Numerous news items vied for top spot this week, with Lara being featured before the French public and her fans. Probably of most interest to Lara’s fans was her post of an alluring photo of herself, at
www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=956106699206957&set=a.259330805551220
and
with the comment, “The best is yet to come... as of TOMORROW I have an announcement to make.”
And on the appointed day (Monday) she posted the following:
I waited so long to offer you the best... my new single🤍TA PEINE will be available this Friday, pre-order it today.
bfan.link/ta-peine?fbclid=IwAR1EWEc8T9XE_bWR5_d0HybLctSpL0H1NL2Ie8VLSF5yyoujJW5iuX5fC_Q
It will be interesting to see what ‘mode’ this song is in, given how experimental the ‘Lockdown Sessions album’ was, since Lara did say that it was pointing the way toward her future work.
It partly answers the question of when Lara would have time to work on a new album (assuming there is one)...she's been doing it already. It does bring up the other timing issue: Normally the first single predates the upcoming album by several weeks to a few months, so one would feel safe to say that an album release would be expected in the spring. As noted before, this would mean that her ‘Je T’aime Tour’, which presumably will not include (or at least focus on) the new album, will be taking place just when the promotion for the new album tour would normally occur. She could release it after the European/Asian concerts, say in May – but then she’d be giving the Canadian Je T’aime concerts in June while ignoring the new album. She could wait until after those concerts – but then she’d be releasing the album in the summer, which nobody wants to do. Alternatively, she could wait until the fall, but it would seem foolish to release a single, meant to rev up interest, 7 months ahead of an album release. Yet it would seem this is the most likely scenario. Yet, finally, the Je T’aime concerts in France and Belgium, rumored to take place in 2025 would again be ignoring the new album. Something doesn’t add up…
In another highlight of this past week, one with a widespread dissemination of Lara’s work, Lara and her ‘Dream Team’ of girls were on display in the Dream Team program on TF1, performing ‘Je t’aime’. Lara provided a preliminary ‘reel’ of their activity on her social media sites at
www.facebook.com/reel/1097005881727570
and
and then a studio photo of the team, on the night of the show:
www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=954992252651735&set=a.259330805551220
and
All of this was possible ahead of time, of course, since the program was recorded last June, over the course of two days.
Then it was on to the competition…with her team against that of Matt Pokora, his team can be seen at

TF1 posted an initial portion of Lara’s team’s performance,
and then the full performance became available at

TF1’s own comment was “Lara Fabian's dream team will blow your mind this evening”, and they couldn’t be more accurate. Truly sensational, every one of the team members! It was like a group of small professionals . Of course, it didn’t hurt that Lara was front and center, with her great voice and charisma. The idea that all the members of the team were fans of Lara, and shared the same musical universe, proved quite true. The response from the panel, the audience, the other teams was ‘off the charts’.

A story about their competition can be found at (https://iletaitunepub.fr/2024/01/20/307349/news/television/dreamteam-lequipe-de-lara-fabian-remporte-le-duel-face-au-groupe-de-matt-pokora/):

Dreamteam: Lara Fabian’s team wins the duel against Matt Pokora’s group
TF1 launched Dreamteam this Friday, January 19, 2024, for music fans. And Lara Fabian coached her candidates very well.
These days, there is no shortage of reality TV shows. Those who like wild choreography can follow Dancing with the Stars. And the public can also discover the stars of tomorrow in The Voice or in the Star Academy. Soon, viewers will be able to find The Voice Kids. With, in the red armchairs, Claudio Capéo , Patrick Fiori, Slimane and Lara Fabian. However, the latter is already on the air in a new show: Dreamteam. Indeed, the singer has coached several young talents. And obviously, their performance was able to convince the jury and the public. We take stock!
Lara Fabian: her team has won the hearts of Internet users
The French enthusiasm for song and music definitely knows no limits. This new program, the first episode of which we discover this evening, is enjoying great success. Including on social networks. Thus, on X, many took the time to give their opinion on the performances of each group. Let's remember the principle: in Dreamteam, each competing star supervises a group of children. However, the young people accompanied by Lara Fabian havet much more for the public.
Moreover, the singer had no trouble winning the round against Matt Pokora's team. Some have pointed out that the two groups do not have the same style at all. Which could make the comparison difficult. That said, in the end, Lara Fabian managed to win in front of the handsome blonde and his team.
On X, there was no shortage of compliments. Some go so far as to recommend the beauty as a singing teacher for the students of the Star Academy. A relevant remark when we know that she played the role of director, in the Quebec version of the program.
The other Dreamteam teams
On the set, Lara Fabian and Matt Pokora were not the only ones to present young talents. In the show, viewers also saw the performances of children coached by Black M, Claudio Capéo, Jenifer and Camille Lellouche. Finally, on the jury, we were able to find prestigious artists. Namely: Anggu, Lorie Pester, Chris Marques and Michael Jones.
--------------------------------------
Here were some other comments about Lara and her team on X:
“Lara Fabian: Just extraordinary as always, for me the most beautiful voice of all with a sweet and luminous personality. And what a coach! MAGNIFICENT TEAM. ❤❤❤❤❤
“Lara Fabian the greatest French-speaking voice by far. It’s a masterclass she offered these girls for their artistic future #DreamTeam”
“My idol is with children and says, “Can I hold you?” and you think I'm going to keep quiet? I will say all my life that this exceptional woman saved me and that she is the greatest artist in our universe #DreamTeam #LaraFabian”
You get the point…Ultimately, the teams of Black M and Claudio Capeo joined Lara’s team for the final, to be broadcast next Friday (1/26).
If you want to learn more about how this show differs from The Voice Kids, a nice article is available at (https://www.gralon.com/articles/news-and-media/television/article-dream-team--the-next-generation-of-stars--5-good-reasons-to-watch-the-tf1-show-13774.html).
And yet another major story was that Lara joined the Enfoires for their first two concerts (at least). The Lara Fabian Family FB site provided videos with extracts from those shows, at Arkea Arena in Bordeaux:

THE NEWS STAR NEWS
Lara Fabian returns to Les Enfoirés: this singer with whom she discovered “a lot of affinities”
Interviewed by the Belgian media dhnet.be, singer Lara Fabian revealed the name of the artist with whom she maintains a special relationship, since she participated in the Enfoirés tour.
Singer Lara Fabian will take the stage at the Arkéa Arena in Bordeaux in a few days . Indeed, the interpreter of Je t'aime is participating in the Enfoirés 2024 tour . Interviewed by dhnet.be, the artist revealed the name of the singer with whom she discovered “a lot of affinities”. This is Claudio Capéo, discovered in The Voice in 2016. Lara Fabian told the Belgian media: “Since my last participation, I have been contacted every year to be part of the tour again, but my schedule prevented me from doing so. ”
She also expressed her pleasure at meeting other artists, including Mentissa, Slimane, and Patrick Bruel. She also revealed to our colleagues: “I have good memories of my experience with the Enfoirés, because there is always a lot of fun and freedom within these meetings” , then specifying: “It allows us to all tune into the same frequency and be at the service not of our own careers, but of a cause which unfortunately persists”.
A new edition of Les Enfoirés
It was in 2005 that Lara Fabian took the stage for the benefit of Restos du coeur for the last time. The singer will make her return alongside Matt Pokora (absent for six years), Shy'm, as well as other alumni. Among the latter, we will find Jean-Louis Aubert, Michèle Laroque, Zazie, Isabelle Nanty, Julien Clerc, recalled (the publication) Purepeople. Actor Michaël Youn announced that he would participate in this 2024 edition on Télé-Loisirs : “Yes! It’s yes, frank and massive. We’ll see me in Bordeaux,” he declared. There will be around fifty to provide the show on the stage of the Arkéa Arena in Bordeaux, during six performances scheduled from January 18 to 22, our colleagues specified.
-------------------------------------
Lara may now say she has good memories concerning Les Enfoires, but the truth is she often had bad experiences, as discussed in numerous interviews, where she claimed a 'clique' of performers monopolized the show, leaving her feeling left out. Those performers are no longer present.
And finally, there were several stories concerning the Star Academie in France. In particular, the Lara Fabian est ton autre FB site reported, in conjunction with the following picture,
www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=917874069707395&set=a.216252733202869
that “Lara Fabian will be present this coming Saturday at the Star Academy castle of Dammarie-les-Lys for a masterclass with Hélèna, Julien and Pierre.”
This ends up being somewhat awkward, in that the candidate for the Star Academie Lenie, whom Lara had backed, was supposed to sing a duet with and was even writing a song for was eliminated in the semi-finals. An article about Lenie's experience (admittedly a bit off-topic), can be found at (https://www.chartsinfrance.net/Star-Academy/news-127484.html):
---------------------------------
Lénie soon in a famous TF1 show after “Star Academy”?
Leading candidate of the last season of the “Star Academy”, Lénie has been in high demand since her departure from the castle. Invited to answer questions from videographer Alix Grousset, the young artist talks about her future projects, and the possibility of participating in another cult TF1 show.
Lénie was eliminated from the “Star Academy” at the gates of the semi-final. A difficult shock to absorb for the young 18-year-old artist, who almost collapsed live when Nikos Aliagas announced her departure. “I prepared to leave but I didn't anticipate how many emotions would go through my mind and body. You have the impression that it's the end of the world, because you are in a bubble, you have no information from the outside, you don't have your family... We are in an experience super intense and suddenly everything stops. At the time, I told myself that the public didn't like me, I couldn't speak anymore. Everything got mixed up, I no longer had any reactions”, says Lénie in an interview given to videographer Alix Grousset, posted on YouTube. Fortunately the singer was able to reassure herself by discovering the many messages of support and sympathy that she has received since leaving the castle: “It was when I got my phone back that I understood to what extent there was of love. When I saw the subscribers, the people who tell me “I love you” all day long, it’s amazing. I'm touched. That's all I needed. It feels so good .”
It was a click
Throughout the video, while she has already announced on television who she sees winning the "Star Academy", Lénie reveals that the student to whom she was closest in the adventure is Djebril, and that the performance that was her favorite on the bonuses is her singing/dancing scene on “What About Us” by Pink, in a duet with Aurélie Konaté, ex-candidate of season 2. Above all, and the public is impatiently awaiting this news, the youngest of the competition says more about the rest of her projects . Even if everything is still a little vague, Lénie, who has very strong memories of her duet with Christophe Maé on the stage of the Accor Arena, admits to having developed a passion at the "Star Academy" for... musicals ! “It interests me greatly. I really like it, and I didn't think I liked it so much. I found the musical a bit old-fashioned. I had an image that was a bit cliché. And when I saw the show “Molière”… It was a click. And the crazy pleasure I had in making the painting on “L’assassymphonie”! The week dedicated to musicals was incredible. Frankly, it’s something I would really like to work on", confesses the young singer, who not only excelled in singing during her time at the “Star Academy”, but also in acting and dancing, her strong point.
Lénie in the casting of “Dancing with the Stars”?
Besides, could the gifted young lady participate in “Dancing with the Stars” in the future? While season 13 is soon arriving on TF1 with a teacher from the “Star Academy” in the casting, Lénie leaves the door open... “That would be great! I think I'm going to have to think carefully about everything that's going to happen here. There are a lot of things that are going to happen. I will have to be careful about the choices I make, that I am well surrounded. I'm going to have to trust people”, says Lénie cautiously, not preferring to skip ahead: “If things as big [as “Dancing with the Stars”] happen, I'm going to ask for more professional advice. If I listen to myself, I do everything! But we must not forget that there is the tour, other things behind it. I must not get stuck.” And among her desires are obviously music, and the possibility of a first album. “I would really like to release songs, very personal things about my life, texts where I bare myself. I’ve been writing a lot since I was little”, she assures. To be continued!
---------------------------------
Her ‘defeat’ was not recieved well by some segments of the public, or by her fellow contestants; numerous pictures of them crying for her can be found on-line. And to make matters worse, the announcement that Lara would be coming after all to the Star Academie while Lenie, her favorite, was no longer there, bred some further discontent. Though one supposes that if Lenie had been there, it would have been more difficult for Lara to act in a supportive manner to all the candidates, as she can do now. There are rumors that Helene is planning a surprise for Lenie, even perhaps asking her to join in the song with Lara, although that seems a bit far-fetched. We’ll see…

