Lara attended a concert by Zucchero Sugar Fornaciari (henceforth, and as known popularly, Zucchero) at the Teatro Greco di Siracusa (hence in Syracuse, on the east coast of Sicily). She celebrated that fact with an ‘Instagram Story’ showing her there, and enjoying it. Some pictures from the video can be found (thanks to the Lara Fabian America FB site) at

and Lara put a picture of herself with Zuchero on her Instagram site, at
with her comment, “GREAT 👍🏻 YOU ARE GREAT”
Zuchero had four sold out concerts in Sicily (which, as we know, Lara has never had – concerts there, that is), and various videos of his performance can be found on youtube, e.g.

If it seems like Zuchero has been around forever, it’s because he practically has…he’s now 67 years old, born in Concesi, Italy, and he started singing soul/blues music at the age of 12 (from Wikipedia). Lara has had numerous interactions with him, a highlight being the rendition of “Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometimes”,

Given that history, it was interesting to see that Lara’s seats seemed to have been far removed from the stage…but they did take a picture together. One wonders what Lara thinks when she sees all these other performers have wonderful sold out concerts in the province of her birth…
Lara did have one other interaction with fans, wishing everyone a good weekend on her Instagram site. In this case, one is better off looking at the presentations of the two associated pictures shown by the Lara Fabian The Netherlands FB site at

where one can see she was listening to the song “Burna Boy - For My Hand” featuring Ed Sheeran, and that the official music video of it can be found at

So while there might not be much to say professionally, Lara is back to feeling a responsibility to keep in touch with her fans, something not much in evidence the first part of this year.
As off-topic as this is, one should not let pass unacknowledged the death of Sinead O’Connor this past week at the age of 56. As far as one can tell, Lara never sang any of her songs (nor the reverse), and their temperaments were superficially quite different. Lara has said recently that she has spent a lot of her life singing to please others, and has only recently decided that her voice should be used the way that’s most natural for her. In contrast, Sinead said she “has been true to herself from the word go” (e.g., www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2u7pBUQnHY), and pleasing others was definitely not part of her world view. Lara’s ‘accommodation’ to the public seemed to have given her an outwardly easier path, but she said it came at a cost to her inner peace. Sinead had, as one knows, many confrontations with the public, and it too was accompanied by psychological struggles. They were similar as well in this aspect: when it came to moral views, each stood up for what they believe in their hearts, and did not back down (see all of Lara’s discussion of singing ‘La Difference’, and Sinead with reference to the Catholic Church in Ireland, as but one set of examples). Strong women, both…
Interesting photo(s) of the week:
From the Lara Fabian The Netherlands FB site, two ‘Artistic Fantasy’ pictures of Lara from Gina Funes, first dressed in a modern blue striped trouser suit and then Lara dressed as a Victorian:

Wonderfully done! They also provide a link to other ‘artistic fantasy’ pictures Gina has done of Lara, at www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.604484115018316&type=3.
The Lara Fabian Connecting People site (https://vk.com/lf_cp) has put together some examples of Lara Fabian as Barbie, as can be seen on their home page. Apparently, all you need is some picture, which you can use on www.bairbie.me/, and, voila, Lara (or anyone else) as Barbie!
And from the Lara Fabian America FB site, a picture of Lara one could definitely use as Barbie (though it looks like the body is apparently still under construction ):

If Lara is currently working on anything, it is not being displayed in any of her public interaction pictures or videos. What is shown indicates that in other areas of life she is enjoying herself. A good role model…
