There were two highlights this past week. One was Lara’s appearance on the Star Academy final, singing Je t’aime with Lea. Before that, Lara had additional interactions with the show, first providing a master class she refers to in an Instagram post, at
stating “Happy to have shared this master class with the Academic Stars and offered them some keys to prepare for their final on Saturday night...
See you tomorrow at 5:30 pm for the daily and Saturday at 9:50 pm for the live on @staracademytf1 @tf1
Then a clip from the ‘daily’, visiting the students and offering encouragement, at
and then on the evening of the show, with the following
and comment, “Ready to hit the studios for the @staracademytf1 finale... going live tonight at 9:50pm, to perform "Je t'aime" duet with @leaa.hdd ✨
Thank you @tods for this beautiful bag... « Love » “
The video of her duet with Lea can be found at various links,

or

or

The performance generated a debate over ‘who sang better’ (e.g., www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4q_F1Hs2gQ), but as noted in the following video, Lara lowered the level of the song and limited somewhat the time she sang in order to allow Lea to shine
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgSD1qToXfM). This was in contrast to Nolwenn Leroy who ‘took over’ for Enola and eclipsed her during their duet. The difference between how the two professional singers acted was widely discussed on the Internet.
The duets took place in the early part of the show; ultimately, they did not decide the issue, for Enola progressed to the 'final' of the finals, while Lea did not. [Lea, who has a strong personality, had picked up a lot of baggage with some explicit points of view during the course of the show, and she had widely predicted she would not be chosen by the public].
A rundown of the show’s proceedings can be found at (https://time.news/anisha-winner-2022-the-highlights-of-the-final/); here are some of the highlights:
------------------------------
Anisha winner 2022, the highlights of the final
STAR ACADEMY 2022. During the Star Academy final, Anisha was named the big winner of this season 10. The public finally chose her against Enola, after having first eliminated Léa and Louis. Recap below.
The grand finale of Star Academy 2022 was broadcast this Saturday, November 26 on TF1the winner of the season was chosen by the public.
Anisha wins Star Academy Season leaving Enola, Léa and Louis at the gates of victory.
Anisha wins a contract to record an album with the Sony Music Entertainment France record company as well as a check for 100,000 euros. She received 57% of the public vote against 43% for Enola.
Star Academy winner Anisha's first words
After the Star Academy final on Saturday November 26, Anisha, who won the competition, told the TF1 teams: "I discovered myself here (...) I learned a lot about me, whether personally or artistically." In just six weeks, the young woman has managed to assert herself and gain self-confidence. Regarding her future, the singer has decided to let herself be carried away: "Since the beginning of the adventure, I have jumped off the cliffs, I discover every day." The former candidate already regrets leaving the other students of the castle.
“I feel very happy,” says Star Academy finalist Enola
Until the end, she will have believed in it. Enola was among the final two finalists for Star Academy, however, facing Anisha, she garnered only 47% of the public vote. Asked by TF1, after the final, Saturday November 26, the singer confided: "I feel very happy to have made this adventure. I am very happy that Anisha won." Taking stock of her adventure, she said: "I did not expect to gain so much self-knowledge." The other candidates of the castle will miss her. Among her performances, Enola was marked by her duet with Patrick Bruel: "It was a moment that I really liked. I was thinking about the words and then the audience sang," she recalls.
"It's not because I lost that I'm going to deconstruct", assures Louis, finalist of the Star Academy
Léa and Louis, Star Academy finalists, were eliminated at the gates of the super-final on Saturday November 26, Enola and Anisha having collected more votes from the public. "I feel great, I'm happy to go on Lea's arm," said Louis, interviewed by TF1 after the results. The singer is happy with his evolution throughout the competition. "We really realize how lucky we were to have all these classes and to be able to progress in such a short time, it's really a gift that we have been given," he said. Despite his defeat, the young man remains confident: "My dream has always been to make music, it's not because I lost that I'm going to dismantle myself." He plans to get to work right after Star Academy.
Léa's best memory at Star Academy? Her duet with Lara Fabian
Star Academy finalist, the bubbly Léa returned to her journey on the TF1 microphone show, Saturday November 26, after the final. “It changed my life, in terms of personal development, artistic development, I am another person,” she noted. The former candidate is happy with her career: "I don't regret anything at all, I liked it until the last minute." During the final, she sang the mythical hit Je t'aime with Lara Fabian. For Léa, this is her best memory of the adventure: "I feel that I outdid myself, in addition, in front of my parents, they all came."
And one last item:
President of Madagascar congratulates Anisha on winning Star Academy
On his Facebook account, the President of Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina, congratulated Anisha on her victory at Star Academy. In a message posted on Sunday, November 27, he wrote: "With faith, nothing is impossible to achieve your dream and chart your destiny. That's what Anisha proved today by winning this Star Academy 2022 victory.” The president praised the talent of the singer. "All Malagasy people in Madagascar, and also abroad, rallied wholeheartedly to support our candidate with great pride [...] Thank you to all those who believe in her. Thank you for your support", he concluded. By midday, his post had nearly 30,000 likes, a sign of the enthusiasm generated by Anisha.

