Here an overview of the album "Le Scret" by Lara Fabian will be created. I would like to try to look at the content of the album from a holistic perspective that takes both scientific and cultural aspects into account. Please be patient.
Breaking through the mundane, taking a restful pause and engaging with the creative are indispensable prerequisites for a satisfying human existence. Every kind of art and music in particular, create opportunities for us to achieve this. Their outstanding creations inspire us to reflect on ourselves and our fellow human beings. Lara Fabian's album "Le Secret" is one of these special creations. |
Le Secret
(released 2013 / produced by Manu Pitois)
Outstanding works of art are usually creations that have been created over a long period of time. This is also the case with the creation of this album: "Le Secret". It was first mentioned in the entries of this forum in 2009, so at least 4 years passed from the idea to its completion, 4 years in which those involved pursued and realised this project with great creativity and dedication. "Le Secret" is the story of a journey. It is about the problems one can encounter in life and the solution to find the peace and joy that lie within ourselves. This album is not a simple string of disconnected songs, but it tells of stories and metaphors that are thematically connected and show a spiritual path to healing. One has to expose the ‘secret’ wrongs that are done to people, and then provide the ‘secret’ solution, getting in touch with the ‘secret’ point of our inner being. |

Song No. 1
Le Secret
The Song describes a secret "wrong" |
French | English | Spanish | Italian |
Tu es comme un souffle court Un trait fait par une main souillée Qui te berce en secret | You are like a short breath A line made by a dirty hand That cradles you in secret | Eres como una respiración corta Una línea hecha por una mano sucia Que te acuna en secreto | Sei come un respiro corto Una linea fatta da una mano sporca Che ti culla in segreto |
Tu sens que ces gestes sont volés Que personne ne te croirait Qu'on dira qu'il t'aimait | You feel that these gestures are stolen That no one would believe you That they'll say they loved you | Sientes que estos gestos son robados Que nadie te creería Que dirán que te quisieron | Si ha la sensazione che questi gesti siano rubati Che nessuno ti crederà Che diranno di averti amato |
Ton corps est une île perdue Le souvenir d'enfance D'une princesse sans défense Qui en a bien trop vu Et puis s'est tue | Your body is a lost island The childhood memory Of a helpless princess Who has seen too much And then fell silent | Tu cuerpo es una isla perdida El recuerdo de la infancia De una princesa indefensa Que ha visto demasiado Y luego calló | Il tuo corpo è un'isola sperduta Il ricordo d'infanzia Di una principessa indifesa Che ha visto troppo E poi è caduta in silenzio |
Trouver les mots qui se sont noyés Au fond de tes nuits violées Et survivre au secret | Find the words that have drowned In the depths of your violated nights And survive the secret | Encuentra las palabras que se han ahogado En las profundidades de tus noches violadas Y sobrevive al secreto | Trova le parole che sono annegate Nelle profondità delle vostre notti violate E sopravvivere al segreto |
Ton corps est une île perdue Portée par une mer aux larmes salées et amères Où plus rien ne vit Rien ne s'espère | Your body is a lost island Carried by a sea of salty and bitter tears Where nothing lives anymore Nothing is hoped for | Tu cuerpo es una isla perdida Llevado por un mar de lágrimas saladas y amargas Donde ya nada vive Nada se espera | Il tuo corpo è un'isola sperduta Trasportato da un mare di lacrime salate e amare Dove nulla vive più Nulla è sperato |
Pourtant tu pries, renies Ce que crie ton ventre Tu le jures, te rassures Tu es vivante | Yet you pray, deny What your belly cries You swear it, reassure yourself You are alive | Sin embargo, rezas, niegas Lo que tu vientre grita Lo juras, te tranquilizas Que estás vivo | Eppure preghi, neghi Ciò che la tua pancia grida Lo giuri, ti rassicuri che sei vivo |
La femme que tu deviendras La voix de ton âme Le chemin que trouvera ton cœur Et qui sauvera l'enfant, la sœur Tu n'as pas fait d'erreur Tu n'as rien à reprocher à la petite fille que tu étais Il ne te suffira que de l'aimer | The woman you will become The voice of your soul The path your heart will find And who will save the child, the sister You didn't make a mistake You have nothing to reproach the little girl you were All you have to do is love her | La mujer en que te convertirás La voz de tu alma El camino que encontrará tu corazón Y que salvará al niño, a la hermana No cometiste un error No tienes nada que reprochar a la niña que fuiste Todo lo que tienes que hacer es amarla | La donna che diventerai La voce della tua anima La strada che il tuo cuore troverà E chi salverà il bambino, la sorella Non hai commesso un errore Non hai nulla da rimproverare alla bambina che eri Tutto ciò che devi fare è amarla |
Ton corps est parfait Laisse-le t'aimer C'est ça le secret | Your body is perfect Let it love you That's the secret | Tu cuerpo es perfecto Deja que te ame Ese es el secreto | Il tuo corpo è perfetto Lasciate che vi ami Questo è il segreto4 |
"Psst! It'll be our secret!" |
What dark and wrong secret would be more suitable than this to open the album: Incest and abuse, the sin against the emotionally dependent, the supposed weaker. The above sentence in the heading may remind one of the depressing scene from a novel or film in which this statement is used to inject the injustice done, disguised as a "secret" into the body of the abused, just as one injects poison with a syringe. Overall, still today 29.5 percent of women have experienced sexual violence in their adulthood, which is about one in three women. In the study, the researchers also asked about experiences of violence up to the age of 16. Here, too, 27.7 percent of the women surveyed reported having experienced sexual assault in childhood. Sexual violence also occurs against men and boys. About one third of the underage victims of rape or sexual assault are male. |
Excerpt from an interview with Lara Fabian on the release of "Le Secret" |
Reporter: The album is called Le Secret and begins with a song of the same name that deals with incest. How did that song arise? Lara: It's the story of an occurrence in which one in three women experience. This song was born when I got in touch with this pain, with women who were subjected to it. This has never happened to me thank God, but it happened with people I love. Incest is unfortunately one of the impacts of the life of a being, whether male or female. And when it comes to impact this is one of the most painful that I wanted to narrate my way. |

