With her concert tour now only a few days away, Lara focused instead on promoting the European edition of her book this past week, which has just become available there. It's shown, with its modified picture, at
www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=672637877553842&set=a.259330805551220
or
along with the caption, “From today, discover in all bookstores, my gourmet autobiography:
"TOUT", about my confidences, my photos...
A tour of "my world", in cooking recipes that bear providence and in funny stories, until now never told…👩🍳"
This was the exact same promo statement used for the Quebec book release. In that regard, one wonders about that ‘all bookstores’ comment…is the title of the book changing in Quebec as well? Maybe…and maybe not. The amazon.ca site lists the book with the old title, but the picture they show is from the French edition with ‘Tout’ fully in place. The more ‘private’ site Lara has used to sell the book (https://www.leslibraires.ca/livres/je-passe-a-table-lara-fabian-9782764813485.html) still appears to be selling the book with its original name and cover.
Another example of the promotion can be found in the article at (http://www.rfm.fr/news/Lara-Fabian-son-autobiographie-gourmande-en-librairie-le-22-septembre-27359):

LARA FABIAN: HER GOURMET AUTOBIOGRAPHY IN BOOKSTORES ON SEPTEMBER 22!
Her recipes, her photos, her confidences... Discover "TOUT", the gourmet autobiography of Lara Fabian in bookstores on September 22nd.
Lara Fabian and the Librex Group are proud and excited to announce their creative and gourmet partnership and to introduce the very first cookbook developed and thought out by the singer. TOUT is more than a cookbook; it is a beautifully illustrated book in which Lara intersects significant moments of her life with related recipes.
Everything brings Lara Fabian back to the table. For her, meals symbolize family, friends, comfort, joy and gratitude. In this beautiful full-color book, Lara tells her story in short chapters where childhood memories, family stories, career paths, slices of life, friendships, anecdotes, confidences and magnificent photos from her personal archives mingle. All this with recipes linked to each story!
TOUT is the perfect blend of gluttony and nostalgia. This book will undoubtedly appeal to the many admirers of the singer, who reveals herself with sincerity.
“Since my earliest childhood, I have had the chance to experience the gift of transmission constantly and almost in spite of myself. Eating at Pierre and Luisa's was like sitting with your buttocks in the snow, mulled wine in hand, protected by a unique sun and warmed by a homemade brazier. No one identified with anything, but everyone found their happiness there!“, explained Lara Fabian .
From September 29, find the singer on the roads of Belgium, France and Switzerland, for a BEST OF tour. Lara Fabian will offer the best of her discography: 30 years of unforgettable hits that have woven this unbreakable bond between her and her audience, allowing her to sell more than 20 million albums around the world!

And this promotion article included one of Lara’s videos: almost comically, it was the official video of Tout :