The article also mentioned the following:
“Star Academy fans satisfied with this season
At the end of this final of the Star Academy, the fans of the program did not fail to express their opinion. With a touch of sadness because it is the last show, many Internet users seem generally satisfied with this season of the cult program, back on the screens after years of absence. Furthermore, Nikos Aliagas has announced a new season for 2023!”
One wonders whether Lara would have any interest in it, as she seemed quite happy to be interacting with the program this past week. It’s unlikely there will be a tour that will get in the way; but what would have an impact is the time Lara would have to stay in France, while Lou, in Quebec, is not yet old enough to graduate and go away to college. One would think it would be on her mind, however.
In that regard, there is the following article from the Huffington Post (thanks to the Lara Fabian est ton autre FB site for the link )(https://www.huffingtonpost.fr/divertissement/article/le-passage-de-lara-fabian-dans-la-star-academy-n-a-laisse-personne-indifferent_210694.html?utm_term=Autofeed&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook&fbclid=IwAR0HmoJFIDmhpuhx1XBTBMgnE7k9SADjPE3Qtd5JkXLQEZglIVBE4wkirvQ#Echobox=1669307930):

The passage of Lara Fabian in the "Star Academy" left no one indifferent
Lara Fabian gave a masterclass to the “Star Academy” finalists. And Internet users already want to see her again as a teacher for next season.
STAR ACADEMY - They love it. This Thursday, November 24, the Academicians received a visit they did not expect. Anisha, Enola, Léa and Louis took part in a masterclass with Lara Fabian. The most assiduous fans of the “Star Academy” have already been able to see it live on MyTF1 Max.
The Belgian-Canadian singer explains that she came "to offer them some keys to prepare for their final on Saturday evening" on her Instagram account . “I had a magical moment with the academicians,” she says.
Students speechless against Lara Fabian
When the Star Academy finalists saw the one who was also a coach for “The Voice” in France in the singing room, they could not hide their emotion. Enola even shed a few tears.
For Internet users there is no doubt: given the many tips that she was able to transmit in a very short time to the students, Lara Fabian must be a teacher for next season.
They made it known on social media, as you can see below :
**Have a Lara Fabian in your life, she's incredible, look at Léa, I don't believe it
** But she is too strong she manages to find the problem that they had the RESPIRATION!!! Look the difference with Anisha!
** I have been wondering for a long time why Adeline does not mention the verticality of sound in her classes as well as vocal placement, the usefulness of resonators at the level of the mask, etc. Thank you Lara!!
** Lara Fabian is clearly the best intervention of the last 6 weeks! She knows how to perceive the needs of each of the finalists and she has such kind words!! I like it
** I want Lara Fabian as a teacher please, or as a godmother or what, but I want to see her again. she is so benevolent and so fair in her terms
On the other hand, this risks getting stuck since the interpreter of “Je t’aime” is the counterpart of Michaël Goldman in Quebec for the “Star Académie”. We will have to be content to see her on the bonus of the French final, this Saturday, November 26.
----------------------------------