Danse
The song describes a secret "solution" |
French | English | Spanish | Italian |
Un petit pas Mon petit chat Mon cœur Danse un petit saut Pleure à chaud Et noie les heures | One small step My little cat My heart Dance a little jump Crying hot And drowns the hours | Un pequeño paso Mi pequeño gato Mi corazón Baila un saltito Llora caliente Y ahoga las horas | Un piccolo passo Il mio piccolo gatto Il mio cuore Danza un piccolo salto Piange caldo E annega le ore |
Même dans la douleur Embrasser ses peurs Même quand l'étoile inaccessible Est un bourreau qui décide De vie ou d'impie, inavouable Insupportable sacrifice Le poids d'un lourd supplice Est le prix demandé, exigé pour exister | Even in pain Embrace your fears Even when the unattainable star Is an executioner who decides Of life or unholy, unmentionable Unbearable sacrifice The weight of a heavy torment Is the price asked, demanded to exist | Incluso en el dolor Abraza tus miedos Incluso cuando la estrella inalcanzable Es un verdugo que decide De la vida o del impío, innombrable Sacrificio insoportable El peso de un tormento pesado Es el precio pedido, exigido para existir | Anche nel dolore Abbraccia le tue paure Anche quando la stella irraggiungibile è un boia che decide Della vita o dell'empio, innominabile Sacrificio insopportabile Il peso di un tormento pesante è il prezzo chiesto, preteso per esistere |
Danse, Vole au-dessus Des âmes en peine Danse cette danse Qui fait de toi une reine | Dancing, Fly over Of souls in pain Dance this dance That makes you a queen | Bailando, Sobrevolando De almas en pena Baila esta danza Que te convierte en reina | Danza, Sorvolare Di anime in pena Balla questa danza Che ti rende una regina |
Oublie la douleur, Embrasse avec chaleur L'étoile qui te tend sa lumière Et de sa magie t'éclaire T'enivre et te livre les secrets les plus Incandescents d'amour Et ressens sans détour La force qui vibre et te rend libre Pour toujours | Forget the pain, Embrace with warmth The star that shines on you And with its magic illuminates you Intoxicates you and gives you the most Incandescent with love And feel without diversions The force that vibrates and sets you free For ever and ever | Olvida el dolor, Abraza con calor La estrella que te alumbra Y con su magia te ilumina Te embriaga y te da lo más Incandescente de amor Y siente sin distracciones La fuerza que vibra y te hace libre Por siempre jamás | Dimenticare il dolore, Abbracciate con calore La stella che brilla su di voi E con la sua magia ti illumina Vi inebria e vi dà il massimo Incandescente d'amore E sentite senza distrazioni La forza che vibra e vi rende liberi Per sempre e per sempre |
Danse mon charme Danse mon drame Et ma vie à tes rêves suspendus Se plie | Dance my charm Dance my drama And my life to your suspended dreams Bends | Baila mi encanto Baila mi drama Y mi vida a tus sueños suspendidos Dobla | Danza il mio fascino Danza il mio dramma E la mia vita ai tuoi sogni sospesi Si piega |
| Dance and dance and dance And forget all about these hells That you can't find on earth, Look at the beauty that your body All your body has brought back to life. |
"Secret Wrong" or "Secret Solution"? |
At first I thought that this song also shows one of the "secret wrongs". This refers to one of the stories about Lara Fabians childhood. At that time she had had negative experiences in ballet class. The teacher denigrated her legs, which is why she refused to show her legs on stage for a long time. Such rejections or denigration can induce a body image disorder and this can eventually lead to manifest dysmorphophobia. Most often, these disorders fixate on a particular part of the body that seems unaesthetic to the person concerned. Women often find fault with their face, breasts, legs or hips, while men feel disfigured mainly by too few muscles, unsightly genitals or too much body hair. Psychological studies show that mental body image is strongly dependent on one's own self-esteem, among other things. The more positive our self-esteem is, the more positively we perceive ourselves and our body. The body image is therefore not a rational construct that can really be measured on the physical body, but is always related to one's own mental state and the resulting subjective perception. At the beginning of the music video for "Danse", the viewer only gets to see the legs of a ballet dancer. The story about Lara Fabian's past and the video lead one to believe that this is another "secret wrong". The song lyrics, however, speak of perceiving and accepting the pain and still dancing. The dance serves as an act of self-acceptance and self-awareness, so to speak. It is unimportant whether the negative self-image is induced by other people or social conditions (ideal of beauty, role models, traditions), because it is actually we ourselves who misinterpret the conditions and allow this false image to take root in us. So for me this song is about a "Secret Solution"! (I remember a similar incident from my past. As a young adolescent, I developed quite a lot of leg hair at an early age, but that didn't stop me from walking around in shorts in the summer. When a classmate laughed at me because of my leg hair, I actually thought about shaving it off or removing it permanently for a long time. In the end I didn't do it, maybe because one of my greatest heroes of my youth was Tom Selleck as Magnum PI and he was really hairy . Finally, my wife also accepted me as I am. What luck!) |
Song No. 3
Amourexique
The Song describes a secret "wrong" |
French | English | Spanish | Italian |
Je mourrai pour qu'un ange Me ranime au-delà D'une réalité où mon corps affamé se bat Je ne veux pas ce vaisseau Ces chairs, ce ventre, ces bras Sinon pour plonger dans un espace où je ne suis pas Et noyer, noyer l'océan qui boit Mon sang, ma voix | I'll die so that an angel To revive me beyond From a reality where my starving body fights I don't want this vessel This flesh, this belly, these arms Except to plunge into a space where I don't belong And drown, drown the ocean that drinks My blood, my voice | Moriré para que un ángel Me reviva más allá De una realidad donde mi cuerpo hambriento lucha No quiero este recipiente Esta carne, este vientre, estos brazos Salvo para sumergirme en un espacio al que no pertenezco Y ahogar, ahogar el océano que bebe Mi sangre, mi voz | Morirò perché un angelo Mi faccia rinascere al di là Da una realtà in cui il mio corpo affamato combatte Non voglio questo contenitore Questa carne, questo ventre, queste braccia Se non per immergermi in uno spazio a cui non appartengo E annegare, annegare l'oceano che beve il mio sangue, la mia voce |
