Lara’s week revolved around the fifth and last of the blind auditions for La Voix. Lara completed her ‘team’ of 12, and posted a picture of the various members, at
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.622966977744803.1073741829.201065806601591/1961974677177353/?type=3&theater
along with the caption, "So here it is, my wonderful and eclectic team of high-voltage. I'm so excited to live the following before you, at their side! #Lavoixtva"
Lara’s two new team members are Katrina Robert and Yann Brassard. Their videos can be seen at:

tva.canoe.ca/emissions/lavoix/videos/audition-a-laveugle-de-yann-brassard-la-voix-6
The highlight, however, was when another contestant, Cherylyn Toca, sang “Je t’aime”, and Lara came to join her; it can be found at:

as well as

An article about it appeared in the Journal of Montreal (http://www.journaldemontreal.com/2018/03/11/voyez-cette-candidate-de-la-voix-chanter-je-taime-en-duo-avec-lara-fabian). Here’s the translation:
-------------------------------------------
See this candidate from "La Voix" sing "Je t'aime" in duet with Lara Fabian
To retake a song from one of La Voix's four coaches for one’s blind audition is a risky gamble.
It goes or it breaks! Fortunately for Cherylyn Toca, her reinterpretation of “Je t’aime”, the classic of Lara Fabian, pleased the four coaches, including the main interested party.
Even though the Belgian singer did not turn around - her team was full, her button was deactivated - she offered a gift to the candidate: she sang a duet with her.
The improvised duet gave rise to one of the best moments of all blind Auditions. Coach Eric had a tear in his eye.
It is moreover with the rocker that Cherylyn Toca will continue the adventure.
---------------------------------------------
Lara would probably have loved to have had her on her team, but, as noted, she already had her 12 candidates. Again, Lara was involved in one of the highlights of the show – TVA must be overjoyed by her presence.
La Voix posted a video asking people to vote for one of the top five moments on the ‘blind audition’ portions of their show. This was included. The video is at:
www.facebook.com/lavoixtva/videos/1602300189865483/
A few carryovers from Lara’s concerts in Moscow and Ukraine. While we normally don’t discuss videos that are made available several weeks after a concert, special note should be made of videos by Ily Nesterov. He posted 8 very beautiful videos of the 2-25-18 concert in Moscow. They can be seen at:
www.youtube.com/channel/UCCDpFY-Q054Xw9BwONv6X9Q
And from the end of the second concert in Kiev, at the very end of Lara’s encore performance, of Adagio, seen at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHNIPsqxEso
Lara says the following: “I just want to say, one last thing before I leave, I just want to say tonight was a very special night because no matter what, you were here and I was here under all circumstances, thank you, see you very soon, I love you.” This was Lara’s reference to the financial troubles of the promoter that caused the third concert to be postponed, and the second performed without payment.
Related to Lara’s appearance on “La vraie nature”, and Rick Allison, one can hear the complete version of his singing of “Je t’aime” at
hearthis.at/rickallison/je-taime/
And in yet another “Je t’aime” reference, Lara will be on the TV show “Microphone”; here’s the blurb concerning it:
-----------------------------------------------
This week in Microphone: Lara Fabian, Luc De Larochellière and Amylie will rearrange their greatest hits around a microphone.
Appointment Thursday and Saturday at 20 pm on the vibes of Télé-Québec.
-------------------------------------------------
A video of Lara singing “Je t’aime” in a somewhat more jazzy style can be seen at:

A few months ago it was noted that Lara had (re)signed with ‘Musicor’, the big Canadian record label (not related to the American company of the same name). They’ve just released a poster featuring Lara as one of the performers, visible at:
www.facebook.com/Musicor/photos/a.103284493037.92936.86564108037/10155281657758038/?type=3&theater
with the caption, “The family is growing. Our show division is officially launched.” More signs of Lara’s integration into Quebec.
However, Lara’s Belgian roots do keep showing up. Another recent video featuring Lara was her telling about a moving moment shared with François Pirette [in truth] during Télévie; Le Televie is a Belgian charity that raises funds to make progress in the fight against leukemia and cancer in children and adults. The video can be found at:
www.facebook.com/RTLTVI/videos/10156068722457226/
Lara describes a moment shared with Francois Pirette. He is acting like Johnny Hallyday, and Lara is playing the role of (his wife) Sylvie Vartan. Lara calls it a very 70s moment, full of tenderness and humor.
A few weeks ago, it was noted that when Lara was in Florida, she met with Andreea Maria Varlan, a Romanian journalist whose interview was to be broadcast there and in other European countries. That interview is now available, and can be found at:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRoQloUtmj0
In it Lara makes the following points:
**Concerning the show in Miami, Lara said she thought the people seemed very happy, and enjoyed the show very much.
**Camouflage is her favorite song on the album, maybe because it talks about introspection and honesty, and she loves the music, the arrangement, and the depth of the lyrics.
**As to what inspires her, she said for this album she and Moh were just sitting around, playing around, and the melodies just flowed.
**Working with Moh and Sharon was very natural, joyful – she feels blessed.
**Lara warms up at least an hour and a half, and after that she stays silent.
**Instead of speaking, when she's ready, she has a thumbs-up sign with her crew.
**She feels the youtube video of the audience singing On t’aime before she sang Je t’ame is one of her most watched videos, because it triggers a sensation of unity.
**Lara’s Latin roots through her Sicilian mother provides her with the passion and intensity in her music.
**Lara will be in Romania March 29th and 30th; Lara remembers Romania as so warm, even though when she was there previously she was sick (and whispered throughout the concert), yet everybody was so understanding. She was motivated to try to perform by the 4000 people there.
**What part of this tour represents her the most? Lara said there’s a bit of her in each song of the show, as she’s part Chameleon.
**Like every woman, she makes the most of her days (mother, singer, etc.) and she tries to take everything with a lot of simplicity, one day at a time, one responsibility at a time. She also has a great husband who takes care of her daughter, and provides the support that makes her a better person and a better mother.
Lara’s next concerts are in eastern Europe, in Sofia, Bulgaria on March 27th, followed by the two concerts in Romania. This morning she announced that due to the high demand, another concert has been added for Athens, Greece, on May 20th. Even though we’ve heard that there will be additional concerts, in Brazil and in Montreal, this is the only new concert to have been added to Lara’s FB page schedule in quite some time. Lara has said there will be 37 concerts as part of this tour, and this has been repeated several times. So far there have been 10 performed (and the 11th was cancelled). There are now 16 more listed. That would leave 11 more (or 12 if the additional Greece concert is an extra) to be added. It will be interesting to see where and when they will be.

In the coming week we shall see Lara’s appearance on “Microphone”, and the beginning of the ‘Duels’ on La Voix. A teaser for it can be seen at: www.facebook.com/lavoixtva/videos/1602304173198418/ . Lara will be ‘back home’ in Quebec for (almost) the next two weeks, so we may expect more appearances/publicity in one form or another there. A strange schedule she had adopted, bouncing back and forth between concerts somewhere in the world and Montreal, but it does appear to be quite successful, and she seems to be enjoying it so far. Looks like this will be her life for the next few months.
