There was a lot of future organizational news this past week, but we’ll start with the present. The official clip for “Razorblade”, the English/French version, is now available from Natalia’s site – one can find it at

What comes through is how well both women sing. One also can’t help notice the symbolism of them sitting on opposite sides of the table, although at one point they do push candles towards each other. [Their complete separation might also have been occasioned by their height discrepancy]. The single is currently not in the top 50 in Belgium, on either the French or Flemish charts.
Now back to the future: Lara returned from vacation to work on the English album, among other projects, as indicated by the picture she posted on her site

with the caption, “Back to music…week full of beautiful projects to come”.
That left Lara’s ‘team’ to carry the ball, and one must say they have done a very responsible job, responding to all sorts of questions, too many to repeat here. Instead, this is a rundown of what they said:
**”The tour "Ma vie dans la tienne- The concert" will end with a special concert in Brussels (December 17th), and a last concert in France, in Strasbourg on December 18th. There will be no additional dates in France or Belgium beyond the dates already announced (see the list in the section "events" on this [Official FB] page). There will be only additional dates for Quebec and a few other countries.” – Team Lara
**The December concert in Brussels will “be exceptional and have surprises” [we already know Natalia will appear, but presumably something in addition]. It will be different from the other concerts on this tour.
**There is no info on whether a DVD of this tour will be recorded; perhaps not.
**When asked why additional French cities were not included, Lara’s team explained that Lara does not organize concerts. She gets requests from organizers, and tries to fit them in. If there is no organizer, or no room available for a region, then the tour will not go to that area.
They then went on to say, “It's not Lara who organizes concerts, it's a different profession. A concert, at least at the level of an artist like Lara, it's not just "a microphone, sounds control, etc..". But a complex technical and logistical operation, with significant costs. (and no, the decor, it is not "always the artist who provided"). Here is a chart for you to explain the various contributors and sectors o professions, if you are interested,

These are not Lara’s staff, but the myriad professions involved in a tour.
Bottom line: Lara has to be invited, and numerous arrangements made by others for her to give a concert in one’s area.
**In the same vein, in response to a question about the new dates for Poland (to replace the ‘postponed concerts’) Lara’s team continued, “We await confirmation of the new dates in Poland on the part of the organizers.” Team Lara
Note this goes against the general conception that the artist plans the tour. It would appear that the artist plans to go on a tour, but they are to a greater extent than people think at the mercy of local organizers for the details. [I’ve heard this in connection with some other singers as well, but it isn’t always the case – for example, Lara said that when she sang at Carnegie Hall several years ago, she asked her ‘people’ to call up and rent it – which was then done].
**Lara’s team hopes there will be a new international tour in 2017, which will start in February 2017. Its name is not yet available. It will be focused on the English album (hence the album’s name is also not yet available). The tour will include London, the U.S., Brazil, Spain, Germany, etc. And they added, “This new tour is in core in preparation. It's way too early to be able to answer you in relation to such and such city / country…” Team Lara
From these answers one can’t be sure, really, when dates for the international tour will be announced, although often the answer is ‘soon’. However, we should recognize that it’s been a very long time – more than 15 years – since Lara had an international tour with an English album, although she’s been edging that way for awhile [‘Un soir autour du monde’ had as many English language songs as it did French]. This again seems to be another example of her fully embracing her ‘international’ status.
**A question arises as to whether Odacity would still be involved with the new tour as they said, in response to the last News Updates, that Warner France is not associated with the new English album. Lara’s team said “Our team is based on the two sides of the Atlantic, don't worry “.
One can speculate as to which company will be involved in the production of the new English album. Several people have suggested it will be Universal (again); Sony would certainly appear to be much less of a possibility. Lara’s “9 Productions” could very well be involved, but given the recording in Sweden, the two additional songwriters, the involvement of a full tour, it would seem to be a much bigger deal than that [remember Lara self-produced EWIM, which had none of those accoutrements].
**Lara’s team has been careful to add that the ‘beautiful new projects’ Lara is working on will include some French material as well. This was in response to fans questioning that with the current tour ending, and a new international tour shaping up, what will be in it for them. Lara’s team said the new tour would also go to France and Belgium (different from recent practices where, for example, the ‘best of’ tour did not play those countries, perhaps because the music was all well-known).
**Questions were asked about Lara possibly being in the Voice; her team said they had no information about it.
Meanwhile, the Lara Fabian International Page reveals that Lara’s concert in Moscow for November 27th is almost sold out, so a second date for the 28th has been added. According to the information on the ticketing site, it will be the ‘Ma vie dans la tienne’ concert (http://biletmarket.ru/events/49390/Kupit_bilety_Lara_Fabian). And a date for Belarus has been announced, for November 30th, while she is in the area.
In other news, Lara’s team once again went out of their way to emphasize that Lara’s Official FB page was the ONLY one that represented the artist; all others are ‘fan pages’, no matter how official they look – it is the only one with the ‘blue check’ after the name. The particular site they were referencing in this case was "FanPage Lara Fabian" [although it does have ‘FanPage’ right in the title]. There is also a “Lara Fabian – Artist” FB page, which they didn’t specifically mention, but one would think would be even more likely to cause confusion. The same of course applies to this page, and one can see from the occasional comments that people do think this is News from her official site. When the page was first started, in several other locations, Lara did not have much of an interactive site [unlike today!], and ‘updating her news’ was deemed useful; it was thus also useful to call it that. Once having built an audience, one is loathe to change it, although a prudent thing we can do is to include comments like this in response to such wrong assumptions.
Interesting photo of the day is from Lara’s site, epitomizing the ‘Ma vie dans la tienne’ tour, whose end will come this year.

If it is truly not going to be recorded, the videos we have on youtube, and pictures like this, will be the only reminder of it. It will also be one of the few tours not filmed officially in the current age [of course Le Secret was not, but that was due to health issues, and Lara said she regretted that it wasn’t…hopefully she won’t have the same regrets about this one…].