Légère et floue je dîne De tulipes et d'eau pâle Le blanc immaculé de ma chambre Vomit ses étoiles Je plane au-dessus des vagues Qui chassent mes repas Je vole et reviens d'un monde où la vie ne joue pas Je me noie, noie et vide mon corps malgré moi Mon sang, ma voix | Light and hazy I dine Of tulips and pale water The immaculate white of my room Vomits its stars I float above the waves That chase away my meals I fly and return from a world where life does not play I drown, drown and empty my body in spite of myself My blood, my voice | Ligero y brumoso ceno De tulipanes y agua pálida El blanco inmaculado de mi habitación Vomita sus estrellas Floto sobre las olas Que ahuyentan mi comida Vuelo y vuelvo de un mundo donde la vida no juega Me ahogo, me ahogo y vacío mi cuerpo a pesar mío Mi sangre, mi voz | Leggero e vaporoso ceno Di tulipani e acqua pallida Il bianco immacolato della mia stanza vomita le sue stelle Galleggio sopra le onde che scacciano i miei pasti Volo e ritorno da un mondo dove la vita non gioca Annego, annego e svuoto il mio corpo a dispetto di me stesso Il mio sangue, la mia voce |
Je me noie, je me vois, je perçois L'ange est là | I drown, I see myself, I perceive The angel is there | Me ahogo, me veo, percibo El ángel está ahí | Annego, mi vedo, mi percepisco L'angelo è lì |
Toi... | He blows on my wounds The forgotten secret Man is alone in believing that death is his freedom And drowns, crushes his desperate soul You, of you Do you really see Beauty, your very being? You... Tu... |
Amour & Anorexia! |
It is easy to see that the word "amourexique" is a neologism of the words "amour" and "anorexia". This combination of words suggests the connection that a lack of self-love, of self-esteem, can anchor this disorder within ourselves. Anorexia is used here colloquially as a general term for an eating disorder. Manifest eating disorders occur in around one in five people; it is undisputed that women are affected significantly more often. |
Basically, similar causes apply to all eating disorders: 1. Biological and physical influences, for example a hereditary predisposition or frequent dieting. 2. traumatic experiences that have been felt 3. certain personality traits such as low self-esteem or perfectionism 4. family risk factors, such as disturbed eating behaviour or an eating disorder in relatives 5. Social and traditional influences These factors cannot actually be avoided and in the end the question of guilt does not play a role for the therapy, since healing is only possible from within ourselves. |
The three most common eating disorders in terms of frequency are: 1. binge eating disorder 2. bulimia 3. anorexia Mixed forms, i.e. forms of eating disorders that do not exactly meet the diagnostic criteria of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa or binge-eating disorder, occur at least as frequently as the "pure forms" of the disorder. |
Binge eating disorder The Binge eating disorder is derived from the English term "binge eating", which means excessive, overeating. The binge eating episodes are recurrent. Unlike bulimia, however, they do not usually try to counteract weight gain by measures such as vomiting (purging). |
Bulimia Sufferers of this eating disorder have uncontrollable cravings for food in fits and starts. Afterwards, they often carry out weight-reducing measures. This includes self-induced vomiting (purging). Bulimia mainly occurs in later adolescence and young adulthood. The majority of those affected are female. However, more boys and men probably suffer from the disease than is known. The number of unreported cases is estimated to be high, as they are less likely to seek medical help for mental disorders than women. People who participate in competitive sports also have an increased risk of developing bulimia. This is especially true for sports where a slim figure (ballet, gymnastics, etc.) and or body weight (e.g. martial arts) play a major role. |
Anorexia A typical feature of anorexia is that those affected are often remarkably thin or lose a lot of weight. However, they perceive themselves as bulky and fat. Out of fear of gaining weight, they restrict themselves more and more when eating and therefore continue to lose weight. People with anorexia suffer from the constant fear of gaining weight. Their thoughts constantly revolve around food, their weight and their figure. They are afraid of losing control over it. Common symptoms triggered by anorexia are: Cardiac arrhythmias , circulatory problems , skin changes , osteoporosis, hormonal changes - absence of menstruation and loss of potency. Self-induced vomiting damages teeth and oesophagus. Often there is enlargement of the salivary glands and disturbances in water and salt balance and kidney function. People with anorexia have a more than 5-fold higher risk of dying than their peers without the disorder. An analysis of patient records showed that most people with anorexia had died from health disorders caused by the eating disorder. Every fifth death was a suicide. The death rate for anorexia increases especially when other mental illnesses are present. People with anorexia have an 18-fold higher risk of taking their own lives compared to healthy people. |
Song No. 4
Un Ange Est Tombé
The Song describes a secret "wrong" |
French | English | Spanish | Italian |
Tu vis, tu meurs sur ta page Facebook Tu hurles et pleures, Twitter écoute Mais personne n’est là, tout à côté de toi Un ange est tombé Un ange est tombé Un ange est tombé Un ange est tombé | You live, you die on your Facebook page You scream and cry, Twitter listens But nobody's there, right next to you An angel has fallen An angel has fallen An angel has fallen An angel has fallen | Vives, mueres en tu página de Facebook Gritas y lloras, Twitter escucha Pero nadie está ahí, justo a tu lado Un ángel ha caído Un ángel ha caído Un ángel ha caído Un ángel ha caído | Si vive, si muore sulla propria pagina Facebook Urlate e piangete, Twitter vi ascolta Ma non c'è nessuno, proprio accanto a te Un angelo è caduto Un angelo è caduto Un angelo è caduto Un angelo è caduto |
