Another full week for Lara, with both current and future events being featured. Perhaps the most interesting was that there will be a video clip for the new song “Ta peine”. Lara posted a ‘making of’ at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKEgcFaQtWU
A beach scene, which, at the moment, didn’t seem to include any other people. The accompanying caption read “Here I reveal some images from the clip for Ta Peine released on February 26”.
She also posted some, in effect, ‘story boards’ for the clip (which were taken live and converted to black and white), and these are available at
www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=971626447654982&set=pcb.971628740988086
They are so artistic it makes one wonder whether the clip will be done in this ‘cartoon-like’ fashion (except the caption for the ‘making of’ might seem to contradict that). So this will be available next Monday.
Shortly thereafter (March 1) will be the telecast of the ‘Les enfoires’ 35th anniversary show
Lara put the link for the promo on her FB site, and it is
www.facebook.com/TF1/videos/773579304134709
One can see her saying it is ‘a great joy’.
Speaking of which, the Lara Fabian est ton autre FB site noted that Les Enfoirés official clip - Jusqu'au dernier (Clip officiel) is now available, at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HhbxSL3Swc
A real crowd pleaser, with fantastic cutting/editing! Lara makes several appearances on it.
Looking further downstream, on May 9th Lara will be one of cellist Stjepan Hauser’s special guests at the Royal Albert Hall, London with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. She put the promo for it on her FB site at
www.facebook.com/reel/3533378416885666
This was perhaps initiated when Lara saw him in Saudi Arabia for their show over New Year’s…remember the photo at (https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=901209792012412&set=a.897255935741131).
And finally, even further away, Lara announced she will be performing, as part of a tour, at the Accor Arena, December 7, 2025. The poster for it is at
www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=970548484429445&set=a.259330805551220
and Lara announced ticket sales will begin this coming Friday, in the reel at
www.facebook.com/reel/382994184482218
where she says, “I’m happy to see you again, so how can I tell you how happy I am to see you in 2025, and what’s more, the Arena is great for the first time!” .

