The news this week was dominated by Lara’s spectacular performances that started off this latest round of ‘Ma vie dans la tienne- the Concert’. The first show was in Geneva. Here are the videos that are available, in this case either on youtube or on Lara’s site:

Lara stopped by a radio station (RTS.ch) to discuss this latest album and accepted congratulations from the host for a ‘fantastic concert, sincere and profound’. When asked about the Swiss public, she said she had respect for them and for their musicality. In recorded statements, the fans reciprocated saying how much they liked this “energetic, marvelous, supernatural, complete, natural artist”.

As for the fans, e.g., ‘Vanessa Borel Miceli’ wrote on the MZ FB site, the following comment: “A nice concert in Geneva tonight, a Lara in shape and on the other hand no change of track list still the same concert no difference with Marseille but it was cool Lara in a good mood with picture before concert.”
Then it was on to the ‘big show’ in Paris. Many wonderful videos (as well as a live streaming broadcast). Here are links to many of the videos:

Obviously, there are many wonderful videos; I’d like to point out in particular the four from “Keke”, indicated by the * - they are as good, sound and video, as one could imagine being shot from the audience. BTW, as shown very clearly on these videos, Lara does not have any apparent concerns about her hearing – several of the songs were quite loud.
A surprise highlight was Lara receiving her ‘Platinum record’ for 100,000 copies, presented by a representative from Warner Records. It can be seen, for example, at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDp5pAbocOI
or from Lara’s own site:

And here’s a close-up picture of it that Lara put on her FB site

with the caption, “Thank you to my French public for this wonderful gift, and for putting Your Life in Mine... I love you..”
One of Lara’s great concerts in Paris. As one can hear she was in fantastic voice, and was highly energized throughout. Fan reviews could not sing her praises highly enough, even those from somewhat normally ‘hard to please’ sites. Lara at the very top of her form!
Acclamation for the concert came from the press as well. Here are some comments

Lara Fabian at the Palais des Congres : We were there!
By Vincent KHENG - June 4, 2016 0 2130
Lara Fabian JustMusic.fr
Currently on tour, Lara Fabian was in Paris last night at the Palais des Congres (Decibels Productions)!
A lot of the audience came to applaud the talented Lara who presented songs from her new album "Ma vie dans la tienne" (always available in stores and on iTunes).
She started her concert with "Ma vie dans la tienne" before continuing with "Le desamour." Lara sang all songs from the opus except "L’illusionniste." She also thought of her most loyal fans by offering her biggest hits like "Immortelle" and "Tue es mon autre" in a virtual duet with her husband Gabriel Di Giorgio, two extract hits from her fifth album “Nue” (2001 ).
We all know that Lara is an artist with a big heart and she supports the LGBT cause. She therefore makes us shiver by interpreting the essential "La difference" in chorus with her fans. We also equally danced with "I will love again," a title that she has emphasized given the opportunity to tour the world.
The singer of "Tout" then realized a dream by offering us a medley of the biggest hits of Abba (The Winner Takes it ll / Dancing Queen / Money, Money, Money / Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After- Midnight)).
The public fell in love with the new song "Non coupable", then "J’y crois encore" and Lara left the stage after "L’oubli."
For the recall, Lara Fabian was unleashed on "Je t’aime” and made the public sing on the chorus. Then Rose-Hélène Chassagne director of her record company "Warner" came to surprise her. In fact, she insisted on offering her a platinum record before her fans for the album "Ma vie dans la tienne." After this moment of joy, the concert ended with "Quand je ne chante pas," the first single from this new album.
The whole room was standing and Lara was joined backstage by shouts and applause! It's always a great joy to attend a concert of such a great artist and Lara Fabian never disappoints when on stage! Remember to take your seats for the Grand Rex as it will be another exceptional show on October 2!
-----------------------------------------------
Those who came to hear Lara were certainly rewarded for their effort, and effort it was. As you may know, there was intense flooding in Paris on the days leading up to the concert, with the Seine close to the level of the 1982 flood (6.5m). Here are several photos from the Lara Fabian Web site, www.facebook.com/larafabianweb/photos/a.247913198557556.83420.246805652001644/1323782157637316/?type=3&theater

