Lara had some more media appearances this past week, indicated separately below.
**She had a ‘surprise’ appearance on "N'oubliez pas les paroles", on France 2. Two participants were to sing Lara’s song ‘J’y crois encore’, and while performing, unexpectedly (to them) Lara showed up joining in, to their astonishment. The three sang the rest of the song together. It was a delightful – and very well done – performance by all concerned, and it brought a smile to every face. The video is available at

and also,

**Lara’s role as ‘godmother’ of the ‘Little Dreams’ foundation in Belgium was the subject of a short interview on ‘C’est du Belge’ on RTBF, visible at:
www.facebook.com/353946178085395/videos/780035115476497/
As you may remember, it was founded in 2000 by Orianne Collins Mejjati and Phil Collins, and its mission is to fulfill the dreams of young talents within Music, Art and Sports. Lara has appeared at some of its events.
**Lara was the subject of “A Look Back” ("Dans le rétro") on France Bleu radio. In a wildly rapid interview she reminisced about her days with ‘Je t’aime’, spoke of her family, etc. with the host Deborah. She was asked her impressions of several French singers, Zazi, Zaz, Helen Segara and Mireille Mathieu; Lara had appropriately complimentary things to say. It can be heard at:

**Her interview in the Canadian publication ‘7 Jours’ has now appeared; the cover is available at:

with the accompanying blurb:
"Her daily life, her love for her daughter, her passionate love"
"Lara Fabian is back in the spotlight with the release of the 12th album of her career, 'Ma vie dans la tienne'. The singer is happier than ever, and she engaged in an open hearted discussion about her daughter, her husband and her daily life in Belgium. All accompanied by numerous personal photos of the star! This is a great window into the intimate life of the one who has always had a special place in the heart of Quebecers".

Here is a translation of the interview (there are also a number of nice pictures):