“It’s the first time”: “moved”, Lara Fabian announces a concert at the Accor Arena in Paris
By Yohann RUELLE | Journalist
Lara Fabian is in the midst of preparing her new album, announced through the single “Ta Pain”. Fans will be delighted to learn that this musical era will also come to life on stage: the singer announces a tour and a major concert at the Accor Arena in Paris. All the info!
Lara Fabian is certain: “2024 is going to be a very good year”. And for good reason, before her arrival in “The Voice Kids” on TF1 at the start of the next school year, the singer with the golden voice will have made her big comeback in the stores. Five years after "Papillon", the Belgian-Canadian artist is currently drawing the outlines of her next album, the 15th of her career. “We’re on it, it’s in progress. I already have other songs of course, we've written other things, but if you want to say things that make sense, it takes time. I still have a lot to say about transmission, about what we can become, about this light that we can choose to contact rather than the shadow. Humans, we are all hypersensitive, we all have somewhat bumpy paths. All! Sometimes we can open the door to something very dark. What else is possible? That’s what I always tell myself,” confides Lara Fabian in an interview with Purecharts for the release of her new single “Ta Pain”, the result of her meeting with Slimane.
“I’m going to Bercy for the first time”
Working with the future representative of France at Eurovision, as well as his sidekicks Yaacov and Meir Salah, sounded like an obvious choice for Lara Fabian. “I had looked at him for a long time with great love and admiration. I knew that we had something in common, common passages in our lives and that we would have a lot to say if we mixed. I don't know why... Sometimes you can't explain it. It's like when you meet someone and you feel like you know them. I felt it long before speaking to him, and it was right,” attests the one who refused the position of director of the “Star Academy” .
And she promises, other songs with Slimane will be on the album! “The idea is to tell a story together,” the singer tells our microphone, who would also like to record a duet with Vitaa, an “extraordinary” woman: “I love her heart”. While waiting for further information on this obviously highly anticipated record, Lara Fabian is already meeting her fans on stage...
On her Instagram account followed by 670,000 subscribers, the interpreter of “Tu es mon autre” announces a major concert at the Accor Arena in Paris. And it will be a first for the artist at Bercy! This Parisian stopover is scheduled for December 7, 2025. “Other dates to come soon” promises the artist. “There will be a tour. I have the happiness, the luck and the gratitude to tell myself that I am going to Bercy for the first time. The first time! I am very moved at the idea of setting foot on these boards,” she assures on the airwaves of Europe 1. To obtain tickets, fans will be able to participate in a pre-sale organized this Thursday, February 15 by the Accor Arena, while the general on-sale will take place Friday morning at 10 a.m. We are now waiting for more information on the next concerts that are being prepared!
------------------------------------
As indicated above, Lara also had various appearances on TV shows. She was a Valentine’s Day guest on Europe 1 (and who could be more appropriate)? It can be seen at:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kq-N5IDIVcg
In the discussion, reviewing what is (somewhat) new:
**Ironically, Lara’s decision to work with Slimane came before they were chosen to be competing coaches on The Voice Kids.
**They will sing a duet on the album; if they themselves don’t complete the album, some additional voices may participate in it.
**They do hope for a tour in 2025. In fact, as Lara noted on her FB site, she will be at Accor arena on 12/7/2025 – and as she further noted it will be her first time ever singing there.
**The subject of Tout was raised (much to Lara’s laughing discomfort). The hosts commented that it was a karaoke favorite. When asked why she didn’t sing it anymore, she said people focus on the vocal prowess, but really it’s a cry, a cry of anger, and she no longer feels angry. But, she said, because they asked, she would sing it for them [not on this show, obviously].
**Lara sang a few bars of ‘Je t’aime’, and the host noted that he only listened to her live performances of it, for they had so much emotion. [Lara included her a capella version on her Instagram site, at
http://instagram.com/p/C3Vj-YhtHOz].
**The host also brought up the time that the audience sang it to Lara, and she was in tears – the host indicating that Lara is lucky as an artist to have such an anthem. [The Lara Fabian America FB site provided a link to Lara’s discussion of that event, at www.youtube.com/watch?feature=shared&fbclid=IwAR2vuIs67zfzgcAxe6o8fgjGuGF9NAHPRfrJJenDs48YmptI8JGQZ3gHNDU&v=vEUtHk1w_Fg].
**Lara sang ‘Ta peine’ (at 14 minutes in). Very well done!
**She noted that it is not an easy song to sing, that she’s singing it from a different space (than Je t’aime, for example).
An article associated with this interview can be found at (https://www.programme-tv.net/news/tv/346953-les-tabourets-volaient-lara-fabian-devoile-pour-quelle-raison-on-lui-a-propose-de-participer-a-leurovision-en-1988/):

