A very different, alluring picture…she is 54 years old.
Various fan sites wished Lara a happy birthday, either in conjunction with the new cover photo (e.g., the Lara Fabian The Netherlands FB site) or by posting their own creative celebratory item, e.g.:
The Lara Fabian est ton autre FB page wished her a happy birthday with a very appropriate video, of Lara singing a portion of ‘Immortelle’, at

Many other birthday greetings are showing up on Lara's Instagram Stories site, including one from her team on The Voice Kids. More pictures and well-wishes will likely follow throughout the day.
Prior to this Lara published a very early photo of herself

with the comment, “Let us keep our childish soul again and forever... The best is at our doors🎶” (which seems like a more ‘immediate’ version of ‘the best is yet to come’).
Gala commented on that picture in association with Lara’s birthday (https://www.gala.fr/l_actu/news_de_stars/lara-fabian-enfant-elle-devoile-un-adorable-souvenir-a-laube-de-ses-54-ans_535834):

Lara Fabian as a child: she reveals an adorable memory as she turns 54
On Instagram, Sunday January 7, Lara Fabian posted a tender photo of herself when she was a child, adding a caption worthy of a little daily mantra.
Sunday January 7, Lara Fabian published, on her Instagram account, an adorable photo of herself when she was just a little girl. In the photo, the Belgian-Canadian singer, who will celebrate her 54th birthday on Tuesday January 9 (and who, de facto, shares Kate Middleton's birthday), appears dark-haired and very shy. However, we recognize her adorable big brown eyes fleeing the lens. “Let us keep our childish soul, again and forever… The best is just around the corner,” she wrote philosophically, in the caption of her publication.
In the comments, Nikos Aliagas posted a heart emoji. Lara Fabian's fans, for their part, reacted with tenderness upon discovering the artist during her younger years, when she was still a visibly very discreet unknown, judging by her rather introverted pose. "You haven't changed. Still the same look", "Oh! So adorable. It's important to preserve this childish soul", "You look so much like your daughter [she is Lou's mother, aged 16 years old and the fruit of her former love for the Italian director and composer Gérard Pullicino, Editor's note]", "Too cute", we can read under the photo. On October 7, the singer already revealed a photo of her as a child on the social network.
The future coach of The Voice Kids
In the above photo, Lara Fabian stood as tall as three apples, wearing a pretty black dress, and she was smiling at a person visibly to her right. A montage appears to have been made to make it appear as if she was sitting in a red chair similar to the one on The Voice. She will in fact be a coach in the 10th season of the children's version of the program, which will soon be broadcast on TF1. As a clue to her next role in the reality TV show supposed to discover new young talents, she already wrote: “Let us all carefully guard this childish soul that lies dormant within us… The best is yet to come.” As a reminder, the interpreter of the title Je t'aime had been co-coach of season 2 of The Voice: la plus belle voix, and juror in 2020, during season 9. This will therefore not be her first attempt on the famous carmine armchair.

Lara posted a picture of her previous association with the Voice in France, on the show 'The Voice': la plus belle voix, at
www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=947102623440698&set=a.259330805551220
with the caption “Let's rock today The Voice: the most beautiful voice 🎶”
Lara’s continued absence from Quebec, currently associated with The Voice Kids, has not gone unnoticed. An article appeared in (https://showbizz.net/stars/lara-fabian-etait-spectaculaire-sur-sa-photo-du-nouvel-an):
-------------------------
Lara Fabian looked spectacular in her New Year's photo
Lara Fabian turned heads in the photo that accompanied her New Year's Day wishes. We give you news of the Belgian singer, who we haven't seen much in Quebec since the end of Star Académie .
Like many stars, Lara Fabian shared her New Year wishes with her subscribers on social networks.
The singer looked nothing short of spectacular in the photo that accompanied her vows, which you can read below.
See the portrait at the bottom of the article. [NB - the picture from last week...]
“In this new year, may hope brighten your days and may your dreams come true. May every moment be filled with happiness, health and love. May this year be an opportunity for new beginnings, great encounters and unexpected successes. Happy New Year to you all! “, she said on January 1 on Instagram.
Since the end of the second season of Star Académie, we have seen little of Lara Fabian in Quebec. She is currently working in France.
The French will be able to see her in 2024 in the 10th season of The Voice Kids on TF1. She will be a coach alongside Slimane, Patrick Fiori and Claudio Capéo. Then, from January 19, she will be in the new show Dream Team: The Next Generation of Stars with Black M, Camille Lellouche, M Pokora, Jenifer and Claudio Capéo. These six stars created their team with talented children, aged between 8 and 14 years old. At each stage, the six teams will compete in duels and the public will be asked to vote for the most deserving.
She also recently made a quick visit to the studio to record the song “Et maintenant” as a duet with Florent Pagny. The piece appears on the latter's album, 2 Bis, released in September.
Lara Fabian will return to Quebec this summer as part of her Je t'aime tour. She will go to the Grand Théâtre de Québec, the Place des Arts in Montréal as well as the Cogeco Amphitheater in Trois-Rivières. See all dates here [Lara's URL].
Note that on each of her publications in recent months, she concludes by saying: The best is yet to come. Could this be the title of her next album?
Remember that Lara Fabian's daughter, Lou Pullicino, celebrated her 16th birthday last November. The proud mom shared a photo, which you can see here. [