Tu communiques sur l’autoroute Des êtres brisés en quête d’écoute Une vie sans secret où l’âme est un déchet Un ange est tombé Un ange est tombé | You communicate on the motorway Broken people looking for someone to listen A life without secrets where the soul is waste An angel has fallen An angel has fallen | Te comunicas en la autopista Gente rota en busca de alguien que escuche Una vida sin secretos donde el alma es desecho Un ángel ha caído Un ángel ha caído | Comunicare in autostrada Persone spezzate in cerca di qualcuno che le ascolti Una vita senza segreti dove l'anima è sprecata Un angelo è caduto Un angelo è caduto |
Pars avant qu’il ne soit bien trop tard Jette cet écran sans espoir Et plonge en toi, ouvre les bras Sois celle que tu attends Un ange est tombé Un ange est tombé Un ange est tombé | Go before it's too late Throw away this hopeless screen And dive into yourself, open your arms Be the one you've been waiting for An angel has fallen An angel has fallen An angel has fallen | Vete antes de que sea demasiado tarde Tira esta pantalla sin esperanza Y sumérgete en ti mismo, abre tus brazos Sé el que has estado esperando Un ángel ha caído Un ángel ha caído Un ángel ha caído | Andate prima che sia troppo tardi Getta via questo schermo senza speranza E immergiti in te stesso, apri le braccia Sii quello che stavi aspettando Un angelo è caduto Un angelo è caduto Un angelo è caduto |
Parie sur toi dans cet univers L’antivirus c’est ta lumière Rien contre elle n’osera Aucun doute ne vaincra Un ange est tombé Un ange est tombé | Bet on you in this universe The antivirus is your light Nothing against it will dare No doubt will win An angel has fallen An angel has fallen | Apuesta por ti en este universo El antivirus es tu luz Nada contra él se atreverá Ninguna duda vencerá Un ángel ha caído Un ángel ha caído | Scommettiamo su di voi in questo universo L'antivirus è la vostra luce Nulla oserà contro di esso Nessun dubbio vincerà Un angelo è caduto Un angelo è caduto |
Pars avant qu’il ne soit bien trop tard Jette cet écran sans espoir Et plonge en toi, ouvre les bras Sois celle que tu attends Un ange est tombé Un ange est tombé Un ange est tombé | Go before it's too late Throw away this hopeless screen And dive into yourself, open your arms Be the one you've been waiting for An angel has fallen An angel has fallen An angel has fallen | Vete antes de que sea demasiado tarde Tira esta pantalla sin esperanza Y sumérgete en ti mismo, abre tus brazos Sé el que has estado esperando Un ángel ha caído Un ángel ha caído Un ángel ha caído | Andate prima che sia troppo tardi Getta via questo schermo senza speranza E immergiti in te stesso, apri le braccia Sii quello che stavi aspettando Un angelo è caduto Un angelo è caduto Un angelo è caduto |
| You'll never be alone When the angel leaps towards you An army of beings in this sky Will stretch out their wings Give their voice... |
Pars avant qu’il ne soit bien trop tard Jette cet écran sans espoir Et plonge en toi, ouvre les bras Sois celle que tu attends Un ange est tombé Un ange est tombé Un ange est tombé | Go before it's too late Throw away this hopeless screen And dive into yourself, open your arms Be the one you've been waiting for An angel has fallen An angel has fallen An angel has fallen | Vete antes de que sea demasiado tarde Tira esta pantalla sin esperanza Y sumérgete en ti mismo, abre tus brazos Sé el que has estado esperando Un ángel ha caído Un ángel ha caído Un ángel ha caído | Andate prima che sia troppo tardi Getta via questo schermo senza speranza E immergiti in te stesso, apri le braccia Sii quello che stavi aspettando Un angelo è caduto Un angelo è caduto Un angelo è caduto |
Un être ce soir vient de se trouver | Tonight a being has found itself | Esta noche un ser se ha encontrado | Questa notte un essere si è trovato |
Live Performance Paris 2013 (YT Lara The Ring Fabian) |
Media and internet addiction |
We all know these images: People are standing next to each other at a bus stop and each of them is busy with their own smartphone. It is impossible to imagine today's world without the smartphone and the internet. None of us can escape it: the quick availability of information, the distraction from everyday life, the indirect communication with other people via the net and so much more offers a myriad of advantages and improvements. Something new is being added all the time. Most recently, artificial intelligence or the digital Glasses from Apple, of which no one yet knows exactly how dramatically it will change our everyday lives. Should we be afraid? Are we losing ourselves? |
In the past, every groundbreaking invention had a negative, even frightening side in addition to its positive side. We all know that. Perhaps it is now the speed of development that seems threatening to us. Currently, human knowledge doubles every 10 years and this process is accelerating. Where will we be in 10-20 years? How will our coexistence change? Only 15 years ago, we would have been surprised if all the people at a bus stop only looked at their smartphones. In 10 years, we will no longer be surprised when people gesture with their hands in front of their digital glasses. |
Humans are social beings. Visual communication and physical interaction, friendship and love are like the air we breathe. Will this become a rare and precious commodity when only our texts and emojis or future avatars meet on the net? |
An increasing use of digital media has been observed for years. The moment this use gets so out of hand that one's social life or even professional activity is neglected or completely faded out, one speaks of an addiction. I remember the contact with a person who was addicted to the game World of Warcraft: He spent more than 14 hours a day in this game, only pausing to eat or sleep. Outside the game, he was depressed. He had no professional training and no drive to face normal life. In his virtual world, however, he flourished. He was extremely successful as a clan leader, organised everything for his fellow players, was respected and popular. How do you treat such a person? It seemed impossible to me and I had to think of the film "Don Juan de Marco" with Johnny Depp and Marlon Brando. Here, the young Johnny Depp plays a person who suffers from a schizophrenic psychosis and thinks he is Don Juan. In this role he pleases young women in rows, who voluntarily embark on an adventure with him. His psychiatrist (Marlon Brando) and his wife, a psychologist (Faye Dunnaway) look for a therapy for him, but every time he is under the influence of medication he falls into a depression. The therapists finally decide to forgo the medication and let him live his psychosis. This is, of course, a very romantic and perhaps naïve view of such a disorder. Reality, believe me, does not take so much account of the observer. |
