It turns out that Lara wasn’t quite finished with Sicily after all. She posted several pictures of herself from there,

These are in reverse order time-wise (so the top, beautiful picture can be the lead for this Update).
Thus the third picture, from August 7, came with the caption, “If this is Tuesday.. “ this must be .. Sicily again, with Corrado Assenza, my favorite Sicilian pastry chef..."
The second one, on August 8th, had the caption, “Summer goes on…” (in English).
And the first one, from August 11th, said “Last days of vacation…” (in French). The photo was so alluring it was picked up by The Closer (https://www.closermag.fr/people/photo-lara-fabian-radieuse-pour-profiter-de-ses-derniers-jours-de-vacances-en-s-858951) and The World of Stars (https://www.mondedestars.com/nouvelles/lara-fabian-partage-une-nouvelle-photo-sexy-et-elle-est-tout-simplement-resplendissante), among other publications.
It’s nice that Lara has had the chance for such an extended break from what was a very hectic schedule this past year. Already things are falling in place for the fall, although they are activity she’s already completed. One we already knew about. but we got more of a taste of it when Sonia Benezra appeared on ‘Sucre Sale’ to talk about her upcoming show “Tout le monde aime…”. Lara also made an appearance. The video can be seen at:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=WB3Uz_pq_JU
Sonia explained the idea is that the chosen artist comes and sings his/her own songs and songs of others, while others come on the show and sing the songs that they love of that artist. A clip of a great big chorus singing Lara’s “Je t’aime” behind her can be seen starting at the 1:22 mark. Lara also appears at various other places in the video, given her long history with the host, including the incident when Rick Allison proposed to her on the show (at 4:26+); that segment continues with Sonia describing her first meetings with Lara, realizing she had a crazy talent, her singing. How she asked Lara to sing the song Whitney Houston had sung “I Will Always Love You” (which is really a Dolly Parton song), and how it produced goosebumps for everybody there. How Lara sold 50,000 copies in the few weeks after that appearance.
Lara discusses how important she feels Sonia was for her career (starting at 7:15), the 'maker of gifts of happiness and surprises at all the most important moments of her life'. For example, Sonia asked Serge Lama to listen to Lara’s singing of a version of “Je suis malade” and we know what that led to, Lara returning to Europe and the rest of her career.
Otherwise Sonia Benezra discussed her own life and career – the fact that she had been taking care of her mother who was in the hospital, and if the offer to do this show had come just a few weeks earlier she wouldn’t have been able to accept it. That the timing was “part of a greater plan”. How it hurts her that so many of the archives of her show from decades ago are no longer available. How she dreamed of having an international career but didn’t have the courage to move. She’s had a lot of support in Quebec, and could watch her family grow, and be near her mother, but it is a regret as she thinks she could have been successful in the States.
It turns out that when Lara had to record the show “Tout le monde aime…Lara Fabian”, it was a few days after Maurane had passed away on May 7th. Lara said everybody on the show was very respectful of the fact that she “had a big bandage on her heart”; and that in the face of death, it’s "ever more important to live intensely".
Finally, (in a segment starting at about 9:05), Lara indicated that when she first heard about the show “Tout le monde aime…” with Sonia Benezra, she thought the purpose of it was for guests to come on and say how much they loved the memories of Sonia. Lara came up with the ideas that it was because of Sonia’s generosity, and that she knows “everything of your artistic life, even those things that you’ve forgotten”. And while that turned out not to be what the show was about, it remains true, and helps explain why everyone really does love Sonia. “Tout le monde aime avec Lara Fabian” will be broadcast in the fall.

A video of Lara singing “I Will Always Love You” on the Sonia Benezra show from 1993 (not the clip they used on ‘Sucre Sale’) can be found at:

Speaking of past video clips, last week the use of Lara’s song 'Love by Grace' in the Brazilian soap opera “Family Ties” was discussed. The video of that from that show can be seen at:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=DE07CWzim18
Back to Quebec: also on ‘Sucre Sale”, in an interview with Yama Laurent and Jean-Pierre Ferland it was revealed that Ferland will be releasing an album entitled "Toutes les femmes de ma vie", which will feature his greatest hits interpreted with singers including Céline Dion, Lara Fabian, and Isabelle Boulay. The album will appear in October.
In other news, the Lara Fabian web site pointed out that the lyrics for the song “Remember Me” that Lara sung over the closing credits for the movie “The Cello” have been posted on their website (https://www.cellomovie.com/lyrics). They’re copied here:

"Remember Me"
WRITTEN BY RANDY KERBER
VOCALS BY LARA FABIAN
LYRICS BY GLEN BALLARD
Tell me a story to put me to sleep
Cause there’s more to the story,
a secret we keep.
If you miss me today,
you can still find a way.
Cause the song still goes on
once the singer has gone.
So remember me.
I’ll be with you,
and I’ll never be far away.
Just remember me
it will lift us high above,
out of time, into love.
Life is a journey
that won’t ever end.
Each destination
is where we begin.
Once the race has been run.
All our days in the sun
will shine on in your dreams
and will send you to me.
So remember me
I’ll be with you
and I’ll never be far away.
Just remember me
it will lift us high above,
out of time, into love.
Tell me a story to put me to sleep.

These beautiful sentiments could also apply to Maurane…
Interesting photo of the week: it would be hard to beat Lara’s photos, and most sites didn’t even try, but there’s a nice pensive picture posted on the Lara Fabian America site, at
www.facebook.com/larafabianamerica/photos/a.353726431791949.1073741830.339739519857307/453907898440468/?type=3&theater.
Since Lara’s vacation is over, and that presumably means ‘back to work’, we can again wonder whether this will have any public expression to it before September. At least it might imply that Lara’s Team will also be back to work, which in itself might lead to more public interaction. They’ve urged patience while waiting for announcements concerning Lara’s future; we’ll see how long that will take.
