Several stories vie for top billing this week. Lara’s Team announced that the next single will indeed be “Choose What You Love Most (Let It Kill You)”, and it will be released on September 8th. It will be available on Deezer at
www.deezer.com/fr/track/392664832
and probably many other venues. Furthermore, those who have pre-ordered the album will be entitled to free downloads.
There will also be a music video accompanying it, although, again, whether its release will be on exactly that date we will have to wait and see. And there will be at least one more single, probably shortly before or in conjunction with the album’s release on October 6th.
Although Lara’s beautiful duet with ‘Les Frictions’ from their album ‘Dark Matter’ was made available as a teaser on 6/27, last week was the official release of the album itself. The song, again, is available on many platforms, some free, some not, e.g. (as shown on the LaraFabianWeb site)

The lyrics have been presented once before (News Update 6/27) ; here, apparently, are the official words (https://genius.com/Les-friction-you-always-knew-lyrics), with the small differences from before relating primarily to what was written (shown here) as opposed to what was actually sung:
-----------------------------------------------
You Always Knew
Les Frictions
Out of the clouds
You came to me
Our hearts were always one
My eyes are finally open there's no one's there
You're not there
You were once my church and now I have no religion
With careful hands I set you down
I let you go, you're free now
With careful hands I put you away
I release you
Where there were windows now there's a wall
The future was clear from my view
Now we're inches apart and worlds away
You were always mine and he always knew
He knew
Once in a lifetime we shared a dream
A path divine with shape
But I needed more room when we began to bloom
Love can't be erased
You have seen what you've wished and my feelings you have missed
With careful hands I let you down
I won't let go, stand up now
With careful hands I’ll lead you back home
I need you
Where there were windows now there's a wall
The future was clear from my view
Now we're inches apart and worlds away
I would always go and you always knew
You always knew
You always knew
----------------------------------------------------
Despite it being a duet where Lara doesn’t utter a sound for the first ~2 minutes (1/2 the song), she gets to display her singing very well for that second 2 minutes.
It’s a shame there wasn’t more of them singing together – their voices seemed to blend very well. To the extent that this album, and Lara’s contribution, are noticed by the general media, it is a nice warm-up for Lara’s own album release.
Lara’s people are emphasizing that one subscribe to her official Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/larafabianoff) to receive information about upcoming videos. They’ve placed the video for ‘Growing Wings’ there as well as numerous others, in addition to the audios of many of her songs. You may have noticed that not all the videos or songs are there; it would appear that Lara does not own the rights to provide all of them (e.g., the first English album with Sony).
One can see on that site that ‘Growing Wings’ currently has some 255,000 views. In (an unfair) comparison, the first two video releases from the last French album, (Ma vie dans la tienne), ‘Quand je ne chante pas’ now has 1.5 million views, and ‘Ma vie dans la tienne’ has 3.1 million views. The comparison is unfair since those videos have been out for some two years; ‘Growing Wings’ thus has plenty of time to reach those heights. Only time will tell if it does ("L’oubli", the third release from that album has 272,000 views, so it is not inevitable). The single release of ‘Growing Wings’ has not placed on either the French or Belgian charts.
The LaraFabianWeb site has made available a video for “Growing Wings” with an immense number of screen captures (so much so that it looks like a slow motion version) at
www.facebook.com/larafabianweb/videos/1877653848916808/
and also a reduced set of ‘screen captures’,

They emphasize how beautiful this video is, and Lara’s own dynamic appearance.
An article on the upcoming album and tour appeared in a Vietnamese podcast (http://vi.rfi.fr/phap/20170826-lara-fabian-album-tieng-anh-nhan-vong-luu-dien-moi). Here’s the (google) translation of the accompanying article:

Podcast Lara Fabian releases her English album on the new tour
Tuan Thao
In the French music scene, whenever you mention Lara Fabian's voice, people often notice two objects: enthusiastic fans and bitter haters. In the fall of 2017, Lara Fabian releases a completely new album in English. We do not know this time, if this will take place smoothly or if it will continue to provoke many opposing reactions.
Dubbed ‘Camouflage’, the new music includes 12 English songs, mostly recorded in Stockholm, the Swedish capital. This is the fourth English album to be made in the studio, including the album ‘Every Woman In Me’, which she recorded in 2009, but this album is not widely available.
This time, Lara Fabian teamed up with Måns Zelmerlöw's production team, who won the Eurovision Music Awards in 2015. At that time, singer Måns Zelmerlöw won the championship by combining ingenious expression with video technology through the mapping screen to tell a touching story, simple but poetic. Prior to working with Lara Fabian, he was involved in a recording project for the musical Saturday Night Fever.
The collaboration with Swedish vocalist Måns Zelmerlöw opens new horizons for Lara Fabian. Since the mid-1970s, Stockholm has been known as the cradle of Nordic pop music, after the coronation of the legendary band Abba. Swedish pop has a distinctly different flavor than European pop music in general, made in Germany or in the UK in particular.
In addition to sound, the most striking new feature is probably the visual aspect. Typically a video clip of the song Growing Wings, the first excerpt of Lara Fabian's new English album, all the wild, extremely majestic nature scenes were filmed in Iceland's cold lands. The blue-gray color creates the mysterious aspect of the Camouflage music project, literally meaning "camouflage," the ability to change shape to adapt to the environment.
On this point, Camouflage can be seen as a two-stage expansion project: first, sound stage through the release of a new album and next stage by organizing a tour, enhanced by mapping technology. This will be a brand new feature for Lara Fabian, who regularly performs on five continents.
After the release of the new English language music, Lara Fabian is set to make an international tour in early February 2018 onward, the first being the United States (Miami, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles). Later, Lara Fabian will perform in Russia and the former Soviet Union. From mid March onward, she starts her European tour, visiting Germany, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, and Belgium. It is not until mid-June 2018 that Lara Fabian makes a stopover in Paris, where she is supposed to be on stage at the Zénith Theater. On the schedule of nearly 6 months, the organizers are still spending only a few days in France, and outside the capital of Paris, it is not known whether Lara Fabian will visit other cities.
----------------------------------------------
As we know, there are no plans for Lara to visit other cities in France, for this English language album. In that regard, (still) only 20 venues are currently listed in the ‘events’ section of her FB page or on her URL, even though we also know at least 10 and perhaps 20 more will be added at some point.
A few more articles appeared about the ‘Growing Wings’ video:
www.soundseuropean.com/2017/08/belgium-lara-fabian-growing-wings.html

Pretty much the same idea as the previous ones, but it’s been quite interesting to see all the different countries/languages that are publicizing these releases, again the product of all the work Lara has put in these last 20 years going to different places.
And, speaking of upcoming releases, we now have confirmation that the soundtrack for ‘Cello’, with Lara singing the song ‘Remember Me’ over the credits, will be released September 8th on digital, and September 29th for the CD.
Lara placed a short video on her FB site concerning the song and the film, at
www.facebook.com/cellomovie/videos/710123945838361/
Here’s the transcription: “When I heard “Remember Me”, the first moment I heard it, every word, and every note, resonated with me. You realize that what we’re given is much more precious than we ever could understand. This amazing song really interconnects, in the most poetic way, one question: how do we want to live the rest of our lives when we are affected with a disease like that. And I think that’s entirely personal, and not to be judged in any way, shape or form.“
An article about Lara’s appearance at the Beacon Theater in New York appeared on an international site (http://www.blouinartinfo.com/news/story/2461745/lara-fabian-to-perform-at-beacon-theatre-new-york), in English. It’s copied here:

Lara Fabian to Perform at Beacon Theater, New York
BY BLOUIN ARTINFO
Beacon Theater in New York will witness a live performance by the Canadian-Belgian singer Lara Fabian.
Lara Fabian is the best-selling Belgian female artist of all time and she has sold over and above twenty million records across the globe so far. Her 1994 album ‘Carpe diem’ was a breakthrough in her career. The album went ‘Gold’ for three weeks after its release, and spawned three hit single charts: "Tu t'en vas", "Si tu m'aimes", and "Leïla". In that very year, the album went ‘triple platinum’. Fabian received a pair of Félix awards at the 1995 ADISQ gala for ‘Best Show Of The Year’ and was publicly voted as ‘Best Female Singer Of The Year’. Following the success of ‘Carpe diem’, Fabian signed with the French Polydor label for several albums and ‘Pure’ was among them to reach the platinum status again in less than two weeks after its release in June 1997. The album contains an anti-homophobia anthem entitled "La Différence" and spawned several massively hot tracks like "Tout", "Je t'aime" and "Humana" each of which sold more than a million copies across the world.
She recorded her first English-language album, ‘Lara Fabian’ in 1999, The album debuted at rank one on the Billboard 'Heatseekers' album chart, reached number one on the French album chart and number two on the Belgian album chart. She has also recorded a number of tracks for Hollywood motion pictures, including "The Dream Within" for the ‘Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within soundtrack’, and "For Always" for the ‘AI: Artificial Intelligence’ soundtrack, which contained both a solo version and a duet with Josh Groban.
Lara Fabian is a polyglot and sings in French, Spanish, Italian and English. She has also sung in Azerbaijani, German, Greek, Hebrew, Portuguese, Russian and Turkish.
The concert will be held on February 5, 2018, at Beacon Theater, 2124 Broadway, New York, NY 10023, USA.

In addition, the FB site “Lara Fabian – a Belgian Treasure” posted the link to a video of a short segment of the show ‘Miracle on 34th St”, in which Lara joined Michael Jackson and others on stage; the show took place on 12/19/2000. The youtube link can be seen at