We can and must be aware of the risks of the digital parallel world. It is important to question ourselves again and again about how competently we deal with the possibilities of this world. It is helpful to create spaces of retreat and to always remember one's roots, to cultivate friendships and the family and to keep them together. Social interaction outside the virtual space remains indispensable; it is not for nothing that people who spread a lot of gossip have a high life expectancy, because of social interaction. Whoever thinks that this is unfair, well, it doesn't have to be slander and gossip, niceties have the same effect. In the end, we are all affected equally, including me. When I once again rudely pulled out my smartphone at a party, instead of a kick under the table, I got an anger-emoji sent to my smartphone from my wife. I was grateful to her, it had the same effect, but a kick would certainly have been more painful. |
Song No. 5
Je t'Apelle
The Song describes a secret "wrong" |
French | English | Spanish | Italian |
| We both have here More than a word, more than a turn, More than a few words of love, On the diversions of these days That we have destroyed. But I am only skin, Only mud at the bottom of your bed When your hunt for oblivion Gives birth to my madness, My dull face. |
Je t'appelle, Je t'appelle, Je t'appelle, Je t'appelle, Ma voix sans cesse Te lance des S S O S... | I cry out for you, I cry out for you, I cry out for you, I cry out for you, My voice never stops Hurls S at you S O S... S O S... |
Vivre et bientôt mourir Ne m'était pas apparu Comme évident, cousu, Passer inaperçue Est insurmontable | To live and soon lose Had not occurred to me As if taken for granted, as if sewn up, To go unnoticed Is overwhelming | Vivir y pronto perder No se me había ocurrido Como si se diera por sentado, como si se cosiera, Pasar desapercibido Es abrumador | Vivere e presto perdere non mi era venuto in mente Come se fosse scontato, come se fosse cucito, Passare inosservato è schiacciante |

Shattered love and emotional indifference |
What do you feel when you realise that your partner has become indifferent to you, that his or her love has completely died out, without having noticed it? The shock at this realisation is quickly replaced by desperate helplessness. Of course, such a rejection can trigger a trauma, a trauma that can destroy one internally. The question of guilt is irrelevant, because only one partner alone is never to blame for the break-up of love. |
Let's look at the statistics for a moment and take the divorce rate as an indicator of a broken relationship. Statistically, the divorce rate per country is very diverse and fluctuates over the years. In 2020, the average divorce rate in Europe was 1.7 officially documented separations per 1,000 inhabitants. The most divorced were the inhabitants of the EU members Denmark, Latvia and Lithuania. They have 2.7 separations per 1,000 inhabitants. Married couples in Italy, Malta and Slovenia divorce least often in the EU. Spaniards separate the fastest after saying yes. No country has so many separations within a year of marriage. Outside Europe, divorce rates are higher: 4 separations per 1000 inhabitants in the USA and even 5 separations per 1000 inhabitants in Russia. Neglect of a partner, living apart and infidelity are the main reasons for divorces. Of course, there are other factors. |
The statistics show and the lyrics of the song suggest: the speechlessness and lack of communication during a relationship is a relevant factor for the break-up of the same. However, this often begins before a relationship. Do both of them talk to each other at all or only about others about whom they agree? Are they really interested in each other or just pretending to be? Is there real empathy, does one take time and listen? My grandmother used to say: "Test the commitment of those who commit themselves forever". Nevertheless, there is no 100% certainty that you have found the right partner for life if you take this advice to heart. So what about love at first sight? What about the people who immediately throw themselves into the adventure of love without checking it 100%, simply because you are sure? Well, that exists too and I'm glad I dared to do it against my grandmother's advice. ! |

French | English | Spanish | Italian |
C'est tout cassé tout déchiré Un petit bout de moi vient de se detacher Un être est passé Comme une étincelle c'est infiltrée Empoisonné, prise dans ses chaires Je me cache en silence entre deux vielles prières Ramassant les heures qu'il a jeté de son trou le coeur Quelle est la peine qui nous unit Qui fait que l'on aime une bequille Une chaine une chaine Deboussouler Tous envivré et d'amour et d'amour exangué torturé Je vais me lancé dans d'autre bras qui ne me veulent pas Le temps de recouvrer la mémoire Du temps ou je n'etais pas dérisoire D'etre remplis de rêves immenses Aec lesquels je danse avant de m'éveiller de m'éveiller C'est plus cassé J'ai réparé Je me souviens Qu'il est l'heure de tout oublier Un etre est passé Une autre paire mais pardonné Mirage Mirage Mirage | Everything's shattered torn apart A little piece of me just broke away A human being just passed by A spark infiltrated Poisoned, trapped in these fleshes I'm silently hiding between two old prayers picking up the hours that he threw out of his unsettled heart What is this pain that brings us together? that makes us love a crutch? a chain, a chain disoriented, getting intoxicated, in love with exhausted and tortured loves, i will throw myself in other arms that don't want of me for as long as it takes to recover the memory of the time when i wasn't ridiculous, full of infinite dreams that i dance with before waking up, waking up its not shattered, i fixed it, i remember that it's time to forget everything a human being just passed by, another dream is forgiven Mirage Mirage Mirage | Todo está destrozado Un pedacito de mí acaba de romperse Un ser humano acaba de pasar Una chispa infiltrada Envenenada, atrapada en estas carnes Me escondo en silencio entre dos viejas oraciones Recogiendo las horas que tiró de su corazón inquieto ¿Qué es este dolor que nos une? que nos hace amar una muleta? una cadena, una cadena desorientado embriagándose, enamorado de amores agotados y torturados, me arrojaré en otros brazos que no quieren de mí por el