Lara’s week was dominated by the return of the ‘Ma vie dans la tienne’ concerts in France. The setlist was pretty much the same as for previous concerts, with the primary exception being ‘Razorblade’ performed in Paris with Nathalie (one of the highlights). We have some videos of some of the songs, of varying quality; they are listed below…

An article about Lara’s concert in Bordeaux appeared at (http://www.monbordeauxamoi.fr/archives/2016/10/03/34395024.html) [thanks to the 'Lara Fabian est ton autre' site for the link]. Here’s the translation:
-----------------------------------------------
Lara Fabian - "My Life in Yours", the gratitude of a renaissance
One found her calmer, more in tune with herself, with her feelings and convictions. Basically, she has not changed. She just improved. Her friends have shaped her, the public - constantly present over the years - has enriched and strengthened her. She dedicates to them the first song of her concert, Ma vie dans la tienne, a song originally addressed to her best friend Nathalie. To signify to her fans that they are as good today, her best ally as before, her inexhaustible source of lift in hard times. The backdrop of the stage is illuminated by anonymous portraits alongside the Belgian-Canadian star. A thanks in songs. A gratitude for a renaissance.
During her interpretation of La Difference, the 12 screens project faces that embody diversity. Lara Fabian hugged herself, engaging in a slow dance of peace and assembly, before concluding her song with a statement by Jean Jaurès: "There is only one race. Humanity". One who, as a representative of Luxembourg, finished in 4th place in the Eurovision Song Contest of 1988, then paid tribute to the Swedish group Abba (Money, Money, Money, Dancing Queen, Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! ) during a song recital. A concert that allowed her to distill here and there several songs from her latest album, Ma vie dans la tienne, in stores since November 6. An album composed and written with the help of David Gategno and Elodie Hesme.
"This album is a bit more personal than others," confided Lara Fabian, who added: "It is a collection of declarations of love to my family." Among these, one addressed to her daughter Lou - soon 9 years old - on the piece Le Coeur qui tremble. Or again Le Illusioniste, reference to her magician husband Gabriel di Giorgio. With whom she will perform, a duet with his quasi-hologram, ‘Tu es mon autre’. Some classics (Immortelle, Je t’aime, J’y crois encore), an entraining Quand je ne chante pas, some discoveries (Relève-toi, Elle danse), a dance of reminiscence (I will love again), all the ingredients were gathered Saturday night for a rediscovery of the artist (again) laid bare. The nth curtain call asked for by the public on "Humana". On stage, the letters light up, a message appears: "Myself." The rebirth of a humane person.
-----------------------------------------------
The reviews from fans were equally glowing, even, again, from some who proclaimed themselves initially skeptical, with special notice of how powerful and flexible her voice is now. Lara seems to have it all together for these shows, as we’ve noted for all the previous stops on this tour. It would be a shame if it were not recorded, as memorable as it now appears to be.
In other news, this past week marked the release of a book by Pierre Yves Duchesne called “PY 3.14 The Method” [one can see the 'Pi' symbol on the cover]. He is the founder and director of AICOM [l’Académie Internationale de Comédie Musicale], the first school in France dedicated to musical comedy, for whom Lara is a ‘Godmother’. Since 2008 he has acted as her voice coach utilizing “The Method”, to which this book is addressed. Some pictures of the two of them can be found at:
www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1302821513063400&set=pcb.1302821909730027&type=3&theater
In fact, Lara also did more associated with the school. As presented on the 'Lara Fabian Web' site, Lara was honored at the Théâtre des Feux de La Rampe, “granting time to Aicom students for a privileged masterclass”. Pictures of her there can be seen at:
www.facebook.com/theatrelesfeuxdelarampe/photos/a.804104529731373.1073741851.193610897447409/804104536398039/?type=3&theater
Then going from the future (students) to the past: ‘out of the blue’ Lara posted what appears to be a current picture of herself with Rick Allison, at
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.215378125170359.50343.201065806601591/1252154071492754/?type=3
The accompanying caption read, “The most beautiful of the voyages of life is the one that we take back to the place of our most beautiful stories...”