It makes one wonder whether the choice of book title was influenced by the popularity of that song in France, as was jokingly suggested last week.
During this book promotion, Lara also took the time to address the issue of why she is not going to be the director of the Star Academy in France. Here is an article from Tele7 Jours (https://www.programme-television.org/news-tv/EXCLU-Lara-Fabian-directrice-de-Star-Academy-Elle-repond-4693230):
---------------------------------------
EXCLUDED: Lara Fabian, director of Star Academy? She answers!
In promotion of "Tout", her unusual cookbook that she will publish on September 28, the singer has put an end to the rumors concerning her possible appointment within the Château...
While the producer of MyMajorCompany, Michael Goldman, is strongly expected to take over the management of Star Academy, whose return is expected soon on TF1, the name of Lara Fabian has also circulated for a long time. And for good reason: the singer, ex-coach of The Voice, has held the position of director in the Quebec version of the program for two seasons already.
During an interview for the promotion of her next book, halfway between recipes and confidences, and the launch of her new tour, the singer gave us some information: "I know that many have speculated in the media. But given the various obligations that I had already contracted, in particular with my tour, I unfortunately could not commit. Star Academy is a magnificent franchise and after thirty years of career, the idea of transmitting to the youngest the keys of this profession, is for me a sincere desire. I would have loved to participate in it".
Fans of the artist will be able to find it in bookstores on September 22 and throughout France from September 30.
--------------------
This information was also included in an article in (https://www.gala.fr/l_actu/news_de_stars/je-ne-pouvais-pas-mengager-pourquoi-lara-fabian-ne-sera-pas-directrice-de-la-star-academy_502974), but with some additional twist:
---------------------------------------------------------------
"I couldn't commit": why Lara Fabian will not be director of the Star Academy
After years of absence, the famous music show Star Academy is about to make its comeback on TF1. A return eagerly awaited by reality TV fans which revealed several talents, such as Jenifer or Nolwenn Leroy. In this new formula, Nikos Aliagas remains the presenter, but there will be many changes within the academy, since the team of coaches will be completely renewed. For the time being, the production has left almost no name filtered, cultivating the suspense. We know, however, that the management of the "school" was entrusted to Michael Goldman , the son of Jean-Jacques Goldman. However, another great artist had been approached to take on this emblematic role: Lara Fabian. The singer, currently director of the Quebec version of the show, ticked all the boxes to take on this responsibility. "I know that many have speculated in the media. But given the various obligations that I had already contracted, in particular with my tour, unfortunately I could not commit myself", she justified in the pages of Télé 7 Jours, on newsstands this September 26.
The singer of Je t'aime will be in concert in France on October 3 and 4, and although absent from this return to the Star Academy broadcast, she wanted to recall her love for the show: "Star Academy is a magnificent franchise and, after thirty years of career, the idea of transmitting to the youngest the keys to this profession is for me a sincere desire." A desire that she has already begun to achieve by being a coach in the Quebec and French version of the show The Voice. The students who will integrate the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys will have to make up their (own) minds.
Lara Fabian, a six-figure salary offered by the production
Last July, the magazine Ici revealed the bribes of the negotiations between Lara Fabian and the production. The site revealed that Lara Fabian had taken the time to reflect, and that the question of remuneration had been discussed at length. “The negotiations are tight. For a position like that, we are talking about a salary between 300,000 and 500,000 euros, it necessarily takes time." In addition to a very tight agenda, the negotiations apparently failed to succeed, to the chagrin of the singer's fans.
------------------------------------
If both of these are true…then Lara’s ‘obligations’ (i.e., the tour) might have been ‘manipulated’ had the remuneration been tempting enough. Alternatively, even after having considered it, she might well have concluded it wouldn’t have been possible. And certainly, after all the pandemic-related cancellations, cancelling these shows outright once again was probably never on the table.
As to how the book is doing: the Lara Fabian est ton autre FB site noted that 4 days ago,‘Tout’ was #1 in sales in the "Food and Literature" category on Amazon. As of yesterday, it was #1 in sales in Italian Food (https://www.amazon.fr/gp/bestsellers/books/407036/ref=sr_bs_0_407036_1#). Apparently it can cover a lot of different categories… . The 70 reviews on that site give it an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 – and it’s quite worthy of that exalted rating!
As for published reviews, here’s one from Belgium (https://www.sudinfo.be/id502454/article/2022-09-25/la-chanteuse-lara-fabian-passe-table?fbclid=IwAR1mmG5Fkz6aXy9RTLYoT56DfMTSjs9XyPFdyHVBZXREf8rYuNtBAZU4v6o) (thanks to the Lara Fabian Coeur de lumiere FB site for the link):