We can expect more of these. The only difference between Lara's promos was that she noted that she has had many beautiful moments in the past in Romania; of course that’s true for Prague as well (e.g., ‘Un soir autor du monde’, www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3HHvdsyH64).
So… Appearances on the Dream Team, Les Enfoires, a new single to be released on Friday, and an upcoming appearance on the Star Academie on Saturday, …Lara seems to be having the time of her life, both as a performer and a teacher The best of both her worlds...

We’ll see…

As can be seen these feature Slimane Nebchi, who is with her on the Voice Kids as well as Les Enfoirees.
Selected segments of Lara taken from various portions of The Dream Team broadcast were put together for the Instagram post of ‘heartsforlara’ and linked to by the Lara Fabian America FB site:

And looking further ahead, Lara released a promo for her upcoming April concert in Romania and Prague, telling her potential audiences that she can’t wait to see them (thanks to the Lara Fabian Family FB site for the links):

We can expect more of these. The only difference between Lara's promos was that she noted that she has had many beautiful moments in the past in Romania; of course that’s true for Prague as well (e.g., ‘Un soir autor du monde’, www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3HHvdsyH64).
So… Appearances on the Dream Team, Les Enfoires, a new single to be released on Friday, and an upcoming appearance on the Star Academie on Saturday, …Lara seems to be having the time of her life, both as a performer and a teacher The best of both her worlds...