“The stools were flying”: Lara Fabian reveals why she was asked to participate in Eurovision in 1988
This Wednesday, February 14, Lara Fabian was the guest of Thomas Isle in Culture Médias to talk about her latest single Ta Pain . The singer took a big leap down memory lane during this interview and revealed why she was approached to represent Luxembourg at Eurovision in 1988.
A meeting that turned her life upside down! Lara Fabian is back on the music scene with the release of her new single titled Ta Peine, co-written and co-composed with Slimane. “I wanted to work with him, I called him and we went to dinner. Above all, we understood and recognized each other,” she told us about this collaboration. The two artists also intend to continue working closely together over the coming months to offer an album written entirely by four hands, and perhaps a duet as hoped by the singer who is offering a date for the first time in her career. at the Accor Arena in Paris.
Lara Fabian looks back on an evening in the late 1980s that completely changed her life
This Wednesday, February 14, Lara Fabian was the guest of Thomas Isle on Culture Médias on Europe 1 to talk about her latest track and perform it live for the greatest pleasure of listeners. During this interview, the presenter suggested that she take a trip down memory lane by recalling the start of her career when she performed in piano bars and was spotted in Brussels by the producer Hubert Terheggen who then made her a great proposition. “He came to see you sing at the Black Bottom and exactly that evening, a general fight broke out and you continued to sing as if nothing had happened… And he liked that,” recontextualized Thomas Isle.
“He hired me” , Lara Fabian reveals why she was asked to represent Luxembourg at Eurovision
“While the stools were going, I was singing Somewhere over the rainbow,” she sang, laughing, and continued: “It was quite crazy actually and that’s why he hired me. He told me: 'You have nerves of steel, we can count on you in front of 700 million viewers, you won't lose the card'. ” And it was during this evening that the producer asked her to represent Luxembourg at Eurovision in 1988, a television performance which changed her life thanks to the title Croire which took her to fourth place. place. However, that year, it was Céline Dion who won the competition under the colors of Switzerland.
--------------------------------
Lara was also on the program “C’est a vous”, in a program entitled “The Great Return of Lara Fabian”.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrjWk1FU9ts
where she also sang ‘Ta peine’ live (20 seconds in).
Lara also included it on her Instagram site, at [
http://instagram.com/p/C3aHY-hteZa], and it can also be seen at www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALJt_gH_DMQ and www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MG3oCR5ExY.
Again with respect to the ‘newer’ items:
**The host pointed out there are references to both Tout and Je t’aime in ‘Ta peine’.
In Ta peine there are these lyrics:
tu peux poser ta main sur mien
on ira danser la valse des peines
rien n’est fini entre nous
J'ai la force d'un fou
While in Tout there is:
Tout, tout, tout est fini entre nous
Tout, j'ai plus la force du tout
----------------------------------
The other side of the coin…
Again with respect to Je t’aime:,
in Ta peine there is:
J'ai la force d'un fou
Et que crève ce diable que tu aimes
While in Je t’aime:
Je t'aime, je t'aime
Comme un fou, comme un soldat
…
Dans cette maison de pierre
Satan nous regardait danser
---------------------------------------
**Lara repeated that when she sang the duet on ‘La boite a secrets’ with Vitaa, she knew that Vitaa most likely knew the soprano part, so she would have to sing the alto part, which is not in her ‘neural nature’, so she practiced it for a few days beforehand.
**They reviewed Lara’s Masterclass for the Star Academie, and how Lara had Pierre lay down to sing. They played a clip of Pierre talking about how Lara released something in him, [a clip that Lara put on her Instagram site, at (
http://instagram.com/p/C3abDr4NRv8) that allowed him to go on and win the Star Academie. They noted that Lara’s Masterclass had 6 million streams on all the important platforms – and that ‘transmission’ was then Lara’s second career.
-----------------
And Lara was the subject on LCL, in a program called ‘The Return of the Diva”, at
www.facebook.com/larafabiantonautre/videos/895886912328279
(thanks to the Lara Fabian est ton autre FB site for the link). She discussed her meeting with Slimane, and her concert towards the end of next year in Bercy. It was noted that Ta peine has received more than 300 thousand views on youtube in a short time in France, Belgium and Canada. [It's now over 800,000, www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXlvAACOaX0].
Lara included two promos for her interview last Saturday on the show 12/45 on M6 on her FB and Instagram sites, at

And, as noted last week, this past Friday Lara was on Le Croissant Show on Sud Radio, Belgium (suradio.net).
It’s clear that Lara is truly a unique guest – she is a ‘time capsule’, having sung with many of the great singers of the past 30 years, and having produced songs that many of the hosts grew up listening to. But she is also quite current – still beautiful, still with a great voice, still putting out music that appeals (especially her latest). In addition, her transmission capabilities, combined with her obvious inherent empathy, and the conversational prowess, allow the discussion to move into more expansive areas.
Interesting photo(s)/video(s) of the week:

She also reacted enthusiastically to the passage of ‘marriage for all in Greece’, at

with the caption, “Back home, thanks for your shares, your presence, your love…the best is yet to come.” [If I remember the associated ‘story’ correctly, it appeared as if ‘back home’ represented Sicily...].
The Lara Fabian America FB site posted a picture of Lara with Pablo from Le Croissant Show on Sud Radio Belgium

The “C’est a vous” program was entitled “The Great Return of Lara Fabian” – and LCL called it ‘The Return of the Diva’. And that it is. Lara is everywhere (her media ‘blitz”) and there are so many different elements to it that it feeds off itself. She is singing ‘Ta peine’ on various shows – always perfectly done, and there are many youtube videos of these performances. She benefits from her association with Slimane on the song, and also from her coaching of Pierre, who went on to win the Star Academie. [Actually, in these News Updates, one has to be circumspect as to how much information to provide without overwhelming the audience – quite a difference from last year at this time]. Over the next 10 days, the clip for ‘Ta peine’ will be released, and we will see Les Enfoires 35th anniversary program. It’s possible things will quiet down after that, but assuming Lara stays in Europe, that’s far from guaranteed. The way things are going, her concerts in April in eastern Europe will serve as a rest period for her ; it will be interesting to see if she adds “Ta peine” to the setlist.