She has never made a secret of it: Lara Fabian, of Italian origin, is greedy. She has now turned this "confessed fault" into a pretty book-album abundantly and richly illustrated.
And frankly, perhaps we did not expect such a neat realization. This book is a journey of life in seventeen stages to which she links recipes that have marked her. Childhood memories, family love, the professional itinerary and the encounters that punctuate it are described there with warmth, smiles and tenderness. And the recipes (some are very Belgian since we know the links that attach it to our country) deserve reading, attention and preparation. Like this “green pea soup, smoked maple bacon and savory croutons”. It will soon be in season!
---------------------------------
Who would have thought that several days before the start of a new tour, Lara’s focus, and ours, would be on something other than the tour? And, who knows, the book may turn out to be one of Lara’s biggest ‘hits’ in France… (appropriate, since the song “Tout” was her best selling single in that country ).
In other news, along with Lara’s discussion of the book in general, she got a chance to talk about her daughter, Lou (https://gettotext.com/lara-fabian-mother-of-lou-14-years-old-her-daughter-stands-out-in-a-field-far-from-music/):
--------------------------------
Lara Fabian mother of Lou, 14 years old: her daughter stands out… in a field far from music!
Happy with the magician of Sicilian origin Gabriel di Giorgio whom she married nine years ago, Lara Fabian was previously in a relationship with the producer and composer Gérard Pullicino. They broke up ten years ago and from their union was born Lou, on November 20, 2007. With her only daughter, the Belgian-Canadian singer is very close and she is preparing to see her pass the milestone of 15 years. In the columns of TV 7 Jours, the artist with the golden voice makes a tasty secret about her darling child.
If we know her for her unforgettable and powerful songs, Lara Fabian also has another passion than music: cooking. She reveals it in a book, titled Tout, echoing her hit. In this book, she recounts herself between confidences and recipes, mixing childhood memories, family stories, professional career, slices of life, friendships, anecdotes… A book of atypical confidences accompanied by 30 cooking recipes symbolizing convivial moments with her relatives. Eating well, a passion she clearly passed on to her daughter, as she tells TV 7 Jours.
“Lou is a great ‘greedy gourmet’ and a generous cook. She can spend hours developing Japanese cuisine from traditional recipes, adding her own twist. For pastry, she hasn’t stopped impressing me since she was 7 years old...”, explains the 52-year-old singer. It has therefore been eight years since the young girl enjoys cooking with or without her mother, to the delight of the taste buds. A passion that always brings them closer together, she who had posted a sweet photo of their duet last spring with the following caption: “So proud to be your mom, you are the only answer to all my prayers, the light of my life… Lou.“

Interesting photo(s)/video(s) of the week:
The Lara Fabian the Netherlands FB site had some beautiful pictures of Lara and clothing she was wearing for a photoshoot in Voeux from January 2018, at
www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=506094161523979&set=pcb.506095914857137
We know that Lara used to treat her ‘costumes’ for her concerts in a very perfunctory manner; she even said she was on stage primarily to share her voice and the songs. However, ever since she became a TV star, in both Quebec and France, her wardrobe had improved dramatically. It will be interesting to see if that translates to what she wears in this upcoming tour.
And, once again, the Lara Fabian America FB site posted a picture of Lara which, in this case, might be one of the most beautiful one of her ever taken (IMHO ), available at
www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=482098500596547&set=a.427157889423942
And speaking of beautiful pictures, there are a whole host of them in the video posted by the Lara Fabian Tribute channel, at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qu8LDvfHEiM
(shown to Lara’s singing of “Why” from the album “All the Women in Me”. Maybe some day that album will get the recognition it deserves, from Lara as well as from others…)
The Lara Fabian Fan Espana group posted one of the rarer videos of Lara, performing a song from West Side Story, this from 1994, at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=icemQt9Glhc
And going back even earlier, Андрей Павел posted several audios of Lara from the 1980s,
Ces Oiseaux-là at www.youtube.com/watch?v=Od6U8AM9FUA
L'encre De Tes Yeux at www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7iWhqfwAGM
Those are both incredible…
Here we are, some 35 years later, and Lara will once again be singing incredible songs. It will be nice to have her back on stage, and fully back in public life! By next week's update Lara will have performed four shows, including the first one in Paris; we will know the European setlist (and hopefully have some videos). Stay healthy, everybody,