tiempo que sea necesario para recuperar la memoria del tiempo en que no fui ridículo llena de sueños infinitos que bailo antes de despertar, al despertar no esta destrozado, lo he arreglado, recuerdo que es hora de olvidarlo todo un ser humano acaba de pasar otro sueño es perdonado Mirage Mirage Mirage | Tutto è andato in frantumi Un piccolo pezzo di me si è appena staccato Un essere umano è passato di lì Una scintilla si è infiltrata Avvelenata, intrappolata in queste carni Mi sto nascondendo in silenzio tra due vecchie preghiere raccogliendo le ore che ha buttato fuori dal suo cuore inquieto Cos'è questo dolore che ci unisce? che ci rende l'amore una stampella? una catena, una catena disorientati, che si intossica, che si innamora di amori esausti e torturati, mi getterò in altre braccia che non vogliono me per tutto il tempo necessario a recuperare la memoria del tempo in cui non ero ridicolo, pieno di sogni infiniti con cui danzo prima di svegliarmi, il risveglio non è andato in frantumi, l'ho riparato, mi ricordo che è ora di dimenticare tutto. un essere umano è appena passato, un altro sogno è perdonato Miraggio Miraggio Miraggio |
Mirage / Heartbreak and Self-Deception |
The partner is gone, the pain is there: a world collapses, our emotions spiral out of control, we feel alone and lost. We feel the pain, but we tell ourselves to heal quickly and overlook the change in ourselves, the poison and loss that such an event can cause. So we repeat ourselves over and over again and end up deceiving ourselves. |
Acute lovesickness can also be felt physically and is even a recognised illness. Its official name is "Morbus amoritalis". Especially in the first weeks after the break-up, physical complaints can occur. Loss of appetite, restlessness and difficulty concentrating are still the more harmless symptoms. In the worst case, there is even the threat of broken heart syndrome: then classic heart attack symptoms such as severe chest and heart pain or shortness of breath are possible. No wonder, then, that anyone suffering from lovesickness wants to end this condition as soon as possible. |
There is no panacea for a broken heart. But there are strategies that can ease the pain - such as a transitional relationship. This is frowned upon - if you have a new partner right away, you are often accused of not having properly ended the old relationship. But perhaps this quick change is not such a bad thing. At least for the newly separated, as an American study shows. In the study, social psychologists investigated whether and how quickly people bonded with a new partner after a relationship ended. And they also documented how they fared in the process. The results are astonishing - and thought-provoking: the study participants were happier and more self-confident with and through their new relationships than those who remained single for the time being. The researchers attribute this to the fact that it brings some advantages for the newly separated to look for a new lover right away: With a new love, it is easier to forget the old one. Memories fade in the face of new experiences, self-esteem is rebuilt, negative emotions are drowned out. This has an overall positive effect on well-being. |
So a transitional relationship may not be the worst choice and a transitional partner may prove to be a saviour in need. Sometimes, however, this new partner has a thankless role and may hold the worst cards for lasting happiness in love, especially if the motives for the new relationship are not passionate feelings and erotic attraction, but other motives such as fear of being alone, grief and anger after the break-up of the previous relationship. |
Song No. 7
Que j'étais belle
The Song describes a secret "wrong" |
French | English | Spanish | Italian |
Illusion ou déraison Faites vos jeux, j'ai fait | With a small step I leave my pleasures Of this double drawer Hidden by me Some secrets Beautiful and less beautiful stories I was the rebel fire I was beautiful when I loved Where did I go? Delusion or lack of reason Place your bets, I have | Con un pequeño paso dejo mis placeres De este doble cajón Escondidos por mí Algunos secretos Historias bellas y menos bellas Yo era el fuego rebelde Yo era hermosa cuando amaba ¿A dónde fui?
Je me revois, blessée parfois Pire, oui bien pire que ça Trahie, traquée par ce faux moi Hypnotisée sans foi Entre celle qui s'ensorcelle Et celle qui traîne ses pauvres ailes J'ai choisi le froid Illusion ou déraison Plus de braise pour moi | I see myself, sometimes hurt Worse, so much worse than that Betrayed and hunted by the fake 'me' Hypnotized without faith Between one that bewitches And one that drags his poor wings I have chosen the cold Delusion or madness More coals for me | Me veo, a veces herido Peor, mucho peor que eso Traicionado y perseguido por el falso "yo Hipnotizado sin fe Entre uno que hechiza Y uno que arrastra sus pobres alas He elegido el frío El engaño o locura Más brasas para mí | Vedo me stesso, a volte ferito Peggio, molto peggio di così Tradito e braccato dal falso "io". Ipnotizzato senza fede Tra uno che ammalia e uno che trascina le sue povere ali Ho scelto il freddo L'illusione o follia Più carboni per me |
Pourtant là dans ce tiroir Brillent tous les soirs d'antan Où l'ère de l'air insufflait Les vœux plus ardents Où j'étais sur du vent Non du mauvais temps | Yet here in this drawer Shining for all the evenings of yesteryear Where the age of the air breathed The most passionate wishes Where I was on the wind Not on bad weather | Sin embargo, aquí en este cajón Brillando por todas las tardes de antaño Donde la edad del aire respiraba Los deseos más apasionados Donde estaba en el viento No en el mal tiempo | Eppure qui, in questo cassetto che risplende per tutte le sere di un tempo Dove l'età dell'aria respirava I desideri più appassionati Dove ero sul vento Non sul cattivo tempo |
Delusion or Madness / pathological Self-Criticism |
At some point after the trauma, we notice that something is wrong, that we are changing. We begin to suffer. The suffering grows stronger and expands, it becomes a torment. We project it onto ourselves, devalue ourselves. To save ourselves, we compare it with the past, delude ourselves that everything was better then, exaggerate our former selves and ignore the fact that everything actually started back then. |