Continuing with Lara’s new year flurry of posts, she posted the following beautiful picture of herself at
www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=946472523503708&set=a.259330805551220
with the caption, “No filter morning🎶”; it got an immediate response in the press (https://www.grazia.fr/people/lara-fabian-radieuse-elle-se-devoile-sans-filtre-et-affiche-une-mine-radieuse-1030499.html):
--------------------------
Lara Fabian, 53 years old [NB: now outdated ] and radiant: she reveals herself “without filter” and displays a radiant complexion
Singer Lara Fabian is absolutely radiant. At 53, the Belgian-Canadian star is more resplendent than ever. The proof, she shared on her Instagram account, a photo of herself natural, without an ounce of makeup, and even: getting out of bed. Proof that without the cameras, the singer likes to reveal herself without artifice.
A natural star
In this photo published on Instagram, we discover Lara Fabian displaying a radiant smile, makeup-free skin and natural hair. A photo “without filter” as she indicates which has something to please her fans. Moreover, celebrities like the host Nikos Aliagas or the singer Camille Lellouche liked her photo.
In comments, many Internet users complimented the woman by writing: “You are sublime” or “So beautiful” or even “You are truly a beautiful woman and naturally the years have no influence on you.” And it's true: despite the years that pass, Lara Fabian is still as radiant, on social networks as on stage.
Celebrities without artifice
This is not the first time that the singer has revealed herself naturally, without a hint of makeup. On her Instagram account, the star does not hesitate to regularly share videos, or photos, of her life behind the scenes. In most cases, Lara Fabian appears without makeup, to the delight of fans. It must be admitted that for several years, more and more celebrities have dared to show themselves without artifice. Pamela Anderson, Sharon Stone, Demi Moore and even Cindy Crawford, all these stars reveal themselves without filter. Something to please.
With this publication, Lara Fabian will have conquered the Web and further broken the diktats of beauty as well as the pressure of women on aging. Hot!

