with the (translated) caption, “So many beautiful things in preparation! I am so impatient! The fact that it was written in French implies that these things are French-language related, and we know that mostly to be the case – the new French album, presumably plans for a new single and concert tour, the fall concerts in Quebec, and then the next season of La Voix. An exciting time for Lara, as her caption indicates, and one which provides hope for Lara’s fans after a quiet summer.
One thing that will not be in French is her scheduled upcoming concert in Sao Paulo, Brazil, for the English language album ‘Camouflage’ – the last of the Camouflage World Tour appearances. Last week we noted that the more expensive tickets had sold well, but there were many others left available. This became the subject of discussion on Lara’s site, e.g.,

Lara went on to say that she has been told that ¾ of the seats are still available, and it’s not up to her, it’s the promoter who has the final say (although 1,000 tickets already sold seems respectable). Clearly, Lara’s comments are not an accident – in effect, she is warning the Brazilian public that the show may not take place if there isn’t a better response. The Brazilian fan’s rejoinder was there has not been any advertising (outside of Facebook, especially on their site), not even in Sao Paulo itself (the city Lara has said has the most ‘youtube’ viewers of her work); and also, that Brazilians tend to buy tickets at the last moment.
We’ve seen this before – in most of the U.S. venues, the tickets sales occurred primarily during the last couple of weeks before the concert, and there’s still a month before her scheduled appearance in Brazil. However, Lara seems to be warning that the promoter may ‘pull the plug’ before that takes place. If so, it will be a great shame – and an ignominious end to the Camouflage tour, given that the German concerts scheduled for September had the same fate.
All of this perhaps helps explain why Lara’s ‘anticipation’ of good things to come was expressed in French…
The situation does put Lara in a bit of a practical bind, as well as being embarrassing. She has indicated that the show in Brazil will involve performing songs (like Love By Grace) that she hasn’t done in many years, and one imagines she will be rehearsing them, if not now, very soon. A decision is required about whether to do that, or not.

Getting back to the (French) reasons that Lara is so impatient, there’s been no public movement on them (i.e., anything to do with the new French album), after last week's announcement of her participation in La Voix. Presumably they are waiting for ‘La rentree’ – now just a week away. So fans need to be impatient for (perhaps) just a little bit longer...
In other news, the “Lara Fabian et Emmanuel Moore: LE duo” FB site posted a message from Olivier Ciappa (of “Imaginary Couples” picture fame). It mentions Lara and so the translation is provided below:

It's my grandmother's birthday today. Anyway, I wanted to share a memory with you.
A few years ago, I cut myself off from all contact with my family. Actually, the only person I was close to as a child and an adult was my grandmother.
Unfortunately, like many very old people, she was in a nursing home with increasingly pronounced Alzheimer's. The Orderlies told me she completely forgot me.
And then, and then.... two years ago, she fell by the most crazy chance on a portrait of me in Grazia with my picture.
And suddenly, as by magic, all the memory came back to her: my name, memories from before, of when I was little, then teenager...
And the memory remained, since, since that day, she talked about both of us to all the staff who took care of her.
Chance made me come right to France for my visa. Of course, I went down to her retirement home near Marseilles for a day.
And second chance even more crazy, Lara Fabian who my grandmother loved and remembered, gave a concert a few miles from her retirement home the day I went down.
For those who saw this concert 2016, this is the one where all my pictures of imaginary couples were broadcast behind Lara on a giant screen.
Lara invited us, thus my mother and the nurses who took care of her and became her new family.
It was one of the most beautiful memories of my life. I saw the pride, joy and emotion of my grandmother when she saw my projected photos, my name appearing on the screen and when Lara talked about me on stage.
After the concert we spent some time with her and I didn't remember seeing her so happy.
I left my grandmother in the parking lot, accompanied by her two favorite caregivers from the retirement home. Just before leaving, I pressed the camera one last time. And there, while she was still motionless in a wheelchair, she raised her arms in the air and lifted the legs of the armchair like a child (normally the 3rd photo is a live photo, pressing it on your phone it should come alive).
This is the last picture I have of her and by far the most beautiful.
She died on December 31, 2016. I didn't have the courage to return to France at the funeral or tell anyone. I preferred to stay in some kind of denial, not ready to grieve.
With these beautiful memories and beautiful images, I think it's time for me to let her go.