Delusion: Even society knows this phenomenon: it's called nostalgia. Everything was better in the past! Who doesn't know this sentence. But things often seem different in our memories than in reality. Because even in the past, there were ill-bred children and reckless youths. The fact that we perceive the past as the "good old days" is due to a distorted perception. Our brain stores the good memories that we want to think back on. Negative impressions, on the other hand, we often forget over time, so that we remember earlier periods of life much more positively than they actually happened. For example, after decades we often still like to remember our school days, even though we should actually know better, since you too surely cursed one or two school days as a child. And even the earlier politics seem less chaotic or crisis-ridden to us in retrospect. Yet the positive view of the past is deceptive, because people are better off today than ever before: the crime rate has been declining for years and other factors have also steadily improved over the past decades. |
Madness: The other side of the coin is a hypercritical view of ourselves. Psychologically, we speak of pathological self-criticism, which must be distinguished from healthy self-criticism. Both forms are the opposite of narcissism. In pathological self-criticism, the inner voice is not a helpful companion. Those affected often suffer from despondency and/or value other people's criticism far too highly. They cannot accept praise and positive criticism, but only hear the negative criticism. In the worst case, a so-called imposter syndrome can develop. These people suffer from extreme self-doubt - with the result that they cannot recognise their own achievements, even if they were actually really good. They feel that they are basically just bluffing and are completely unjustified in the position they have in the job. |
Studies show that women suffer more often from their inner critic. In a german study, more than 1000 employees from very different sectors were interviewed. The result: women tend to be too self-critical of their own performance. Of course, men also show self-criticism, but the behaviour is more pronounced in women - which also means that the negative effects of self-criticism are more likely to show up in women than in men. On average, women therefore evaluate their performance worse than their environment does. Within the framework of the study, it also became clear that women and men differ from each other with regard to the areas they rate too self-critically. Women attribute poor performance to themselves especially in areas that require strategic action. As a result, the women in the study rated their negotiation and conversation skills significantly lower than others did. Their self-perception was thus significantly worse than the perception of others, especially in these areas. Men, on the other hand, tended to misjudge themselves in communicative areas. However, this form of misperception shows an interesting difference to women: Whereas women assess certain competences significantly worse than they actually are, men tend to assess themselves too positively. In the study, men rated their empathy and service orientation much better than the people around them did. |
Thus, the famous quote by Paracelsus also applies to self-criticism: "All things are poison and nothing is without poison; the dose alone makes a thing not a poison". Well-dosed self-criticism is an important companion in our daily lives. But if it gets out of hand, it can paralyse us. |

Explanation of the term Kalpataru |
Kalpataru (कल्पतरु): Term from Indian Sanskrit. In Hinduism, Kalpataru (alternatively Kalpavriksha) is considered the mythological, wish-fulfilling divine tree that is said to fulfil all wishes. It is the symbol of one's own identity and potential and is the highest power emanating from spiritual waves and vibrations. Indra took the tree to his paradise, where it grows on top of the world mountain Mahameru in the middle garden of Indra's five gardens. It has golden roots, a silver trunk, branches of lapis lazuli, diamond fruits and pearl-like flowers. At the top of Mahameru, the World Tree reaches vertically from the underworld to the sky, where the gods dwell and where the birds that perch in the tops of the tree fly. The birds in the tree represent a fertility symbol. It stands for the periodic renewal of life. |

Origin of the term Gwenved |
The term Gwenved comes from the Breton and thus Celtic language family. Alternatively, the term Gwynfyd is also used. The term refers to Celtic mythology and its reinterpretation, beginning in the 17th century. The movement behind this reinterpretation is also called neo-Druidism. These Neo-Druidic orders were strongly influenced by Enlightenment content. Influenced by the ideas of the Unitarians and universalism, they combined Christian, Masonic and Celtic ideas into a kind of pantheistic nature religion. The core element of the teaching is the journey through three circles of being, Abred ("evolution"), Gwenved ("purity") and Ceugant ("infinity"). This gave rise to a form of reincarnation teaching based on the traditional knowledge of the Druids and Pythagorean philosophy. Occasionally, thought processes from Hinduism and Buddhism also flowed into neo-Druidism. Translated, Gwenved means: the white world. In a spiritual sense, it means the circle of happiness and abundance, which serves to overcome the cycle of incarnations. |
Unfortunately, I have not been able to find out what the words "AUN TSKUN EIWA AED TSAHILI" mean. I assume that they are also words from the Celtic language family. |
From a psychological perspective: Recognising the Inner Self has nothing to do with making a diagnosis or recognising a victim status for oneself, by others or oneself. Especially in the current social development, influenced by woke ideologies, the victim status is particularly emphasised. Recognition as a victim is currently considered desirable. Yet it is precisely this recognition of victim status that prevents us from recognising and healing ourselves. On the contrary, it reinforces our dependence on the "secret" wrong. |
Song No. 17
I am A-WA
The song describes the elemental forces behind the process of self-knowledge and the healing reincarnation. |
English | French | Spanish | Italian |
Enter the space in the dark, Search for your own spark, Enter this place of your whole undivided and one. Don't pray for love and love yourself, Don't kill your pain make it your strength, Hear your wisdom Calling within Holding your every desire, Playing with your mourning heart, Feel all and nothing. Nothing is life, Inside this vacuity: your throne, Your kingdom will be ruthless.