In other news, Lara supported a candidate on the Star Academie with a short video (thanks to the Lara Fabian Family FB site):
www.facebook.com/reel/1482768982317562
An article about it appeared in PurePeople (https://www.purepeople.com/article/star-academy-2023-une-grande-star-a-reserve-une-belle-surprise-a-lenie-qui-est-sa-plus-grande-fan_a518292/1):
------------------------
Star Academy 2023: A big star has a nice surprise in store for Lénie, who is her biggest fan!
After singing at Bercy with Christophe Maeé a few days ago, Lénie had the great pleasure of seeing that a big star of whom she is a fan had a nice surprise in store for her this evening...
During the December 15 bonus, Lénie received her Christmas present early. And not just any one! Since she was immunized that evening, and therefore not risking any elimination, she was able to join Christophe Maé on stage, who was expected for a very large concert at the Accor Arena in Bercy in front of thousands of people, 16,000 very exactly. Something to delight the young candidate.
This Saturday, January 6, a new surprise was reserved for her since the very great Lara Fabian, of whom she is a fan, recorded a message for her. “I’m sending you all the love, courage and strength you need for tonight, you’re going to be a hit!”, declares the wife of magician Gabriel di Giorgi. “Can I see her again please!!”, asked Lénie, very touched, to Nikos Aliagas, even though the video did not appear on the giant screen the first time. “Thank you,” she then said, this time having actually seen the video. Let us point out that she had just performed her hit Je T'aime on stage.
Lénie immune for this January 6 bonus
Nikos Aliagas then implied that the singer could come to an upcoming bonus. Umberto Tozzi, the famous Italian singer who sang his title Ti Amo this evening with Alex, then tried to convey the message to Lara Fabian, by speaking to her face to camera: “You have to come and sing with Lénie!". The latter would of course be delighted to be able to meet her, and sing with her.
As a reminder, Lénie was immune again this evening. Just like Julien. The students in danger were Pierre, Axel, Djebril and Héléna, who this evening found herself affected by a terrible curse since she appeared at the start of the live in a purple-pink outfit, just like four of the first seven eliminated from the 'adventure’. It is now up to her to prove that this is just an unfortunate coincidence.
------------------------------------
Some photos of the event can be found at
www.purepeople.com/diapo/star-academy-2023-une-grande-star-a-reserve-une-belle-surprise-a-lenie-qui-est-sa-plus-grande-fan_a518292/1
The candidate singing “Je t’aime” would have been enough reason for Lara to offer her support, but the fact that she was a big fan made it even more understandable. However, this was not treated positively by all, as discussed at (https://www.programme-tv.net/news/tv/344128-on-dirait-les-dedicaces-payantes-la-surprise-de-lara-fabian-pour-lenie-star-academy-tres-critiquee-par-les-internautes/):
-----------------------------
“It looks like paid signings”: Lara Fabian’s surprise for Lénie (Star Academy) very criticized by Internet users
This Saturday, January 6, during the Star Academy bonus on TF1, the students had surprises in store for their classmates. Héléna gave Lénie a little video of her idol: Lara Fabian. But the surprise was widely criticized on the networks...
The tenth Star Academy bonus, broadcast this Saturday January 6 on TF1, marked the start of the year 2024 with a stage shared between the emerging talents of the castle and icons of variety. The memorable performances gave rise to unique moments, creating synergy between the apprentice singers and the seasoned artists. Eddy de Pretto and Djebril joined forces on Kid, offering a performance imbued with authenticity. Camille Lellouche, moving, delivered a touching interpretation of N'insiste pas alongside Lénie. Claudio Capéo , dynamic, electrified the stage with A Man Standing, accompanied by Julien. Raphaël brought back the emotion of Caravane alongside Pierre. Anggun must reprise Snow in the Sahara, sharing the stage with Héléna. Umberto Tozzi revisited his hit Ti Amo in a duet with Axel .
Looking back at last week
After the elimination of Candice the previous week, the six remaining academicians faced a new major challenge: carte blanche . Every decision, from the choice of songs to the duets with the guest artists, weighed heavily on the destiny of the participants. The evaluation added a dose of suspense, with each academician drawing a song from three themes. Lénie and Julien brilliantly won immunity, while Héléna, Djebril, Pierre and Axel found themselves in the hot seat. This appointment was particularly significant for Héléna and Pierre, who were facing their first real danger. For Djebril, it was a fifth nomination, reflecting the constant challenges he faces. Axel, convinced of having passed his evaluation and avoiding nomination, had to endure the disappointment.
Lara Fabian's surprise widely criticized on social networks
This challenge led to tensions and turmoil, testing the skills of academicians. Héléna, going through a difficult period after the loss of her grandmother, Pierre, faced with a first real nomination, Axel, who was certain to be immune, and Djebril, saved by the public the previous week, all had to defend their place during this intense prime. During the prime this Saturday, the students had surprises in store for their classmates. Axel was joined, for example, by his friends, and Héléna wanted to surprise Lénie who is a fan of Lara Fabian. The latter had recorded a very short video for her. “ It’s Lara Fabian, I’m sending you all the love and all the courage and all the strength you need for tonight, you’re going to be a hit ,” said the singer. On X, formerly Twitter, many Internet users made fun of this sequence, considered a bit cheap. “It looks like paid dedications,” said one Internet user, for example. Lénie, who was able to watch the video twice, was over the moon.
------------------
Actually, if one reads the comments, rather than criticizing Lara for doing it, the negative ones were more on the line of saying Lara put too little effort into the very short video, which looked like her standard good wishes for any occasion. This story is also covered in the video at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=8V5K_CVrPhE
[Personally, I saw nothing wrong with it - her comments, though short, seemed sincere...].
The Lara Fabian est ton autre FB site reported that “Lara Fabian will be present in the show “La Boîte à secrets” this Friday January 12 at 9:10 p.m. on France 3.
The opportunity for her to give VITAA a nice surprise 🎤” VITAA referred to here is a French singer/songwriter; her FB site is at