Well, we don’t know whether the Star Academie will be back in 2024 in Quebec, as the La Voix has just returned for the 2023 season, so that conflict may not exist. Given Lara's comments after this year's program about how much time it took, she may not want to do a third season in Quebec anyway. And Lara wouldn’t have to be director in France – she could take the position of vocal coach (as you can see above, there were comments about how much better she seemed in that short period of time than Adeline who fulfilled the role this year.
The images the French public received of Lara working with the students is indicative of what people in Quebec saw numerous times during the week while the Star Academie was on the air the last two years. In that regard, here is Lara working with Lea:
[hopefully, these have not been removed...]
The second highlight of the week, and another reason Lara has remained in France, is that she has been continuing to promote her book (now called Tout). And she has been quite busy doing so (thanks to the Lara Fabian est ton autre and the Lara Fabian America FB sites for many of these links]. For clarity, the different events will be numbered.
1)Yesterday she made the rounds of Sunday entertainment programs; she was on Telemartin, as can be seen at
www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=4yU4EHyNPcQ&feature=share&fbclid=IwAR3LOLSiKcfO9ypaMQhSmhl2liF91SVxBaSunvDLZsVR96C4IjXQ4iBpzMM
(or a shorter version at www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkiCwx2bT8o)
Lara has had to ‘suffer through’ book introductions that start with them playing a few notes of her first French hit ‘Tout’ [‘suffer’ because we know she no longer likes the lyrics], and it happened once again on this show.
2) She was also the guest of Olivier Schoonejans in RTL Info on RTL TVI . An article about it is found at (https://www.rtl.be/people/potins/-la-table-a-toujours-ete-presente-dans-ma-vie-lara-fabian-parle-de-son-dernier-livre-qui-mele-autobiographie-et-cuisine-1418010.aspx?fbclid=IwAR3p6_w9ItTCvLhhyLfxunWIbR-vy9IHFNRlv9PrTI0YjTaB2i-ntauA2BY):
----------------------------------
"The table has always been present in my life": Lara Fabian talks about her latest book which combines autobiography and cooking
Guest of RTL Info at 1 p.m., singer Lara Fabian was Olivier Schoonejans' guest to come and talk about her latest book "Tout". Inside, she mixes memories of her life, but also culinary recipes. A book with a particular concept, but which was important for the singer.
" Je t'aime ", "Je suis malade" or even "Adagio", the Belgian-Canadian singer Lara Fabian is a star that needs no introduction. Such a career made her want to tell her story in a rather special book. "It's a gourmet autobiography" as she likes to define it.
The idea is that each anecdote she tells brings a reference to the kitchen, to a recipe she gives. This choice, contrary to a more classic biography, she explains by the place occupied by the table and food in her life. "I asked myself the question when I started to write". "When I started to write, I realized that there was not a story that did not end up converging on a table" she explains.
A book in which she does not fail to pay tribute to her parents, who have a very important place in her life. For example, she explains about her mother: “Luisa was someone whose kindness was cellular. She did everything with incredible generosity”.
A personal book on the one hand, but which will not fail to give recipe ideas to gourmets.
------------------------------
3) She was also on with Patrick Sébastien, shown holding each other’s books, in Les Visiteurs du Soir on the LN24 channel,
www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=679153913579413&set=a.216252733202869
and
4) on France Bleu,