Most of your dreams will be shattered by a curse, Your crimes will deny how splendid you are, You will be human, I'm here no fear, I'm here no fear. |

Live Performance 2013 (YT Lara The Ring Fabian) | Official Video - Studio Recording (YT Lara Fabian Multimedia) |
Well - everyone wonders what A-WA actually means. Here is the translated description from the "Edition Collector" of "Le Secret"! |
In Onsei-Do (the Way of Sound, according to the ancient Kotatama principle), A-WA is the light of the soul used by the Source (U) to create all things. A-WA is the soul word that sets the tone of the atomic symphony that creates our universe, the Big Bang known to scientists. The echo of this primordial sound was recorded in 2001 and reverberates through the universe 14 billion years later. WA is the resonance of this primordial A in matter. A-WA is the dimension of unconditional and indivisible love that manifests as an individual to experience itself as a whole. A-WA is the light of the source, the love song of life itself, the inner power that invites every being to find its true nature, the memory of our divine nature. |
Explanations about Onsei-Do |
Onsei-Do is a sound and singing practice based on the millennia-old Japanese tradition of Kototama. It is used in body awareness therapy. Here, vowels (the maternal sounds) and consonants (the paternal rhythms) are sung in a specific way, individually or in their combinations. These sounds are called "soul sounds" and carry the vibrations of any spoken language. The different sound sequences and chants have different qualities and are experienced as uplifting, powerful, soothing or balancing. Body-oriented perception exercises and accompanying movement sequences deepen and expand the experience of sound. Regular practice of Onsei-Do has a centring effect. The aim is to perceive and recognise one's own body. This should lead to more calmness in the emotional experience and in the mental processes. Movement therapies follow similar principles, which are also about vibrations, but this time about vibrations of movements. For example, in the treatment of Parkinson's disease, mainly high-amplitude movements are practised in order to counteract the reduced mobility caused by the disease. Since Parkinson's disease also leads to a reduction in speech speed and volume, it would be interesting to find out whether Onsei Do could also have a positive effect on Parkinson's disease in this respect. However, I myself have not yet come across this therapy for Parkinson's disease. |
Explanations to the Kototama |
In traditional Shintoism, there is a system of cosmology and mysticism called Kototama, which describes the universe starting from sounds and vibrations. Kototama can be roughly translated as the "soul of words" or the "spirit of words". It is a system of vowels, consonants and their combinations, in which each sound has a content and an underlying meaning. When the sounds are combined and pronounced, these underlying forces are at work. They carry a special meaning and have an effect on the one who pronounces them. So in Kototama, as a form of meditation or as a purification ceremony, these sounds placed in their context are practised. They are recited, like a prayer or mantra, the Indian form of sound meditation. But even in everyday speech, as the principles of Kototama would have it, these powers are effective. The system is very old and has developed to an almost unmanageable complexity. Moreover, there are different schools of thought, but the underlying principles are the same. Kototama draws his cosmology from the Japanese religious documents of the eighth century. The long names of the gods and their adventures are, in Kototama's perspective, keys to how the world came into being and the laws that govern it - both for humans and gods. It is possible that the thought processes in the Kototama come from the tantric Sphota-Vada, which was introduced to Japan in the 9th century by the Buddhist priest Kukai. He formed the Buddhist movement "Shingon", Word of Truth, which still exists. The word Shingon is the same as in Indian Sanskrit mantra, sacred words that by their utterance bring clarity to a person and lead him to a higher state. The most famous mantra is OM, the universal, written with a symbol containing the letters A, U, M. If one meditates with the mantra OM, the sound is said to rise from the lower part of the abdomen up into the head as it glides from O to M. A classic Hindu phrase is Om mani padme hum: "Om, the jewel, has revealed itself in the world." This way of looking at things is very close to the Kototama. |
Myth of origins |
In the Japanese religious document "Kijiki", The Chronicle of Early Things, from the 8th century, it is reported how the sun goddess Amaterasu once ran away out of anger at the cruelties of the world and hid in a grotto. The world was in darkness and the other gods did not know how to bring the light back into it. They gathered at the entrance of the grotto and asked Amaterasu to have mercy on the world and return, but she would not relent. Then they had the idea of tempting her with a mirror, and Amaterasu became so curious about her own reflection that she finally came out of the grotto to look at herself. The light had returned to the world. This legend is probably the central statement of the religious legends in Japan, which calls itself "The Empire of the Sun". And there is great symbolism in the encounter of the goddess with her reflection. Kototama sees the universe as having two sides: that which is and its expression: object and subject. That which is has no limitations, but neither does it have substance before it becomes noticeable, before it reflects itself and becomes aware of itself. In the same way, every human being learns to know himself only when he becomes aware of his body, his actions, his thoughts and feelings. It is our consciousness that makes our being apparent, that makes us real, so to speak. Kototama explains the creation of the whole universe in these terms. At first there was only chaos, the great darkness, which could not be heard, could not be experienced. When light was suddenly ignited, its reflection was born at the same moment - the perception of light. What would the light be if no eye saw it? Kototama describes this process with sounds, the original dark chaos being U, which corresponds to the god of Shintoism Ameno-Minaka-Nusi. The observer is the sound A, the god Takami-Musubi, and the thing observed is the sound WA, the god Kami-Musubi. |
Parallels |
Similar mystical philosophical systems exist in other religions, such as Buddhism and Hinduism, or in the Kabbalah of Judaism. In Christianity, similar thoughts shimmer through, for example in the first lines of the Gospel of John: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and God was the Word." Similar approaches can also be found in fantastic literature. For example, in the chronicles of Lord of the Rings (the Silmarilion), the creation of the world by the Maiar is described as a repeated chant in the sense of a symphonic whole that not only shapes the world but also determines the fate of it. Chant, songs and sounds are assigned great significance. Beings who master these are of great power, such as the elf Luthien Thinuviel (a central figure in Silmarilion), who renounces her innate immortality for her love of a mortal man. So here, too, love and song find each other again. |
Summary view |
It is obvious that sounds and vibrations are linked to the laws and forces of the universe. They are nothing other than wave movements. So is light - albeit significantly faster. Even atoms consist of particle movements and the whole cosmos is permeated by various types of radiation of different frequencies. Thus everything in our cosmos is characterised by periodic oscillation. |
On 14 September 2015, the LIGO (Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory) observed for the first time gravitational waves originating from the merger of two black holes with 30 times the mass of our sun. The observation was a scientific sensation and meant definitive proof of Einstein's theory of relativity. The incredibly powerful event, which released 50 times more energy than all the stars in the observable universe, lasted only fractions of a second. Using modern computer technology, the gravitational waves could be converted into sound waves audible to humans. |
In the first two runs of the animation, the sound-wave frequencies exactly match the frequencies of the gravitational waves. The second two runs of the animation play the sounds again at higher frequencies that better fit the human hearing range. The animation ends by playing the original frequencies again twice. As the black holes spiral closer and closer in together, the frequency of the gravitational waves increases. Scientists call these sounds "chirps," because some events that generate gravitation waves would sound like a bird's chirp. So in the wave frequency view of the merger of the two black holes, there is initially a lower frequency that increases during the merger and then slows down again. |
Of course, this sound is not comparable to the voice of Lara Fabian , yet it underlines the relevance of the Kototama's statement. Furthermore, the example shows that when two or more bodies interact, waves or frequencies change. What is exciting in this regard is that the frequency noise at the beginning of the fusion of the two black holes is reminiscent of the heartbeat at the beginning of the song "Le Secret", but also of the heartbeat at the end of the song "I am A-WA", the frequency of which, however, is slower as a sign of a change, or metamorphosis, that has taken place. And the "chirp" when the black holes merge could correspond to the "chirp" of the birds in the Kalpataru tree, the sign of the periodic renewal of life. "Haha, that's far-fetched!", some of you might be thinking. But who knows? |
