The poster lists ‘The Best of World Tour’, so it seems this is a continuation of the concert series that seemed to have ended in December; clearly Lara had other countries in mind. It comes as a bit of a surprise, since those first shows were promoted as necessary replacements for ones that had been cancelled due to the pandemic, but Lara seems to be taking the 'World Tour' aspect of the title seriously. It would therefore seem that other areas of the world might also, ultimately, be on the agenda.
With respect to her concerts in Kazakhstan: ‘Petra J-r’ had the following comment to last week’s Update: “Unfortunately there won't be a duet with Dimash since he has a solo concert in Kuala Lumpur June 24th 😔. We loved their collab for the Igor Krutoy jubilée concert, Ti Amo Cosi. We also love that Lara wrote the lyrics for Your Love by Igor and sung by Dimash Qudaibergen. Dimash adores Lara and we still hope for an opportunity for them to sing together in the future.”
And concerning her concert in Tashkent: It was noted in a comment on Lara’s FB page by Thierry Veran, that LGBTQIA people are still suffering discrimination and incarceration in that country. In fact, Lara cancelled a concert in that city back in 2013; as stated in an article at (https://www.rferl.org/a/lara-fabian-uzbekistan/25147059.html#:~:text=Belgian%2DItalian%20singer%20Lara%20Fabian,grave%20rights%20abuses%2C%20including%20torture.), which had this to say:
“In a message on the social-networking website Facebook on October 24, Fabian said that she was shocked to discover that she was being used as a "shop window" for the Uzbek regime, which is accused of grave rights abuses, including torture. Fabian added that she canceled the concert after discovering the cultural festival in Tashkent was organized by Gulnara Karimova, the eldest daughter of Uzbekistan's authoritarian ruler Islam Karimov. Fabian said that she will never support regimes that flout basic human rights.”
It doesn’t seem, from the articles posted on her FB site, that much has changed. Lara has always had that choice: to shy away from countries with less-than-perfect human rights conditions, especially when it comes to gender/sexual preference inequalities, or to engage with the populace so as to try and alter opinions (as well as entertain her loyal fans). In that same reference cited above, it quotes Lara as saying, “There is a difference between performing in authoritarian countries and participating in events directly controlled by rights abusers.” Karimova started the festival in 2006. Perhaps that’s why this event is acceptable in her eyes.
We now have more information concerning the new variety show on TF1, on which Lara will be participating. In an article in Voici (https://www.voici.fr/tele/m-pokora-lara-fabian-black-m-ils-deviennent-coachs-pour-une-nouvelle-emission-de-tf1-754742), there is the following:
----------------------------
M. Pokora, Lara Fabian, Black M… They become coaches for a new TF1 show
Tuesday April 18, 2023, in a press release, TF1 announced the future launch of "Dream Team: the succession of stars". A new show with children, in which six personalities will occupy the role of coach.
For eight seasons, the show The Voice Kids has been a hit on the first channel. Last year, Julien Doré and Louane entered the program aimed at discovering (very) young talents. If they had convinced the viewers, they both decided to leave their place as coaches! Thus, in the ninth edition of the reality show, Nolwenn Leroy and Slimane will land alongside Patrick Fiori and Kendji Girac . As in the adult version of the show, they will give everything to carry their team members to victory. For the moment, TF1 has not given a broadcast date for this new season.. But this April 18, it announced some news that should delight those who enjoy competitions with children.
Indeed, the first channel is preparing to launch a new musical program dedicated to the youngest. Its name: Dream Team: the succession of stars. "A unique and exceptional talent show in which six French artists and their teams of young singers will compete," said TF1 in a press release.
Discover the six Dream Team coaches
This new format will be hosted by Hélène Mannarino. The six artists who will occupy the role of coach will be M. Pokora, Jenifer, Camille Lellouche, Lara Fabian, Claudio Capéo and Black M. Singers and singers who all have a connection with the show The Voice. Indeed, some were coaches (Black M was in the Belgian version of the program), and others were revealed by the program presented by Nikos Aliagas.
Each of these artists will lead a team of five children. Aged 8 to 14, they share "the same musical and artistic universe and are the next generation of mentors". "At each of the stages during which the teams will deliver breathtaking performances, a panel of professionals as well as the public present will arbitrate the competition. Vocal performance, stage performance, team cohesion, everything will count! And, in the end, only one team and its Mentor will be declared the winner!”, specified TF1. Again, no release date has been announced. But between the next season of The Voice Kids, the Rugby World Cup and the Star Academy, the schedule promises to be tight!
