Lara made news this past week with a live ‘chat’ on her Instagram site (on Saturday, following an earlier cancellation). She gave some information about the upcoming concerts and responded to well-wishers of all sorts. A video of it is available from the ‘Lara Fabian Coeur de lumière’ FB site, at
www.facebook.com/larafabiancoeurdelumiere/videos/2278258238918889/
Lara primarily responded to questions coming in live, and often they asked whether the 50 World Tour would include concerts in their particular locations. In response to a question concerning any upcoming concerts in Brazil, Lara said, “Not right now” (and there was no response when Argentina was asked about). In contrast, Turkey got a big ‘yes’, as did Dubai, London, Spain and maybe even Cairo. Manu Pitois will be involved in her tour once again, and, as we’ve been led to believe, a number of her big hits will be included. She also spent time talking about La Voix, and how much she enjoyed it and being in Quebec. However, when asked about whether she intended to be on La Voix next year (season 8), she gave a detailed answer, which is copied in the following (translated) article (https://www.envedette.ca/potins-stars-quebec/television/lara-fabian-annonce-qu-elle-ne-reviendra-pas-a-la-voix-l-an-prochain-1.9484654?fbclid=IwAR38HP7eLXuL8x_6c6yGPX0UVj6-aHxRebXOC10tcztLz_5NdAwT0JtViC4):

LARA FABIAN ANNOUNCES SHE WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO LA VOIX NEXT YEAR
Awwww no! Lara Fabian has just darkened our Saturday night by announcing sad news ...
It was during a live Instagram that the bubbly singer revealed that she is not returning as a coach at La Voix next year. Well established in the salon of her hairdresser friend David D'Amours, the singer spent a long time with her fans from all over the world. While Lara was telling us about her new tour Lara Fabian 50 World Tour, which will bring her especially in the coming months to the United States, France, Belgium, Switzerland and Russia, a Montreal fan wanted to know if she was planning to return to her red chair in season 8 of La Voix in 2020.
Here is her answer:
"So that's a very, very important question. As you know, I'm on the 50 World Tour. This show has a multitude of dates spread over a very long period of time. And I would say that La Voix's team here has been extraordinary, the whole team of La Voix : Surfing Productions, the directors, Jean-François, Isabelle, Chantal, Benoît ... Everyone has turned ALL upside down so that I can do the dates. My biggest problem was to be able to do more than 50 dates, over all those places, and at the same time, to be present for all the recording dates of La Voix. We really came back in all directions ... Unfortunately, it was not possible. To our great despair, because really, you know how I liked doing that ... I will not be back on the red chair of La Voix, much to my chagrin. BUT, I swear I'll follow that very very very closely. Somehow, it was so important to me this transmission experience, this moment in my life when I came back to Quebec ... to sit on the red chair, to be a coach at La Voix. It has been, I have said and I repeat, perhaps one of the most wonderful gifts in my career. The link I created with people, the learning that I did; I think I have become a better person, a better artist in contact with these young people, in contact with these people, in contact with this team. The team of La Voix in Quebec, the production team, the directing team ... The first year, the second year, it was magical for me. I can not really describe it. One must live it. Something happened to me when I sat on this chair ... It's as if there was no more dissociation between the woman that I am and the artist that I am. That's why I have so much trouble to no longer be able to sit on the red chair next year! Somehow, I bring that with me. And Geneviève, who is my winner this year, will be coming to the Montreal show in Quebec City ... So, I really feel like bringing some of La Voix with me. I'll take news, I hope I'll be able to come on the show at some point, greet everyone ... Frankly, it's difficult for me. It was very difficult for me to realize that despite all the incredible help provided by the La Voix team, I was not able to be present for all the dates. In addition, I will be in Europe from October 1st ... I will make cities like Dubai, Athens, maybe even Cairo ... And then after, from January, until April, I'm still in Europe, France, Belgium, Switzerland. So, to my great despair, it's not possible ... ", she says.
Lara adds that she leaves the door open for Skype moments, where her fellow coaches Éric, Marc and Alex (if they come back as coaches next season) could call her to continue these beautiful moments of transmission.
After two seasons at La Voix , Lara must now pass the torch: her famous red armchair is vacant and bets are open to find a replacement for the coach with a big heart and singer. Who would you see in her place?
Psssst ! The album Papillon of Lara is still available in stores and on all digital platforms.
----------------------------------------------------
It will be a big loss for the show, as TVA undoubtedly appreciates. When this story was reported on “7 Jours” (https://www.facebook.com/magazine7Jours/photos/a.215281058499409/2845667068794115/?type=3&theater) there were many sad responses from the public, although they understood the reason.
One also wonders if it will increase the possibility that Lara will leave Quebec, practically if not formally. After all, as she indicated, she’ll be spending a good part of the next year in Europe; does it make sense to continually return to Quebec (where she has only a few concerts) in the middle of an extended touring schedule? Lara has said she doesn’t want to interrupt Lou’s schooling, and has promised her they would ‘stay put’, but situations do change (even if, at the moment, she still envisions going back and forth to Quebec).
On another topic of interest, in response to the following question, Lara gave the following answer:
------------------------------------------
It's true that you will make a duet with Dimash?
LF: Yes, it's true. But he surprised me the rascal, he announced it before me. It's true. I'm going to have the chance to do this duet with him on a wonderful song written by Igor Krutoy. You will discover this duet very very soon. That's also part of a new album project that I have in mind. But I will not tell you everything during this live ....
---------------------------------------
One suspects that the new album will be the next venture with Krutoi; Lara had met him recently and indicated they had been discussing new work.
The ‘announcement by Dimash that Lara was referring to is discussed at (https://www.inform.kz/en/dimash-kudaibergen-to-sing-a-duet-with-lara-fabian_a3548737), copied below:

Dimash Kudaibergen to sing a duet with Lara Fabian
NUR-SULTAN. KAZINFORM Dimash Kudaibergen has announced he would duet with world-famous singer Lara Fabian, Kazinform reports. “Soon we will present to your attention a new duet with the winner of the World music awards, with Lara Fabian,” he posted on Instagram. Recall that Dimash performed Lara Fabian’s song ‘Adagio’ at China’s 'I am a Singer' contest. After the performance, Lara Fabian congratulated Dimash on his success via Facebook. “Adagio” travels across continents... Congratulations to Dimash Kudaibergenov performing at the Chinese TV competition “I am a singer”, she wrote.

As Lara had mentioned previously, there will be a chorus for her show, the Riverin sisters. Here is a (translated) article about them (thanks to the larafabianweb FB site for the link) (https://www.lequotidien.com/arts/les-soeurs-riverin-autour-du-monde-avec-lara-fabian-07009ba2e3e4a518c83347cefdbbb7a2?fbclid=IwAR076cg0qVU2tXaCZV7R4xHpQejqBFc4XDGdxya7C73pn8iT4eCElh1qY9c).

Riverin sisters around the world with Lara Fabian
The Riverin sisters have just won a huge contract. Karine, Marie-Eve and Caroline will act as Lara Fabian's backing vocalists in her next world tour. They will accompany her in a series of 72 shows that will take them to 50 countries around the world.
"We've been listening to Lara since we were very young. She’s an idol for us," says Marie-Ève Riverin, who is still struggling to believe it.
"Singing with her is a gift. Going on tour with her is an amazing gift. And to live all three together is the pinnacle of privilege," she exclaims.
The three sisters, originally from Shipshaw, have been singers for Nanette Workman for more than 15 years. They have accompanied several artists, including Bruno Pelletier, Annie Villeneuve and Marc-André Fortin. "We also had the chance to cast our votes behind Ginette Reno," says Marie-Eve. But this time, the contract takes on another dimension.
Lara Fabian has sold more than 20 million albums. The Lara Fabian 50 World Tour, which will take place over one year, will take them to the United States, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Turkey, Portugal, Croatia, Russia and the United Arab Emirates. The girls will also perform in Quebec at the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier in Montreal on April 1 and 2, 2020, and at the Videotron Center in Quebec City on April 4. The first show will be presented in New York on September 16th.
"We will discover the world together. We will go to places that we would never have had the chance to see," enthuses Marie-Eve.
It was during the last day of filming La Voix that Lara Fabian herself asked her and her sisters to accompany her. The two artists have been working together for two years.
"We had a hard time believing it. We had chills, we laughed, we cried. We are very very excited. It's a huge gift."
A relationship developed between Lara Fabian and Marie-Ève Riverin over the two years, but never before have the three singers accompanied her.
"She did her research. She had listened to all our material and she had seen us in December," said Marie-Eve.
The three sisters have begun rehearsals with the Belgian singer's team. Marie-Eve is in charge of the arrangements.
Karine and Caroline, who are respectively a real estate agent and a cafe owner, have begun preparations for their departure.
"We will have the opportunity to come back. We'll leave for two weeks, then we'll be back for two weeks, explains Caroline. It's a great management, we put things in place. It forces us to organize ourselves even better. But our children are big teenagers now and we have good partners who are aware of how lucky we are. "

