celebrating under the theme Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.
The world is facing many crises, ranging from geopolitical conflicts to soaring poverty levels and the escalating impacts of climate change. These challenges can only be addressed by solutions that empower women. By investing in women, we can spark change and speed the transition towards a healthier, safer, and more equal world for all.
If current trends continue, more than 342 million women and girls could be living in extreme poverty by 2030. To ensure women’s needs and priorities are considered, governments must prioritize gender-responsive financing and increase public spending on essential services and social protection.
Policymakers must also value, recognize, and account for the vital contribution women make to economies worldwide through paid and unpaid care work. Women spend around three times more time on unpaid care work than men and if these activities were assigned a monetary value they would account for more than 40 per cent of GDP.
Investing in women and championing gender equality turbocharges a future where everyone in society can thrive, creating a world of boundless opportunity and empowerment for all.

A statement which Lara can heartily support; as we know she’s continually involving herself in charities and organizations that support women and children, and more generally the under-served in society. One of her most endearing aspects.
As one may have noticed, Lara looked especially beautiful in her two social media photos above. That was also noticed by the Women’s Journal (https://www.journaldesfemmes.fr/beaute/magazine/3166744-lara-fabian-mise-en-beaute-solaire/):

At 54, Lara Fabian is sublime with her solar beauty that brightens up our rainy days
Beauty wise, Lara Fabian is always good since she appears with impeccable looks. Dark blonde coloring, layered cut and bronzed makeup: the singer is perfect
Lara Fabian posted a photo on Instagram which has seduced her fans who have been loyal to the singer since her debut. What are the secrets to her fresh and rejuvenating beauty look?
Lara Fabian's bronzed makeup
At the age of 54, Lara Fabian shines with her sunny beauty which she knows how to highlight thanks to effective tips that suit her body shape. The one who is working on an album in collaboration with Slimane has once again demonstrated this with the photo that she published on March 6 on her Instagram account. Smiling, the singer displays superb makeup, with tanned accents, which has become her signature makeup. To show off that ideal healthy glow to counter the winter gloom, Lara Fabian combined warm shades of brown with matching eye shadow, bronzer and lipstick. We also note her flawless complexion, without imperfections, which rejuvenates her facial features.
Lara Fabian tries dark blonde
Another undeniable seductive asset of Lara Fabian: her dream hair marked by straight hair and a slightly layered cut. While she is used to wearing a light blonde, enhanced by a discreet balayage, the one who was born in Belgium displays a darker color here, giving a sunburst to her mane. Real name Lara Sophie Katy Crokaert, the star also made the right choice by keeping dark roots, in order to create a natural hair color. With this perfect beauty look, Lara Fabian marks her status as a seasoned beautysta!

Reflecting back on Lara’s latest venture, as expected Les Enfoires topped the charts in France, as discussed at (https://www.chartsinfrance.net/actualite/news-128049.html):

Top Albums: what score for Les Enfoirés, best start of the year?
As usual, Les Enfoirés enter the Top Albums with the highest score of the year. The troupe thus beats the rapper Luther, Olivia Ruiz or Liam Gallagher. What score are they making with the 2024 show “On a 35 ans”? All sales figures on Purecharts!
It was to be expected. As always, Les Enfoirés are number one in the Top Albums with the key, the best start of the year. This is still the case for the 2024 show “On a 35 ans”, which has sold 85,600 copies. A score down very slightly compared to the 2023 concert “"Enfoirés un jour, toujours", sold 86,900 copies in one week. Regardless, the troupe of artists for the benefit of Restos du Coeur largely dominates the competition. Starting with the rapper Werenoi, who is down one rank: “Pyramide” is second in the ranking this week with 10,700 units (-20%) which he adds to his counter. The podium is completed by another rap game phenomenon: Luther. His new album "Exit" comes in third with 9,700 sales, while his previous opus "Garçon" goes back to fifth thanks to 6,100 curious people. Between the two, PLK is putting up resistance with its mixtape “Chambre 140”, currently the best seller of the year, with 7,300 new copies (-12%)…

The uniqueness of Les Enfoires in the current market is highlighted by that review of what the next best selling albums are…
As to how the TV show did, there’s this (https://pachronicle.com/8-5-million-viewers-tuned-in-to-watch-les-enfoires/):
-------------------------------
8.5 Million Viewers Tuned in to Watch Les Enfoirés
The recent concert “Enfoirés 2024, we are 35 years old!” organized by Les Restos du Coeur was a massive hit, drawing in 8.5 million viewers on TF1, marking the best audience in three years, as per Médiamétrie data. This special anniversary edition reached a peak of 9.1 million viewers, with an overall audience share of 46%, a record for eight years, according to TF1.
The musical extravaganza, filmed in Bordeaux, not only brought together long-time supporters who have answered Coluche’s call since 1985 but also featured new faces like Santa, Claudia Tagbo, Gaëtan Roussel, and Ycare. The funds raised from this event will go towards providing meals to those in need through Restos du Coeur. Purchasing a CD or DVD of the concert equates to providing 17 meals to the organization, which is currently conducting its 39th major national collection aimed at receiving 9,000 tonnes of donations.
Despite the success of the event, the challenges faced by Restos du Coeur remain significant. Last year, the organization supported 1.3 million individuals, accounting for 35% of food aid in France. The increasing demand for assistance has strained the association both operationally and financially, leading to a reduction in the number of beneficiaries this winter. President Patrice Douret anticipates distributing between 165 and 168 million meals this year, a slight decrease from previous years.
As Restos du Coeur continues its crucial work, the support and generosity of the public remain essential in combating food insecurity and providing assistance to those in need.

Concerning Lara’s own release, the video of ‘Ta peine’ has garnered 913K views in the 13 days since its release (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFYwtIL95wk). Her live performance at the Star Academy has 48K views (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6r1OefE8ZEE), and 52K views with French and English subtitles (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HCFrCMjWHA), while the live version on RFM has 50K views (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IssDFFl87OM). As for the song itself, there have been 133K views for a version with French subtitles (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdqwB00Obpw), and an additional 121K views on a version with French and English subtitles (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3vU9JPftUY). Its current status on world charts is #72 on YouTube in Belgium, #82 on Shazam in Belgium, and #129 on iTunes in France.

The Lara Fabian The Netherlands FB site posted a link to ‘Lara The Ring’ Fabian’s youtube video of Lara singing ‘Broken Vow’ in Montreal, June 15, 2022, which carried the comment, “Her Best Version in 20 years”, at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8RCOhh2Fdw
That brought to mind other notable versions, most popularly the one in ‘From Lara with Love’, the PBS show at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNVR0yK8Ec8
which has 1.4 million views.
My own personal favorite is her version from Tout Lara Fabian, at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjGUMQJpbRk
(with 469K views). Given Lara’s current project with Slimane, it looks like there will not be an album of Lara’s with full orchestral accompaniment, as in the above video. She speculated about it at one point, when she enjoyed that backing on a TV show in Quebec, but it seems like it will remain a dream; only such accompaniment can really do justice to Lara’s magnificent voice and the style of her songs.
Since Lara indicated there was no shortage of material she wanted to share with her audience, we’ll see if any more of it surfaces in the coming week(s).
