Summer began officially this past week, and it certainly is here for Lara, in that her public activity has dropped off sharply. There are some carryovers from the concert in Paris last week, first a few more videos:

Lara Fabian at the Zenith of Paris: We Were There!
As part of the "Camouflage World Tour", Lara Fabian was at the Zenith of Paris last night!
As usual, the audience came to applaud Lara and discover her new songs live. Indeed, the album "Camouflage" is available since last October and it is composed of effective titles and very well produced.
The show started with "Chameleon" which set the tone for the rest of the evening. Lara was lovely and very classy, an image that fits perfectly with the world of her latest opus in English.
She did not forget her fans from the first hour and this new show was naturally composed of old titles. What a pleasure to rediscover "Humana" and especially "Je zappe" she had not sung for a while. The audience eagerly awaited the "Je t’aime" hit and did not have to ask for it.
There were many beautiful moments, including her rendition of "Pas sans toi", a song she wrote at age 21 and everyone had a shiver at Serge Lama's "Je suis malade". Lara also paid a very nice tribute to Maurane with "Tu es mon autre" and to Johnny Hallyday with "Requiem pour un fou".
We had three titles from her first album in English from 1999. The sublime "Broken vow", the driving "I will love again" which made all the Zénith dance and the inevitable "Adagio" to finish beautifully.
As always, Lara Fabian gave herself 100% and offered her audience a wonderful concert of 2 hours! After all these years of career, she is an artist who is very appreciated because she is always so generous and talented. Do not hesitate to discover the album "Camouflage" and go see it on one of the dates of this new tour if you have the opportunity!

A nice, uncritical review, which didn't pay too much attention to individual songs from the new album. Will any of these survive to be included in future concerts? It doesn't seem likely...As far as one could tell, that was the only published review of Lara’s concert.
Some fans writing in said they had ignored the new English album, and would now check it out. However, if you’re wondering whether the concerts in Brussels and Paris resulted in putting Camouflage – or any of Lara’s other albums – on the French and Belgium top 200 charts, the answer is no (while many far, far inferior artists have several albums listed). This may be an indication of what Lara will have to deal with for the new French album. For those interested, it’s always curious how Lara is doing on iTunes in various countries; as of June 20th, ‘En toute intimite’ was #23 in Mauritius, the ‘Live 2002 album’ was #30 in Bulgaria, and the single ‘Growing Wings’ was #38 in the Czech Republic. And yet Lara could not crack the top 200 in either of her main francophone countries…
There is a promo video for the only remaining concert on the Camouflage tour that we are certain about, in Sao Paulo. It can be seen at:
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/videos/2112311652143654/
It came with the publicity blurb: “LARA FABIAN'S FIRST CONCERT IN BRAZIL!!! -
Camouflage World Tour - São Paolo / September 28th 2018
Singer and songwriter Lara Fabian will come to Brazil with her world tour "Camouflage World Tour" for unique presentation. The show will take place in São Paulo, in the Space of the Americas, September 28. Tickets are now available for sale: compre.ingressorapido.com.br/event/6098”
One has to say the video is exceedingly well done, showing montages of favorite duets, emphasizing songs known by the Brazilian public (Meu grand amor; Love by Grace) and featuring Lara singing at full strength. Lara even gets to thank the public for waiting all these years (some 18) for her to come back. It will be interesting to see how well attended the concert is, what other events she has going on there (hard to believe she would go all that way without something else planned), and whether it will encourage Lara to come back again.
The only other scheduled media appearance for Lara that was assumed to be upcoming was on the show “Tout le monde aime”. However, on Sonia Benezra’s FB site (https://www.facebook.com/SoniaBenezraPageOfficielle/photos/a.364282396926836.83350.163077080380703/1817690448252683/?type=3&theater) it indicates that the show will be returning in the Fall of 2018. If that’s true, then it will coincide to some degree with Lara’s concerts in Quebec, scheduled for next October.
www.facebook.com/LaraFabianetEmmanuelMoireLEduo/videos/1833092213424030/
It took place on December 20th, 2000, organized by radio station WKTU as a charity event. As noted in an article about it (https://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/star-studded-miracle-on-34th-street-pulls-together-jacko-ricky-others-for-charity-20001220), Michael Jackson did not actually sing, indicating he had laryngitis [but, as the article also notes, he announced that in a surprisingly strong voice! ].
Lara noted in some of her interviews, there’s a lot that is ‘up in the air’ for her right now. Primarily, there’s the question of where is she going to live/stay/work. While Quebec seems the odds-on choice, one wonders how much that depends upon whether she is back on La Voix for their next season. Her new French album is going to require a lot of personal appearances in France and Belgium if she wants to make any headway whatsoever with it, and that might suggest another move back ‘across the pond’, if there is no strong reason to keep her in North America. Nevertheless, it’s hard to imagine her leaving Quebec, given her reception, and the upcoming, almost ‘welcome home’ concerts she has planned for October (and now the Sonia Benezra ‘All the World Loves You’ show). She may want to start her new school, as well, which she has indicated will likely be in Quebec.. And the issue of ‘safety’ in Europe must also still be a concern. While all of this will undoubtedly ‘work itself out’, some things (like planning for future concerts, and TV shows) do need to be done quite a bit ahead of time. At least, finishing the new French album is something that would appear to be in her control, and is likely the project for the summer. Good luck to her with that.
