The primary news for this week was Lara’s renewed association with La Voix. If you remember, the seventh season of La Voix was to be its last, at least for the foreseeable future, to be replaced by ‘STAR ACADÉMIE’ in 2021. But, as elsewhere, the season was cut short in the ‘Duels’ section due to the corona virus. It is therefore being resumed in September (now called “Season 8”), as indicated below:
---------------------------------------
“Don't forget, return scheduled to TVA on September 13th, 19 pm, with a special show that will sum up the blind auditions and the Duels (because it's far in our memories)!”
Already 4 musical guests have been announced for the Live of #LaVoixTVA: Lara Fabian, Michel Rivard (page officielle), Ariane Moffatt and Luc De Larochellière.

Who else would you like to see in performance with the candidates?

Discover the identity of the guests of the Directs of La Voix 2020
The show resumes on September 13th.
During the unveiling of the fall 2020 programming of TVA, we learned the identity of some of the guests of the Directs of La Voix 2020.
Charles Lafortune and Marc Dupré revealed to us that Lara Fabian, former coach at La Voix will be present as well as Ariane Moffatt, Luc De Larochellière and Michel Rivard.
You should know that La Voix will begin with a recap episode of 90 minutes on September 13 at 9 p.m., just to get back in the bath. Then, we will be entitled to the Battle Songs the following week where the super coach Ginette Reno will promulgate her precious advice to singers. This show was recorded last winter, but has not been broadcast yet due to the pandemic.
It is therefore on Sunday September 27 at 7:30 p.m. that we will find our favorite candidates for the Directs. We can't wait to see how this large stage has been redesigned to give it a warm atmosphere despite the absence of an audience in the studio.
Are you as impatient as we are to find this unifying show that is La Voix?
----------------------------------------------
So Lara will be one of the musical guests who accompany the candidates during the live portions of the show, later this month. Ironic what it took for that to happen: first the pandemic had to move La Voix away from the spring, when Lara was on ‘The Voice – la plus belle voix’ and had concerts in Europe/Asia; then Lara’s fall concerts had to be cancelled due to its continued influence. While she won’t be a coach, she’ll at least have a guest appearance working with those to whom she may be able to transfer her knowledge (and to perform). This will also help keep her relevant, at least a bit, to the audience in Quebec.
Lara has continued her personal interactions with fans, beginning this week with a ‘Labor Day” photo and wish for her fans, i.e.,
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.622966977744803/4404931566214973/
or
and the caption, “Happy Labor Day to my dear Quebec, to all Quebecers... I love you 🙏💋💖”
That message brought forth 1000 comments, of an equal felicitous, loving nature. Having seen them, Lara replied today with another picture, at
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.622966977744803/4408325555875574/
or
and the caption, “I read your messages, and miss you too... I know our reunion will only be more beautiful and intense.... I think of you so strongly... Love 💖”
Lara has taken to appearing with glasses on in her personal communications. There really is no reason for it, as she generally is not reading anything…it seems to be more of a dedication to the ‘truth’ - here’s what I really look like during the day, similar to her not wearing makeup in some of the photos.
It’s been noticed by various publications that Lara’s most emotional songs, particularly, 'Je suis malade', are getting a large response in “reaction videos” on youtube. For example, on BFM TV there is this video news report:

ON YOUTUBE, THE SUCCESS OF VIDEOS OF ENGLISH SPEAKERS DISCOVERING THE VOICE OF LARA FABIAN
In the nebula of "reaction" videos on YouTube, a sub-genre fascinates thousands of Internet users: videos of English speakers listening to the cover of the song 'Je suis malade' by Lara Fabian.
YouTube's suggestion algorithm sometimes has surprises in store for us. On the American platform, a hundred videos of English speakers discovering - with astonishment and / or emotion - the cover of the song ‘Je suis malade’ of Serge Lama by Lara Fabian during a concert in 1999, accumulate tens of thousands of views. The latest were released just a few days ago.
"This is amazing"
On YouTube, videos featuring individuals reacting to another video - called "react" - are a genre in their own right. The videographer films himself in a simple setting, watching content that is displayed in miniature on the screen.
In the case of Lara Fabian's interpretation, with English subtitles, the reactions are often similar.
"It's incredible, so dramatic. Did she write this song? It's a vocal feat", wonders Rebecca "Vocal Athlete", followed by a million people.
Her video, published in January 2019, has more than 620,000 views and is the most watched of its kind.
Rebecca is not, however, at the origin of this trend. The first videos were published two years ago and most of them come from voice coaches or channels specializing in "react" videos. The phenomenon is such that compilation videos even list all the content on the subject.
Lara Fabian is not the only French-speaking singer to be the subject of videos of this nature, but remains visibly the most appreciated by English-speaking people. We can also mention Diam's and his song La Boulette or Mylène Farmer.

The irony here of course is that Lara is no longer producing albums with this type of singing, although she still does perform them in her concerts. By staying ‘au courant’ in her albums, she has moved away from those strengths that allowed people to gravitate toward her songs.
The Lara Fabian UK site has a number of posts warning people not to buy items purportedly from Lara which are really from fake sites. One can see examples at

We can expect Lara to have some time coming up with the candidates on La Voix prior to her appearance with them later in September; otherwise, she may post a few more ‘personal interactions’ on her sites. This is in addition to any work she’s doing on the ‘special projects’ she has referred to. Otherwise – stay safe everybody.
