Lara’s week began with the last of the concerts in eastern Europe on this leg of her tour, in Budapest. We’ll start with the videos, following the same system established for the previous concerts:

A review of the concert was published at (http://m.nol.hu/kultura/lara-fabian-gyere-maskor-is-1613219) (thanks to the Lara Fabian Web site for the link); here’s a very approximate translation (utilizing various ‘translation’ programs…):

Lara Fabian, come again!
Judit Doros 2016. 27 April
The enthusiasm has a kind of form that one could meet Tuesday in the Budapest Arena for Lara Fabian’s concert, which is different from any seen so far or known for a singer-fan relationship. The Belgian-Italian singer, invited to Hungary for the concert is inherently an admirer of this audience form, as had been reported
before the concert. It was like a family holiday get-together, just with a little bit more than usual. About 5,000 people. As is customary for many family celebrations many people also brought gifts. All members of an Italian group brought a long white and pink filled bouquet. A five year old little girl dressed in Teddy bear angels. At a later stage, however, we see she is named Viktória, she came from Prague with her parents, so she could follow her pet [singer], to cuddle up to her, kiss her face and of course give her another Teddy bear.
A more intimate devotion than usual. “Twenty minutes and you will cry”, says a 20 year old girl dressed in a cool, black leather jacket, and her friends do not object to that but go on and nod. Yes, we’re going to cry, but at least for many, many minutes let us swallow our tears on the inside. When she sings, and her mother’s autumn hair appears in photos flashing past, the last photo being hers, and then blends into their faces. When the song for Lou, her daughter, written about what every mom and dad shared. One could say that this is a kind of girly, sentimental, heart-wringer, but then why do we see in the near and distance people shaken, hard faces soften?
But there is time for a little humor. Black outfit becomes a golden color, and she promises she will not take off any more clothing, accompanied by roles of the eyes. ABBA hits are summarized, starting with what she daydreamed as a little girl, and what she danced as a teenager.
There is also time for more serious songs. That one should be more tolerant and the need for more compassion. Photos of gay couples, elderly people, parents and children in intimate, joyful moments are portrayed under songs that are accompanied by applause. Many people cling to the singing, which is about ourselves, our own best friends, not to be ashamed or feel guilty about why we are what we are, whatever we may be.
These are the first concerts in Budapest for the Belgian-Italian singer, whom a whole world loves, and whom we have only known a few. Ma Vie Dans la Tienne- My Life in Yours, the album grows even more and more direct - say, while we thought that the foregoing was unusually honest and direct, with hope it goes even further. A person naked before us, buttoning her coat and singing for us, so that we may love her.
Because it is impossible not to love.
And as a successful family gathering, in our mind with arms around, the face pressed with two kisses, and I say to her, come home with us, or come again.
----------------------------------------
Again, another winning performance and wonderful review. Fans also wrote in acclaiming the concert and indicating what the unforgettable time they had. As noted in the review, and on the video for ‘Elle danse’, Viktoria from Prague showed up on stage, and Lara displayed her usual patience and empathy for her.
Lara ended this first Hungarian adventure with some beautiful pictures on her FB site,
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/pcb.1119752948066201/1119751784732984/?type=3
and the caption, “Thanks Budapest, this was a wonderful first encounter.. And not the last, that's a promise ! A bientôt”
Other excellent pictures can be found (thanks to Beata Beňová and the Lara Fabian Is Here site) at:

Perhaps the fact that the ‘socially relevant’ portion of the concert has gotten special notice in various reviews encouraged Lara to post notice to the photos being shown behind ‘La difference’ on her FB site:

with the caption, “"La différence".. A song for respect, humanity, equality.. For love .. Accompanied on the tour by the beautiful work of Olivier Ciappa”.
There were just a few additional videos that became available from last week’s concerts:
Cluj
Abba: www.youtube.com/watch?v=sitOZCKZMBU

I Will Love Again: www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3CYsJ8ZIPo

Sophia
L’oubli: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0WJqcsd4xs **
The videos for Budapest, as noted by the number of **s given, were of lower quality than those from Romania (or even Sophia) [although their sound was quite good], emphasizing again what an excellent job Lara’s Romanian fans do. Nevertheless, we're appreciative of each and every one of them.
Lara now is in the ‘resting’ phase from concerts, though as noted last week there is at least one charity-related appearance planned (for next Monday). In general, though, her ‘footprint’ in France has definitely faded during this international portion of her tour, and the new album continues to fall on the charts, dropping 14 places to #62 in physical CDs. In Belgium, it remains at #18. Interestingly, Charts in France, rather than just listing the position of her singles on the charts, also now gives the “youtube views” of the associated official videos. “Quand je ne chante” pas has 945,000, + an additional 463,000 views for the official lyric video; “Ma vie dans la tienne” has 1,510,000, + 502,000 for the lyric video; while “L’oubli”, which has never placed on the singles charts, has 137,000 video views. Welcome to the new metrics!

This coming week, with Lara apparently at home, will include her presentation at the ‘Global Gift Gala’ foundation in Paris, that helps women, children and families around the world; Eva Longoria is the honorary chair, and the founder and CEO is Maria Bravo. This appearance, strangely enough, has not been noted on Lara’s FB site, though it may be by the time of the event (May 9). The next scheduled event according to that site are Lara’s three concerts in Poland, beginning May 23. The excitement and reviews from her four city Eastern European tour have solidified the impression of Lara as a bonafide “International Star” [her self-titled English album is currently #13 in Uzbekistan (!)]. No one could be more deserving…