-------------------------------
As to the last comment: The Voice Kids goes from about mid-August to mid-October. The Rugby World Cup is from Sept 8 to Oct. 28. The Star Academy will be in the Fall. If this new show is to be held this year, which seems to be the case, the available free time would seem to be before or during the summer. The summer is problematic, as the country basically shuts down during that season, and so viewership is minimized (nobody wants to release media events after the beginning of June). So ‘sooner rather than later’ would seem to be the likely start date.
Numerous other articles exist about this show, and according to TF1, they will be ‘fans of the artist’ who leads their team. Teaching kids this young will be another new experience for her…
In other news, Lara was performing live in the country of Georgia Sunday night, at the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre. Lara the Ring Fabian provided the full show (noting that “Full credit goes to Mamuka Lomidze for the AMAZING footage”), available at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONrH49KSFxA
and Mamuka Lomidze posted it as well (same video) at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mbbI3fPq5A
Lara was in wonderful voice! There was no advanced information about this concert, but it was in that beautiful big concert hall, had an orchestra behind her and Giora Linenberg on the piano. Since it wasn’t (publicly) advertised, it seems to be part of a series of private concerts for a select audience, as was the case last week in Almity, Kazakhstan, although now on a larger scale.
In fact, the concert was in memory of the father of a young woman (Nadia); her father had recently died, and she joined Lara on stage to sing a duet of ‘Je t’aime’ at the end of the show. While her voice wasn’t perfect, it gave her a chance to express her emotions towards her father. A nice touch was the inclusion in the setlist of ‘Immortelle’, ‘Les feuilles mortes’ (Autumn Leaves) and ‘Je me souviens’, all of which one could relate to his passing. Lara personally dedicated ‘Pas sans toi’ to Nadia. In addition to the video shown here, it appears from the swinging camera that it was recorded on video professionally.

Lara Fabian: in an asymmetrical low-cut dress, she reveals her long legs on the poster for her tour
Lara Fabian continues her world tour via Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. To this end, the singer posted on her Instagram account the poster of the announcement of her concerts and her very revealing outfit caught our eye.
After touring France in the fall of 2022, Lara Fabian is taking her best-of tour to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. J’y crois encore, Je t’aime, Je suis malade... Her set-list is filled with her most remarkable hits which, year after year, continue to thrill her audience. On an updated concert poster for her three dates in June 2023 in Central Asia, the singer is more radiant than ever in a total black look worthy of an opera singer. Focus on an outfit that changes her from her everyday appearances.
Lara Fabian dares the open skirt up to the top of the thighs
When she is not on stage, Lara Fabian likes cozy but elegant looks with pretty knits, comfortable skirts and casual jeans that she wears with a pair of sneakers. But as soon as she goes on stage, the diva is transformed. Her strong point? A pair of toned and long legs that she likes to show off with very short dresses, as we saw on many occasions when she was director of the Star Académie québécoise.
For the poster of her tour, Lara Fabian pulls the cover back. This time, no cute little trapeze dress, she goes all out! Her outfit resembles a dress consisting of a shirt crossed at the top and a skirt with ruffles. The shirt is open to reveal a plunging neckline, magnified by what appears to be a lingerie body slipped underneath. The sleeves are rolled up for a casual effect that contrasts completely with the bottom of the outfit.
Because the element that intrigues us is obviously the asymmetrical petticoat! Ultra short in front, very long in the back, it draws like a train and recalls flamenco skirts. Each voile panel adds a play of texture and sheerness that highlights Lara Fabian's athletic legs. Molded in a pair of black tights that elongate her silhouette, they are also enhanced by a pair of heeled sandals laced up to mid-calf. If we still wondered about wearing tights with sandals, the singer answered it in one shot!
----------------------------------
Ironic, that Lara's legs are noted as her strong point, as this was one feature that for so long she was hesitant to reveal, after an unpleasant early childhood critique.
Lara’s professional life has certainly taken a big upswing in the past few weeks, with her returning to performing (both in private events, and, in the near future, for the general public), as well as the upcoming TV show. It is interesting that all of this is happening outside Quebec, where she presumably still has to find/build a new home. Given the powerful and beautiful sound of her voice, and her appearance on stage, she seems to be in a very good state.