with a brief article about her appearance at

5) A few days ago she made an appearance on Basique on France 2; one can see her being prepared for it, at
www.facebook.com/larafabiantonautre/videos/460383276208978
6) She was also recently on C à vous on France 5, with the video available (with English subtitles by Lara The Ring Fabian), at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZLW_68_vjA
An amazing interview, covering many different aspects of her career, and the book, and ‘uncovering’ Lara’s part in the movie Arlette, which she said she had a great deal of fun doing. They joked about not having a clip of Lara’s (nude) scene to show on the program; and it was mentioned that the movie may be out in France early next year (which means it might ultimately be available on Amazon.fr or FNAC).
7) There were indeed several more book promotions – Lara put many of the notices of them in an Instagram story (which may no longer be available when you read this), at
www.instagram.com/stories/larafabianofficial/2981616594064834112/
8) And it’s not over yet; she has an appearance scheduled December 5th on Franceinfo,
www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=676379403856864&set=pcb.676379463856858
The fact that this picture already exists clearly indicates that the program was previously recorded, and it doesn’t mean that Lara will still be in Europe at that time.
This book is really a winner – written with so much honesty, heart and soul, in addition to the wide variety of recipes, Lara is well-served to publicize it. Who knows; it may become part of her legacy.
Speaking of recent creative achievements: Lara’s new CD, "Lara Live, The Best of Live World Tour 2022" is now reaching customers who have ordered it around the world. Here are a few of my comments [that obviously include personal opinions]:
**There is no ‘booklet’ accompanying it, it is a minimal production in that way.
**That said, it is quite attractive, the same color scheme throughout that is apparent in the picture being used to promote it (https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=699925528158410&set=a.259330805551220)
**The title is not completely appropriate, as we know it is only from her Montreal concerts.
**The sound quality is exceptional.
**Lara sings powerfully throughout.
**There is some dialogue included (in French) introducing songs, and also some interaction with the audience which would likely not be fully understandable if one didn’t know what was going on.
**It’s nice to find "Je m’arreterai pas de t’aimer" included (as it was nice to have it in the concert set list). As you may know, this is one of the few songs that Lara wrote all by herself. For many years it was used as a musical introduction to her concerts, but without her singing it live. Finally it has shown up again as a vocal.
**The best cut on the album is ‘Broken Vow’, an amazing vocal performance. The crowd reaction acknowledged it.
**The most surprising cut is ‘Saisir le jour’, which had seemed to be included as a sop to her Quebec audience, but shows up as a powerful song – the best performance of it I can recall.
**The worst cut is the ‘Medley Made in Quebec”; a number of songs are included, but none is presented long enough for one to appreciate any of them. It would have been better to do another single Quebec song (like Tu t’en vas or Leila), in full.
**The most exuberant song is, not surprisingly, Humana. With all of Lara’s enthusiasm, the audience is as usual swept up in it.
**And Je t’aime is done in a very creative fashion, starting slowly and sparsely, before finishing strong.
All-in-all, this is a class production by a woman still maintaining great vocal prowess, with her ‘best’ songs (though Adagio is not included). Now if only it didn’t cost a king’s ransom to buy and ship it, it would make a good Christmas present.
Interesting photo(s)/video(s) of the week: Lara Fabian the Netherlands posted three pictures of Lara related to the Star Academy Show (provided by the Lara Fabian Family Facebook page, www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100087078295806), available at

What Lara does next, and where she does it, is still unclear, to the public at least. Maybe more book promotion...or maybe returning home for the holidays. We’ll just have to wait and see…Stay safe everybody,

3) She was also on with Patrick Sébastien, shown holding each other’s books, in Les Visiteurs du Soir on the LN24 channel,

and
4) on France Bleu,

with a brief article about her appearance at

5) A few days ago she made an appearance on Basique on France 2; one can see her being prepared for it, at

Various talents of Lara have been showcased in this update – teaching, singing, writing…so why not dancing , as shown in this Instagram reel by larafabianthevoice,

[Note: Despite the myriad contributions to this News Update made by FB sites – 5 in the ‘interesting pictures/videos’ section alone – and the busyness of her week, none of this was included on Lara’s FB site. Increasingly she treats it the same manner as her URL – an afterthought, at best].
What Lara does next, and where she does it, is still unclear, to the public at least. Maybe more book promotion...or maybe returning home for the holidays. We’ll just have to wait and see…Stay safe everybody,