There was also a transportation strike going on, and normal Friday traffic – but apparently it was all worth it!
And finally (for this past week) the show in Lyon:

Maybe more videos will show up for Lyon in the next week.
Before the Lyon concert, Lara gave an interview about it (http://www.leprogres.fr/sortir/2016/06/02/lara-fabian-lyon-me-porte-bonheur), translated below:
--------------------------------------------------
CONCERT Lara Fabian "Lyon brings me luck"
The Lyon audience loves Lara Fabian, and vice versa. Full concert this Saturday at the Amphi 3000.
You played in all the rooms of Lyon. Do you have special memories here?
LF: "You know, Lyon is my pilot city. This is where I had my first big success. Scoop Radio was the first radio station to play my first album, and everything started from here. From then, Lyon has always been the cradle of my success. It is a city close to my heart, it brings me luck. "
Why is that?
LF: "I can not tell you. It may simply be luck. Or then, it is this beautiful quality of life that you have here that goes well with the music. Like the way you have made good wine, good food, you provide a great place for music. "
How did you design the show you present Saturday ?
LF: "We started with the arrangements that David Gategno made for my last album. This is a rather pop album, electric enough, sometimes even outright rock, and it has given the mood of the show. The songs that people expect were integrated, but within this musical bias. "
Does it makes you sing differently?
LF: "Yes, you never sing quite the same way, and I'll try to be faithful to the album."
The fact that you had this concern for health with your voice, it forced you adapt?
LF: " Yes of course. Fortunately, today there is such a technology, so sharp and effective that I have no apprehension. I have a technical team of heavyweights, I'm tranquil. "
You dread nothing at the time to go on stage?
LF: "No, I'm just looking to connect with people. That's why we do this job, it goes beyond technique or interpretation, it is the level of emotion. One can be more or less in form, but if people made the effort to come, we owe them this meeting. "

