The week in music for Lara, at least, revolved around her concerts in Eastern Europe, starting with two in Romania. Lara left a ‘tweet’ on her Twitter page, with a picture and the caption “good to be back in Romania, nice to meet you Cluj”, available at:

Lara gave an interview prior to the Romanian concerts (http://adevarul.ro/locale/cluj-napoca/cantareata-larafabiandesprelegatura-romania-cand-vin-simtca-m-as-revedea-vechi-prieten-locuieste-departe-1_571612135ab6550cb824663e/); here is the (Google) translation:

Singer Lara Fabian, the relationship with Romania: "When I come here I feel like I would revisit an old friend who lives far away"
Singer Lara Fabian holds two concerts in Cluj and Bucharest (Wednesday, April 20 and Friday, April 22). The singer will arrive in Romania shortly before the first concert and will be accommodated at a five-star hotel in downtown Cluj.
Singer and songwriter Lara Fabian (46), who many associate with one of the most famous songs - her "Je t'aime" / "I Love You" reveals in an interview, the "truth" that there are women who continue to inspire, what ritual preparation occurs before each concert and what makes her really happy.
*In an interview talking of women who have helped you to get to be the artist that you are today, what have you learned from each of them?
Lara: We are evolving constantly. There are women who have been an inspiration from the start, even when I was very young. I would start with Maria Callas, then I speak of Barbra Streisand. There are many more. We have created an album called "Tout les femmes en moi" / "Every Woman in Me", which includes versions of songs of these impressive women who have inspired and continue to inspire me. But there are young artists that I find and that I breathe in ... And the list continues to grow. I think you can learn something from each person you meet in life, not just from artists. Just watch, listen and connect the world with it.
*What is more difficult for you: to be a singer or actress?
Lara: Not an actress. I played the video [Mademoiselle Zhivago] and I had the chance to play in Hollywood, but I’m a singer and songwriter (She writes her own lyrics to the songs). In some entertaining videos that have occurred, they were extremely demanding, mentally and emotionally. For me, music is part of my nature, so that things go without saying. Music is a part of me. And when I play a song, I identify emotionally with the story it tells in the song. I guess that is close to what occurs with actors, especially with what they call "method of playing" / "method acting". I'd love to play a role in a movie and received proposals in this regard, but we have not found the right project yet.
*Do you have a message for your fans in Romania?
Lara: I have a special relationship with Romania. It is a special country, far from where I live, yet is very close to my cultural world. The connection established between me and the audience when singing in Romania - especially when speaking in French or Italian - is very close. I feel like ... I can not wait to come to Cluj and Bucharest and to see you again ... I feel like I would revisit an old friend who lives far away, but when we're together, it's as if we had met yesterday.
*A question from a fan in Oradea: what are you thinking when you're on stage and singing one of the most popular songs of yours?
Lara: Each one has something special. I need to get ready before getting on stage. This is why I do not like to grant interviews or to have other activities on the day of the concert. It's about preparing voice in the sense of vocal exercises. I have a coach in this sense that I practice with every day, even on the Internet, Skype. But once on stage, it's not technique, but the connection with the audience ... That makes me do what I do, no thoughts in my mind, but a connection with the audience. That's the magic of music. And each concert is unique, no matter how many we have supported so far.
*You have that piano that your parents gave you in 1987, Santa Claus? Working? Who plays it?
Lara: Yes, I have it. And still play it. But sometimes I sit with my husband and my daughter and sing without an instrument, or just with a guitar. My husband has an impressive voice, he is truly an artist. I grew up with music, all the women in my family sang. I do not mean that in the sense of singing professionally, but at every family gathering singing. Music has been part of our lives and still is. With or without piano ...
*What makes you happy?
Lara: There are many that bring me joy and happiness. An artist's immense joy is to be able to sing, compose and write, but also to support myself in my passion. My family, my husband and my daughter are my greatest source of happiness. Even if you travel a lot due to work, take care not to spend too much time away from them. I could not. Speaking in more general terms, we can find joy and happiness in the simple things in our everyday life: a walk in the park, a cup of tea, a good book ... Small things make us happy and improve morale.
----------------------------------------------------------------
As was the case for the previous concerts on this tour, we’ll list the available videos, with the slight revision that a (somewhat arbitrary) ‘rating’ for the video quality will be provided in the form of ** (two being the highest). As to why the other (relatively complete) versions are included…in some cases the video quality may be low but the audio quality very high, which may be of interest to some (and can even be used to replace the audio on some of the other videos). Again the titles are given in alphabetical order.