Last week’s link to the actual video was subsequently blocked; however, it has reappeared (at the time of this writing) at:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXOQ5N4Gfz4
At least one viewer appreciated the ‘fusion’ of the two voices (Lara and Mohamed Abdo) and two languages (French, Arabic), though one must say their voices and the musical styles do not make the most natural of partners. Here’s a discussion of the event (https://english.ahram.org.eg/NewsContent/5/33/514930/Arts--Culture/Music/Lara-Fabian,-Hauser-join-Saudi-star-Mohammed-Abdu;.aspx):
-------------------------------------
Lara Fabian, Hauser join Saudi star Mohammed Abdu's Diamond Jubilee concert in Riyadh
Riyadh hosted the Diamond Jubilee of the renowned Saudi singer Mohammed Abdu, inviting international stars such as Lara Fabian and cellist Hauser to the stage.
The concert which took place on 30 December aimed at honoring the six-decade-long legacy of the leading Saudi singer.
The celebration began with Turki Al-Sheikh, Saudi chairman of the General Authority for Entertainment, taking the stage and offering Abdu a gift made of gold and thanking the artist for his rich contribution to Saudi culture that, among many elements, includes 300 songs written for his homeland.
In his turn, Abdu decided to donate the gift to the Saudi campaign working on providing humanitarian relief to people in Gaza.
During the event, Abdu performed some of his best-known works, from Sawtak Yonadini (Your Voice Calls Me) and Kol Ma Nasnas (Every Time We Feel Breeze) to numerous other known hits.
The concert also featured Lara Fabian, the renowned Belgian-Canadian pop singer and songwriter, widely admired for her unique soprano.
It also included a segment performed by the world-renowned cellist Hauser who played the famous Sway accompanied by the grand orchestra.
Hauser also joined Abdu in one of the songs, playing cello to Arabic music for the first time in the Serbian musician's career.

Various promos for Lara’s 2024 activities appeared:
Lara was on the cover of Tele Magazine, as posted by the Lara Fabian America FB site,
www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=794336346039426&set=a.651204175377505
advertising the Dream Team show, with the title, ‘Students and Coaches Unit to Win’. Here’s the translation (thanks to that site for the scans...):
------------------------
Dream Team: La Releve des Stars
The new Front Page musical competition
In this new TF1 show, hosted by Helene Mannarino, six stars from the world of music team up with children to challenge each other to musical duels.
SIX STARS FOR SIX TEAMS
Lara Fabian, Claudio Capeo, Jenifer, Matt Pokora, Camille Lellouche and Black M agreed to act as guinea pigs for Dream Team: la releve des stars. "They were immediately won over by the idea of passing on their passion," explains Julien Degroote, from the TF1 group's creative department. Generous, committed artists, ready to battle it out with their opponents for an evening. "The original thing is to feel the cohesion of an artist's team," stresses Frederic Pediraza, one of the producers. "They're eager to organize the show, anxious to put on the best show, but they also let their sense of competition shine through". Because it's all about vocal performance, stagecraft and team spirit.
THE RULES OF THE GAME
Unlike a TV talent show like The Voice Kids, where the aim is to revere artists, this is a real competition, with a succession of song battles between teams, each of whom doesn't know in advance which one they're going to face. After the performance, each team is rated equally by a panel of celebrities and by the audience in the room, who decide between them. At the end of the first duels, a second-chance round offers the possibility of solo confrontations. Each coach chooses a song and a child from his or her team to perform it. But be careful! This round is eliminatory. After the final battle, only one team and its mentor are declared winners. The children in the winning team each win a trip worth 4,000 euros.
YOUNG TALENTS NOT ENTIRELY UNKNOWN
Each team is made up of five children, carefully selected during a six-month regional casting process.
“Depending on the artist mentors, we wanted children from similar backgrounds, in their own image and whom they admired," explains Deborah Nahon, also a producer. “We presented about twenty to each artist, and they each chose five." Production did not forbid the selection of talents who have already shone on shows such as Junior Eurovision (such as Zoé, the 2023 winner), The Voice Kids or musicals. Although the teams are not mixed, TF1 refutes the term "look-alike" contest, even if strong similarities emerge throughout the show, such as the outfits, which match those of the mentors.
A PANEL OF SEASONED JUDGES
To referee these duels, four show-business celebrities must vote for the teams they find most appealing: singer Anggun, Jean-Jacques Gold-man's former sidekick Michael Jones, singer/actress Lorie Pester and dancer/choreographer Chris Marques.
Their votes count equally with those of the audience.
THREE QUESTIONS FOR HELENE MANNARINO
The presenter, who joined C'est Canteloup just over a year ago, will be at the helm of this new entertainment show. First impressions.
Were you immediately seduced by this project?
Yes, but to be honest, I wondered whether it was too big for me and whether I should call Nikos. (Laughs.) Then I said to myself, "Go for it". I was really happy to be part of a creation. It was the first time for everyone, even the artists. We joined forces, and I love that.
What struck you most during the recording?
The producers told me right away that it was essential to accompany the children properly. I didn't have to force myself. It was a pleasure. I thought of my nieces and nephews when I imagined them on the set. I took on the role of big sister with the young talents.
It was very enriching in human terms.
Did you feel at home as the host of a major entertainment show?
I had a bit of a thrill when I arrived on the set, because it's also the set of Star Academy and Danse avec les stars. I found myself with artists I'd admired when I was little, like Lara Fabian and Lorie, whose posters and albums I had.
It was pretty crazy. But I soon got over my fears. What reassured me was the work. There was no pressure.
I'd taken part in all the rehearsals and meetings. I knew my subject and I lived the adventure to the full.