--------------------------------------------------------
MARIE-ÈVE WITH THE BIGGEST
(Anne-Marie Gravel) - There is a bit of Marie-Ève Riverin behind some of the most beautiful voices of Quebec chanson.
The vocal coach wins more and more contracts that lead her to work with the big names in the musical landscape as well as with newcomers.
"I work with both the next generation and the older ones. I'm on my X. I have many beautiful contracts," she says.
Marie-Ève worked on Eric Lapointe's show, The Show of My Life, presented on the Plains on July 9th.
"I made the vocal arrangements, placed the harmonies for the duets and the group songs," she says. It was super intimidating, impressive," agrees the one who worked with Ginette Reno, Garou, Jean-Pierre Ferland, Marjo, Mario Pelchat, Michel Pagliaro and many others.
"Placing harmonies is mainly what I do with La Voix. I prepare the team numbers, I make some cuts. Much of my work consists of placing the vocal harmonies."
Obviously, her participation in La Voix is not unrelated to her presence on the Plains. "I work a lot with Eric at La Voix. He asked me to work with him for the Plains Show so everything was right. It is a great privilege."
The name of Marie-Ève Riverin circulates more and more. "I have lots of nice contracts," she confirms.
This summer, she will coach the artists of La Voix Experience, which will be presented at the Capitole de Québec and then at the Théâtre Saint-Denis in Montreal.
She has also resumed her role as judge of the pre-hearing of La Voix for the selection of candidates with her two sisters.
She will also work again with coaches and new candidates at the next edition of the TV competition.
The one who began her career in the television world with Mixmania 3 and 4 broadcasts on Vrak TV has been part of the La Voix team since 2016, when the first edition of La Voix Jr. was presented.
"I really like that television. It's another dynamic. I like being a coach as much as being on stage," she says.
------------------------------------
So it was obvious that Lara would choose her and her sisters, having gotten to see their work first-hand. In her announcement about no longer being with La Voix, she indicated she would be taking a bit of La Voix on tour with her, and this is one concrete example of that.
Continuing with the ‘tour’ information, despite some earlier uncertainty, Lara will have a ‘VIP’ experience for four concerts in the U.S. The tickets are available at:
www.ticketmaster.com/promo/3tx0ts/?fbclid=IwAR22SqWIIpJu3P0-xjjn41JVuNs0XjiQEyPtc-spSqVwTLwekZ7A5akE4Ng
In other news, Lara was on the radio show RTL RADIO Laissez vous Tenter; it can be heard at (the first part of the show) at

Lara’s history of hits as a ‘singer of voice’, were brought up, along with her enjoyment of Maria Callas, Phil Collins, Peter Garbriel, Kate Bush etc. Lara maintained her point of view that each epoch has its own ‘character’ of music, and the current one does not favor such powerful singing.
with the caption, “On the way to our Sicily ... Happy holidays to all of you ... I'm going to recharge ... But I'll see you soon ...”
And then,

with the caption, “Arrived well in Sicily…the vacation begins…I kiss you.”
Lara did not forget Belgium, posting the following picture
with the caption, “Happy national day at my beautiful Belgian land .... this cradle of benevolence that saw me born and grow ... I love you Belgium”.
She then topped it off with this version, from Sicily,
(These will also serve as the ‘interesting photo(s) of the week').
So now we know, Lara will be on vacation as usual in Sicily this coming week. We’ll see if any announcements arise; at some point La Voix will have to appoint her replacement. The show won’t be the same without her. Several people wrote in hoping to see her back on it in two years, but a lot can happen in that time. Anyway… as Lara said…Happy summer holidays to all of you.