Lara Fabian - Avatar of love and light bathes the Palace Hall
On the evening of Friday, April 22, Bucharest residents again had the honor of Belgian singer Lara Fabian’s presence after almost two years since the last concert. In the Palace Hall, the seats were filled to overflowing with love that was manifested by the presence of the singer and the show that was offered complete with musicians and technicians who were there.
All who were present Friday night at the Palace Hall in Bucharest went home with a smile on their face and somewhat lighter heart thanks to the wonderful experience that took part along with Lara Fabian and her musicians. The pleasure of looking around at a lot of people and seeing the gleam in their eyes and the joy that could be read on their face I believe that says more than any review.
The concert production of " Ma vie dans la tienne - Le concert " is a spectacular one, very tidy with ample scenery, projections are relevant to each piece and wonderful light that bathes the audience and introduces it in an atmosphere of a parallel reality. The area gets even more value when it is exploited to its full potential, as was the case for this production for the Royal Palace.
Songs that the audience enjoyed were part of the new album released by Lara at the end of 2015 - " Ma vie dans la tienne" , and more. Small gifts for spectators were songs ‘I Will love Again’ and of course, the long-awaited ‘Je t'aime’ which came at the end. Another very nice gift full of energy was a medley of Abba songs that Lara offered us dancing with joy, energizing the audience which was still at high levels of enthusiasm.
The devotion of fans to the singer was again demonstrated by members of the fan club Lara Fabian, who before the concert placed on each seat one flag and a bright bracelet alongside urging them to be used at Lara’s stage entrance to create a supportive atmosphere and love for her. Fans were present throughout the concert, getting to their feet repeatedly to dance, waving banners that read "Romania loves you" and giving the singer countless flowers
Analyzing the concert emotionally, from the prevailing side as to its impact on the public, it was fascinating to observe how huge an impact a show may have where it has a sincere intention and clearly when a strong person and an open heart are on stage giving love. Lara Fabian is an avatar of love , and her mission is to open people's hearts voice with her music. We were sitting and observing experiences throughout the interior parts and also enthusiastic reactions of everyone in the audience and understanding what effect can be had in huge concert halls and why they are filled to the brim in the presence of certain artists. Lara is seen as a goddess that people admire and worship, observe how she gives them energy and love without hesitation, and is rewarded with countless offerings of flowers.
The climax of the concert was when Lara returned for the encore and sang alongside instrumentalists her much-loved song ‘Je t'aime’. Waves of energy and light flooded the room, certainly manifested through various inner experiences of every member of the audience. One thing I can say honestly that was one of the busiest times of shivers in my history as a concert music journalist. I could compare it with a rest room light when I was completely bathed, a rest room that went up to heaven and we were all high for a few days afterward.
At the end of the concert, Lara thanked all the people involved in the production of this show, from musicians, to director and technicians, making us realize that behind them it's a huge team work that makes it possible to experience what we lived through.
In one of the little speeches that Lara kept giving throughout the concert, she said a very important thing that I would like to conclude with, that we all have difficult moments in life, and at this time we often seek love outside ourselves, from others, we expect them to give us love, with infinite resource when in fact there it is in us and we need to find it there first. This is the intention behind the music of Lara Fabian , to provide a catalyst for inner love retrieval of each of those who listen. So be it!
------------------------------------------------------------
One of the all-time great reviews – Lara should post it on her wall.
Concerning these concert videos, one must say that many of them are truly exceptional. Special mention must be made of the work of ‘Monique R’ (see all her videos at www.youtube.com/user/moniquelfrfc/videos).
Time and again we’ve learned that Lara’s Romanian fans are special, and their preparation and reaction for these were just another example. If Lara ever again does a DVD in a ‘foreign’ country, it should definitely be in Romania!
And then it was on to Sofia 4-24-16