This of course led some fans to conclude that some sort of collaboration was ‘in the works’, although there is no real indication of that. We know Lara is working with two others on her English album, so there is no obvious place for Rick’s contributions. But the memory of him being associated with many of her best songs remains strong, and breeds hope that ‘one can go back again to the place of one’s most beautiful stories…’.
Lara will be marking her return to the Ukraine with concerts in Odessa later this month (October 18th), and then two shows in Kiev (December 2 and 3). She promoted the Odessa appearance with the following video (thanks to the Lara Fabian Connecting people site for the link):
www.youtube.com/watch?v=afG5NgtUWEU
Lara’s team offered up a commercial for limited edition Lithographs of the ‘Ma vie dans la tienne’ album cover (the first one) from their on-line store (http://shop.larafabian.com/fr/880-lithographies). Here’s their advertisement (which was written in English, interestingly enough…)
--------------------------------------
Now available for pre-order in the online store:
Limited edition LITHOGRAPHS.
Dimensions: 1110 x 1110 (small format )
and 1450 mm x 1450 mm (large format )
Printed signatures of Lara Fabian and Phil Macquet (original signatures on the large format litographs)
Numbered (XLI to C) / Certified.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Phil Macquet painted/produced the digital cover. These are not cheap – the smaller version goes for 950 euros, the larger one for 1900 euros (twice as much, although the area is not 2x as large). The numbering system implies there will be only 40 (perhaps of each). They are obviously to be considered investments…
What is also interesting about this, is that it is probably the first reference to the on-line ‘boutique’ store from Lara’s FB page one can remember, at least in some time. There are various things there from the last two albums (Le Secret, Ma vie dans la tienne), although under ‘media’, only Le Secret CD is available. Lara must have one of the few official on-line websites that doesn’t sell most of her CDs. For example, on the Celine Dion website (www.celinedion.com/music) one can buy, stream or download some 44 different albums, and buy some 13 DVDs. On Bob Dylan’s site, you can buy 66 different albums. Isabelle Boulay has 10 albums available; furthermore, she has links to various on-line record stores, pointing in particular to her latest album. Of course, we’re comparing to Lara’s boutique store, perhaps her official site itself (www.larafabian.com) has more – but no, under ‘discography’, only ‘Ma vie dans la tienne’ is listed (a point we’ve made a number of times before). The ‘video’ link is the only thing on that site that recognizes Lara had a career before her Warner France relationship (and one wonders whether the new English album will be listed on it, given that it apparently is not a Warner property). Also, why is the ‘boutique store’ not at the same web location as the official website? It is for the other singers mentioned here, and I would suspect that’s true for the vast majority of music performers.
One difference may be that Lara has kept changing record companies, but as far as we know, she owns the rights to all her past music. Nevertheless, it is possible that there may be all sorts of corporate ‘strings’ attached to Lara’s products that we are not aware of, limiting what she can do. Overall, Lara’s Team has done a great job in making her FB site a “go-to” location for the latest news, and for that they should be commended. Now they should turn their attention to the official URL - as many potential buyers around the world would naturally think to do - if for no other reason than to help promote and commercialize all of Lara’s music.

16 years before, I listened 15 times a day to a song entitled "Meu Grande Amor" and had shivers whenever it sounded on the radio.
16 years before I adopted Lara Fabian as one of my favorite voices.
Today I got a special treat for me and my colleagues in the AICOM. Not for a concert but for almost an intimate dialogue between "professional colleagues" ... The great singer wanted to generously share her knowledge with us.
Beside her, her teacher, who is also our teacher and founder of the International Academy of Musical.
For a while, he made us all work the exercises that are part of the technique he teaches us.
I shall always thank everyone who helped me to get here and have this kind of experience.