Continuing with this theme, a promo video for the show, featuring ‘the last rehearsals’ can be found at

A lot of promotion for a show that seems to be many months away from airing…
The Lara Fabian Family FB site posted Lara’s promo for her April 29th concert in Zagreb, at
www.facebook.com/reel/788359333067933
She indicated she “can’t wait to see you there"; one imagines there will be similar promos for the other venues in eastern Europe/western Asia.
And, on a different note, Inger Lise Hope sang Adagio for the Blind Audition on The Voice Norway 2024; the song really lets one show vocal prowess. It can be seen at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4izFK3wbfI
Note that with the opening chords of the song, everybody knew what song it was .
The Lara Fabian America FB site published a highly creative ‘artistic’ picture of Lara by Dali Ka with the name ‘Équanimité”. It can be found at

Lacking evidence to the contrary, one assumes Lara will continue working on The Voice Kids, and more promotions may appear as well for The Dream Team show, whose broadcast is now 10 days away. Plus she will be on France 3 Friday in La Boîte à secrets. A busy beginning for 2024!

Lara’s continued absence from Quebec, currently associated with The Voice Kids, has not gone unnoticed. An article appeared in (https://showbizz.net/stars/lara-fabian-etait-spectaculaire-sur-sa-photo-du-nouvel-an):

with the caption, “No filter morning🎶”; it got an immediate response in the press (https://www.grazia.fr/people/lara-fabian-radieuse-elle-se-devoile-sans-filtre-et-affiche-une-mine-radieuse-1030499.html):

The candidate singing “Je t’aime” would have been enough reason for Lara to offer her support, but the fact that she was a big fan made it even more understandable. However, this was not treated positively by all, as discussed at (https://www.programme-tv.net/news/tv/344128-on-dirait-les-dedicaces-payantes-la-surprise-de-lara-fabian-pour-lenie-star-academy-tres-critiquee-par-les-internautes/):

At least one viewer appreciated the ‘fusion’ of the two voices (Lara and Mohamed Abdo) and two languages (French, Arabic), though one must say their voices and the musical styles do not make the most natural of partners. Here’s a discussion of the event (https://english.ahram.org.eg/NewsContent/5/33/514930/Arts--Culture/Music/Lara-Fabian,-Hauser-join-Saudi-star-Mohammed-Abdu;.aspx):

Lara was on the cover of Tele Magazine, as posted by the Lara Fabian America FB site,

advertising the Dream Team show, with the title, ‘Students and Coaches Unit to Win’.

The accompanying text reads: “A work for an artist with a big heart ❤️🎬🎶 from "je t'aime a par amour, passing by l'aziza est en pleurs", in tribute to Daniel Balavoine... Lara Fabian is and will remain an immensely talented artist whose emotion has touched me for a lifetime!
Her authenticity and skin sensitivity are treasures... 💞🙌🏽🎬🎶🍀💋💫🙏🏽