The fan FB site (Lara Fabian – artist) posted links to some reviews of Lara’s concert in Sophia. Here are (Google) translations of them, the first from (http://fakti.bg/kultura-art/183929-angeloglasnata-lara-fabian-vzrivi-publikata):
-----------------------------------------------------
Angel Lara Fabian wowed the audience
Kalina Petrova
Angel Lara Fabian again blew away the Bulgarian audience with her latest album "Ma vie dans la tienne" / note: My life is in yours/. Her fans in Hall 1 of NDK were blown up by heartfelt parting ballads in French, which speak of love - the mother, the daughter, interwoven with family, friendship, kindness, tolerance.
The show began with a huge "Sorry" by the Belgian, who had not forgotten her fans in Sofia and throughout the concert "threw" her heart to them.
"My stories are your stories" was the simple explanation that Lara Fabian said before presenting one of the new pieces. The world-famous star again caressed the audience with her voice, they rewarding her in turn constantly with bouquets and applause. While strutting back and forth her voice was broadcast in natural, yet majestic fashion. And while the songs and strangers left trace on each other, they came to together to retrieve "Je T'aime". "Je T'aime" one another.
Totally transformed, left in the past was the melancholy and embracing smile and dance - so Lara Fabian saw her second concert in Bulgaria. Surprisingly the worldly Fabian included a "bunch" of greatest hits of ABBA and showed that she can really be flawless in every genre. The Winner Takes It All, Dancing Queen, Money, Money, Gimme, Gimme and dancing style ABBA seemed a natural extension of this disco spectacle.
An encore proved that this show is not like the others, which began with 'Je T'aime' and ended with 'Je suis malade' (I am ill.). This time everyone sang the final 'Je T'aime', a special gift to the audience was the message ‘Quand je ne chante pas’ (When I can not sing. ed.), in which the Belgian tells of the little joys in life.
For an hour and a half viewers were in the magic of the beautiful singer who again proved to be a great, magnificent artist and listening to the text of her songs - and a great person.

Transformed Lara Fabian abandons melancholy
Totally redrawn, leaving in the past melancholy, and embracing smile and dance - so Lara Fabian saw the Bulgarian audience in Hall 1 of NDK only two years after her last concert was canceled due to illness of the singer. The show began with a huge "Sorry" by the Belgian, who had not forgotten her fans in Sofia and throughout the concert "threw" them her heart. A concert in which Lara showed her other face - more percussion and guitars, French text, making things sound completely different. The singer flooded the hall mainly with new songs in which love again came first, but this time focusing on its various forms - to mother to daughter and tolerance towards homosexual love. "It’s all I will undress on stage," joked Lara Fabian, while the guitarist helped her to wear a silver jacket to transform a few pieces of Abba. The Winner-Takes it All, Dancing Queen, Money, Money, Gimme, Gimme and with the dancing style of ABBA seemed a natural extension of this disco spectacle…[The rest is similar to the article above].