In other news, rumors pop up every now and then about Lara’s possible participation on the French TV version of ‘The Voice’. The latest was from ‘Voici’ (http://www.voici.fr/news-people/actu-people/the-voice-zazie-remplacee-par-lara-fabian-dans-le-fauteuil-rouge-596987), with the comment: “The Voice: Zazie replaced by Lara Fabian in the red chair?” In addition an article in ‘L’express’ (http://www.lexpress.fr/culture/tele/the-voice-maitre-gims-nolwenn-leroy-lara-fabian-qui-pour-remplacer-zazie_1798269.html#sSwMpTxXmLQomBzI.01) indicated that Zazie felt that her schedule had gotten too busy in the coming months, and, as of now, she doubted she would return in September. It went on to say that they were actively looking for a ‘popular woman’, who, in addition to singing, is both a writer and composer, like Zazie. The source indicated that Lara’s name is definitely in circulation – that she is without a doubt qualified and has all the talents to fill the role.
We know Lara has already said she would like to be on the program. The show airs generally from mid to late January through the beginning of May. ‘Lara’s people’ indicated this is the time period she would be in North America [i.e.,’early 2017’], although nothing has been listed on her ‘events’ page. Concerts have to be scheduled anywhere from six months to a year ahead of time, depending on the popularity of the venue, so Lara may have already reserved something for that time. A tough choice – she wants to expand her international career – why else is she working so hard on the new English album? – yet she would undoubtedly love to enhance her popularity in France, which this show would definitely do. Fans writing in also seem split about it. We’ll see what happens; one possibility is that Zazie will not leave after all (she’s only been on for two years, while Florent Pagny has been on for all five, and Jenifer left after four years).
The rumor also included Maurane as a possible choice. However, what is not a rumor: the concert that Lara dropped out of in Montauben on July 10, which had been a two part affair with Maurane being the other artist, has now been completely cancelled due to Maurane's health (http://www.parismatch.com/People/Musique/Maurane-Bientot-l-operation-950149) [thanks to the MZ FB site for the link]. Maurane said that after failing to cure her vocal problems with therapy, she is now going to have an operation on her vocal chords. We wish her well! This might remove her from consideration if a ‘chair’ did open up on The Voice.
Perhaps due to the publicity for Lara’s concerts in France, ‘Ma vie dans la tienne’ jumped up 26 positions to #119 in that country, and two slots to #25 in Belgium.
Lara has a few more concerts coming up on this leg of the tour. She posted a picture of the Palais des Beaux Arts in Charleroi on her FB site
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.215378125170359.50343.201065806601591/1145772732130889/?type=3&theater
with the caption, “Who will be at the Palais des Beaux Arts in Charleroi tomorrow [Tuesday] evening? And at the Forum in Liege this Wednesday? (there are still a some places available for Liege…)
Of course, if floods in Paris weren’t enough, there was just a bad train crash in Liege (http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-36457186), with 3 people killed and 9 injured. Good thing Lara doesn’t get there until tomorrow. The ‘Lara Fabian est ton autre site’ noted that Decibel productions announced both of these concerts in Belgium are now sold out (https://www.facebook.com/decibelsprodDP/photos/a.230309363820152.1073741827.230302117154210/537423813108704/?type=3&theater). Timing-wise they were saying this at the same time Lara’s people were saying Liege was not sold out…best to check if you’re thinking of getting tickets there at the last moment…
There is a new fan page for Lara, called “Laracholics Bulgaria”. It was introduced with a video at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bQhkkBvvIc
and it can be found at: www.facebook.com/Laracholics-Bulgaria-1039179672835862/?fref=ts
Good luck to them!
And that leads to the interesting photo(s) of the week, the first one from that site, at:
www.facebook.com/1039179672835862/photos/a.1039188452834984.1073741828.1039179672835862/1055292854557877/?type=3&theater
wishing Lara and Gabriel a happy (third) wedding anniversary – as we do too!

the picture notes this is related to Lara’s appearance on ‘Sucre Sale’ where speaking of her mother, Lara said, “I have finally accepted that mother has become Louisa under another form and I had to learn to invent a new relationship with a new person”.
And, with an interesting angle, by Diasy Moirot as shown on the ‘Operation Fan Club Lara Fabian’ site, of Lara accepting the award for her platinum album,
www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10209518686624114&set=p.10209518686624114&type=3&theater
After the concert in Liege, Belgium tomorrow night, Lara is off for two and a half months, until August 26th, where she has just added a concert in Çeşme (Izmir) Turkey (https://www.facebook.com/events/293566000982352/). After that she has another month off before a few more dates in France. It may well be that she has other performances during this period – one can’t rule out the ‘New Wave’ festival now that she and Krutoi are back in each other’s good graces. It will once again be held in Socci, Russia, this year from September 3-9, and there is a rumor that Sting may be the headline act (http://www.toinnov.com/news/sting-may-be-the-headline/). Nevertheless, all this free time for the next three months would seem more than ample for working on the new English album. And it’s a good time, too, as these last concerts have indicated how wonderful Lara’s voice is at the moment. Hopefully that will translate into her singing in English, where she has exceled in the past.

Lara Fabian at the Palais des Congres : We were there!

And that leads to the interesting photo(s) of the week, the first one from that site, at:

wishing Lara and Gabriel a happy (third) wedding anniversary – as we do too!

the picture notes this is related to Lara’s appearance on ‘Sucre Sale’ where speaking of her mother, Lara said, “I have finally accepted that mother has become Louisa under another form and I had to learn to invent a new relationship with a new person”.
And, with an interesting angle, by Diasy Moirot as shown on the ‘Operation Fan Club Lara Fabian’ site, of Lara accepting the award for her platinum album,