Finally, from (http://www.standartnews.com/kultura-koncerti/lara_fabian_razkri_dushata_si_v_sofiya-330908.html)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Lara Fabian revealed her soul
Lara Fabian gave a spectacular show in Hall 1 of NDK on Sunday evening. Her concert in Bulgaria was part of the promotional tour for her album "Ma vie dans la tienne". The Belgian-Canadian singer was transformed - there was no trace of the melancholy image of the scene years ago. Just 1 hour and 30 minutes further showed her as her smile captured the stage. The performance began with her great "sorry" : in 2014 the singer had problems with her concert in Sofia because of her health. Now Fabian captivated the audience with songs from her latest album, with songs to her mother, her daughter and tolerance towards homosexuals.
She also executed and danced some of the biggest hits of "ABBA". For this purpose the guitarist helped her put on "golden" jacket, and she joked that it was all she would undress on stage. Unlike her previous performances, which began with the iconic "Je T'aime", this time it finished with it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Also while in Sofia, Lara got to fulfill the “dream” of a young singer Jacqueline Tarakchi who was participating on the show “Bulgaria’s Got Talent”. Apparently Lara is her favorite singer, and she got to meet her, as can be seen in this heart-warming video (thanks to the ‘Lara Fabian est ton autre’ site for the link):
talant.btv.bg/video/videos/season-5/da-se-dokosnesh-do-idola-si.html
Fan reviews were equally as positive as those in the press. Lara’s current upbeat infectious attitude, in combination with her singing, is an unbeatable combination .
The concert format itself and the setlist was what was displayed in Belgium and France, although this is the first time we’ve been exposed to them outside of the Francophone countries. So it was interesting to note how Lara handled this “almost all French” concert before an audience that she believed to be not overly conversant with the language. Her approach was to speak often in English, to inform the audience of points they might not understand from the French songs, and to thank them for coming anyway. This was particularly notable with reference to ‘L’oubli’. Other points of interest…Lara is really “kicking up her heels” on ‘Ton desir’, and put a video on her website of her doing so (from the concert in Sophia, one of several live concert videos she posted). Also, the version of ‘I Will Love Again’ is definitely no longer the ‘acoustic’ one she toured with last year – indicative of her increased confidence in her health. Her spoken intro to “S'il ne reste qu'un ami”, about the need to find solace first inside ourselves (e.g., www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RUfwHsv_Ng), was her homage to the concepts in ‘Le Secret’. All in all, Lara maintained her great composure and voice, appearing to be having a wonderful time. She is certainly at a good place in her life.
In contrast…obviously the big news in the music world this past week was the passing of Prince. Various sites have pointed out that he appeared on a show dedicated to Lara, “Tout Lara Fabian”, back in November of 1999. He performed a song entitled “The Greatest Romance Ever Sold”, and a video including a portion of it can be seen at:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zY8JmD454g
or
lci.tf1.fr/france/moment-culte-sur-tf1-quand-prince-fait-le-show-pour-lara-fabian-8735620.html
‘Caroline Ribeiro Gilly’ on the MZ FB site said (in translation), “I had attended the recording of this broadcast. It was very good! On the other hand, Prince had wanted to record without an audience”. That would certainly be consistent with his private persona. It is interesting that Lara had no message (that I saw) concerning Prince’s passing on her sites.
Other news, back in the Francophone world, Lara will be one of the performers at the ‘Global Gift Gala’ in Paris, which is already sold out (https://twitter.com/hashtag/GGFPAR16?src=hash). It will be May 9th at the Four Seasons George V hotel in Paris. The Global Gift Foundation is associated with Eva Longoria, and others appearing include Charlie Winston, Stooshe and Sacha Perez. In additional ‘charity’ developments, the ‘Operation Fan Club Lara Fabian’ site noted that Lara’s auctioning of her ‘gold record’ for Le Televie on BelRTL went to 13,000 euros (https://www.facebook.com/OperationFanClubLaraFabian/photos/a.674006339373232.1073741828.673991206041412/949638085143388/?type=3&theater).
The ‘new’ album continues to slip on the charts, having dropped from 55 to 69th in total sales (38 to 48 for physical CDs) in France, and from 8th to 18th in Belgium.
Apparently Lara’s album is getting regular airplay in Montreal (thanks to Josh for the info).

The last concert of this ‘segment’ of her tour will take place in Budapest, Hungary tonight (4/26). We may expect videos from this show, and perhaps some additional ones from the last three concerts, in the coming week. After that Lara has a break from touring for about a month, before continuing on in Poland, although we may expect occasional appearances in France and Belgium (like the charity event) in the intervening period. Considering her recent trip to Montreal as well as these eastern European countries, Lara has to be delighted with her ‘international’ reception so far.