Happy in her New Live
My true happiness, it is cooking, discussing or laughing with my daughter…
Even with 20 million albums sold, an exultant career, and the aura of a star,, Lara Fabian leads the daily life of a Woman of the World. She left Quebec in 2004 and lives today in her birthplace Belgium alongside her husband, the magician Gabriel di Giorgio and her daughter, Lou, but she returns punctually to our beautiful north province. While she promotes her new album, ‘Ma vie dans la tienne’, she opened up openheartedly on the way she combines her roles of mother, wife and, of course, artist.
By Michele Lemieux
Lara, you lost hearing during many weeks in 2013, after a technician accidentally sent sound of 1000Hz into your ear. How are you today?
LF: It is no more than a bad memory. Personally, I never believed that it was the end and that this event was going to destroy my life and my link to music. I hung in and I wanted to reverse all the prognostications. I was so positive that I would succeed in leaving this situation much more rapidly than everybody believed. During a certain period, I lived in silence, for every sound was an aggression. It was impossible for me to go to a restaurant, a movie theater, a show…Every source of noise created an immediate deafness, as if my ear closed itself off to protect itself. It is in silence that I found some extraordinary responses and that I have written my last album. Now that I am reestablished, I have the feeling of having a second chance. I thank my entourage, who were extremely important in this healing.
A propos of your new album, the song ‘Quand je ne chante pas’ opens a door on your personal life. Despite the celebrity and the glamour that surrounds you, you lead a life truly like all other women?
LF: Yes. One can live some incredible things when one does this metier, but, when I enter my house, I have my daughter cry “Mama” and I have a husband who waits for me and who wants to speak of his day. I’ve remained a simple woman, and it is very much thus. I don’t have to choose between work and my private life, they are phases, and I love them both. But it will always be my family first! All the women and men lead this running a race against time and trying to reconcile the two sides of their existence.
What do you do when you don’t sing?
LF: Many things. I cook, I go to the bank, I clean my car, I go to buy a book, I receive my friends, I go to eat in a restaurant everyone is speaking of and where I still haven’t had the occasion to go, I go to see a film that everyone has seen except me, for I was traveling…I do things quite banal like everybody.
Lara Fabian can she truly go to the grocery like everybody?
LF: There where I live (in Waterloo, in Belgium), it is truly not a problem. In the beginning it created a little emotion, and I had to sign 500 autographs for the employees of the supermarket, but the people now are accustomed to seeing me.
Have your arrived at going out with your husband and your daughter without being bothered?
LF: Belgians are like the Quebecois, they have an immense respect for the intimacy of artists. I happen to be in line at the cinema with my love and hear murmurs behind my back: “Leave her in peace, she is with her chum!”. I then tilt my head and take a ‘selfie’. It is very agreeable to live in Belgium, as it was to live in Quebec. I feel the same respect, the same sweetness, the same detachment as here.
Are you going to look for schools for Lou, in discount bulletins, at year end shows?
LF: Of course! I cannot imagine that somebody else is going to look for my daughter. She gets help with her homework after school, and I bring her a sandwich that I’ve prepared myself. I am only a mother; that’s not anything extraordinary!
Do not tell me that you also do household chores?
LF: I go running around and I cook. On the contrary, the house is maintained by a person who is henceforth part of the family.
You say in one of your songs that women must know how to do everything. Is this your case?
LF: No, but it is a manner of speaking that men and women must work, cook and take care of children…We haven’t any other choice but to multitask. Personally, I have a lot of help. I have a chum who is particularly present; my parents and the father of my daughter are also there. I can ask my chum to go look for Lou at her father’s and take her a week with him when I am on tour. I am surrounded by people hyper-welcoming. These harmonious relations are essential for children.
Are you a mother hen?
LF: I am hyper-protective, hyper-present, hyper-hen! Lou will be eight years old, she is still quite small. It is a beautiful age…
You miss her when you are far from home?
LF: I’m never gone for more than six days, except for voyages. My daughter then spends the week with her father, but she is never separated from one of her two parents more than six days. Otherwise, it would be unbearable. When I am far away, we speak by Skype. I would not be able to deal with it if I had to spend three weeks without seeing her!
Have you officially renounced having a second child?
LF: I have no response to this question. It is difficult for me to say yes or no to a second child. It remains something open; I have not closed the door completely. But here, now, it isn’t possible. Is that what it will be in two years? We will see…
You’ve been married for two years. Do you consider yourself lucky to have met your husband?
LF: It is a great gift that one never expects. My grandmother never stopped repeating to me: “If you exist, the other exists”. For if a being exists, her half must strongly also exist. It is like the half of an orange. When I met Gabriel, it was evident that he was my ‘other’, my half. Fundamentally, we resemble each other to 99%. He knows my least beautiful sides, but he loves me nevertheless. It is that, love: someone who knows you very well and who loves you nevertheless...Someone who welcomes you, you learn and you listen. I have this luck. I was never married, it is the first time.
Have you the time to consecrate a friendship?
LF: The piece ‘Ma vie dans la tienne’ accurately recounts the story of the friendship of 28 years with my friend Nathalie. Thanks to the technology of today, one can send anyone a message in less than a second, even if one is at work. One can rapidly make contact with the people whom one loves.
Despite your obligations, you have time for yourself?
LF: Honestly? Not enough. We say that the manicure happens after all the rest! I eat well, I do everything that is necessary to be in good health. The woman who I am, it is at the same time wife, mother, singer…When I see my daughter happy, it is my greatest joy. My true happiness, it is cooking, discussing or laughing with my daughter. When she sings loudly in the car, it is one of the beautiful moments that the woman that I am has seen through motherhood.
Have you maintained a link with Quebec; have you still some friends?
LF: Yes, part of me has never left Quebec. I didn’t leave because I wanted to, but rather because I had to do it. It remains my greatest sorrow. There were very difficult things to live, I had no other choice but to return there where I was born, there where I could find some comfort. But my link with Quebec remains intact. It plunges me sometimes into a great nostalgia. Moreover, I continue to look for a house in Quebec, for some real estate sites. I have a desire to return one day or another.
Your husband has seen it and likes Quebec?
Yes, he adores Quebec! At least once per year I come for love, without telling anyone. I have many friends whom I am close to and whom I continue to love.
[And then a comment on the album]:
A return to the source.
The last album of Lara, in stores since November 6th, is called ‘Ma vie dans la tienne’. In the opinion of many, it expresses a sort of return to her sources. “It is an album written without filters", Lara says to us. “It is a multitude of declarations of love to transmit. The people tell me that the new songs resemble those thanks to which I was loved. It is the most tender thing that I’ve heard…’Ma vie dans la tienne’ was written for my friend Nathalie, ‘Le Coeur qui tremble’ for my daughter. ‘L’illusionniste for my husband and ‘L‘envie d’en rire’ for my family. ‘L’oubli’ treats the loss of oneself, while ‘Ton desir’ is a more festive piece.” With this new work the singer makes us live a mass of emotions and truly invites us to enter into her privacy.
-------------------------------------------------------
Too bad Lara didn’t also inform them that one of the bonus songs was about her love for Quebec.
**Lara also was interviewed in ‘Pure People’ (thanks to the Lara Fabian & Emmanuel Moore site and Lara Fabian Italy for the link) (http://www.purepeople.com/article/lara-fabian-quelques-kilos-en-trop-et-un-souvenir-d-enfance-traumatisant_a169136/1). Here’s the translation:

Lara Fabian: A few pounds too much and a memory of a traumatic childhood
In an interview for "Le Parisian magazine", on newsstands this week, the French singer, who at one time suffered from anorexia, returned to a reflection about a dance teacher when she was little ...
When she is finally back in stores, Lara Fabian multiplies the interviews as part of the promotional tour for her new album, ‘Ma vie dans la tienne’.
The French singer, 45, who suffered a forced and prolonged absence after a hearing shock that caused her many problems, said in an interview with journalists of Le Parisian that "not to take seriously is the key to healing". She assured after having long been "very first degree" and bad "to react to the slightest jibe" thrown at her.
To illustrate this, the singer of ‘J’y crois encore’ told a traumatic story about her childhood. She was still a child full of hope, dreaming of becoming a ballerina when she went to a ballet class where she got nastily snubbed by her teacher: "You really think that one day someone will be able to lift you?" he has asked ...
A reflection that the mother of Lou (8 years old) had trouble cashing - which is understandable. "It's true that I had a few extra kilos at the time, but these words really hurt me. So, I completely stopped dancing", she added. Instead of starting a diet, the singer who married the magician Gabriel di Giorgio two years ago, therefore preferred to give up her dreams and try her luck in another domain. A blessing in disguise, as if she had made a career in dance, we might have been deprived of this marvelous musical repertoire that the singer offers us since the beginning of her career.

Lara has often spoken about her recent hearing injury as ‘a blessing in disguise’, for it forced her to reconsider her life and her music. Well, here was another one…perhaps one can see a pattern [maybe for all of us ]. As emphasized once again in the following article…
**And from ‘I So Gossip’ (http://www.isogossip.com/lara-fabian-offre-ma-vie-dans-la-tienne-a-ses-fans-10548/) [again thanks to the Lara Fabian & Emmanuel Moore site for the link], here’s the translation:

Lara Fabian offers us a new exciting album
by Christelle Manzatti
Lara Fabian is currently touring on TV stages to present her latest album entitled ‘Ma vie dans la tienne’, after a long absence for health reasons. The singer of the voice so pure was also the guest of ‘Cinq Dernieres Minutes’ of the JT France 2 on Tuesday 1 December. For nearly two years, Lara Fabian could not sing like she knew to do so well before. Following an accident during a concert, the Belgian lost hearing for several weeks, preventing her from continuing her career as would have been the case. "I had an accident on stage and it is human error, here. It happens. I lost my hearing almost entirely for weeks. There was a very long convalescence. For almost a year, a year and a half, I really have done things quite normally, but it is within this space of strange silence, that I have called the 'evil wrapped gift ', which renews one with the essential", said Lara Fabian. Fortunately she was able to count on the unconditional support of her husband, Gabriel Di Giorgio during this recovery. Love above all for Lara Fabian. Invitee of ‘Cinq Dernieres Minutes’ of the newscast of France 2 on Tuesday December 1, she has again unveiled one of the last songs of her latest album ‘Ma vie dans la tienne’. "This album is the joy the pains we all know somewhere and that interconnect us. These are great declarations of love to my husband, my daughter, but it is not important for whom it could pass. In fact, they are declarations of love to transmit", she told the journalist Elise Lucet.

**Lara’s site provided the link to photos from the ‘Lara Fabian & Emmanuel Moire: LE duo’ site of her preparing a meal for her family. They can be seen at:
www.facebook.com/LaraFabianetEmmanuelMoireLEduo/photos/pcb.983985701668023/983985538334706/?type=3&theater
**And a whole host of photos from Lara’s album signing at the Media Markt in ‘Braine-l-alleud’, Belgium have now been made available, at:
blog.mediamarkt.be/braine-l-alleud/2015/12/02/les-photos-de-la-venue-de-lara-fabian-sont-arrivees/
**There was a contest as to whose songs would be featured on the RTL broadcast "Stop ou encore", and, with fan support, Lara won! ‘Tout, ‘Quand je ne chante pas', and 'Tu est mon autre' were played.
**The FB site ‘Anges du bout du monde’ has an extract of Lara’s appearance on M6 Sunday morning, at:
www.facebook.com/AngesDuBoutDuMonde/videos/526806020828204/
She once again explained the method of using the expanded potential of her 'album cover'.
**Lara did not appear at the recording of the show on TF1 ‘Bercy fête ses 30 ans”. An advertisement for it featuring Lara’s picture, was posted originally on the ‘Anges Du Bout Du Monde site’ (https://scontent-lga3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/v/t1.0-9/12308822_10207118942603375_6582618108297757407_n.jpg?oh=8d59ca5cf9f7401551882827fa9db6f9&oe=571BC5F1) [thanks to the LFIAG Select site for that link], and TF1 itself had announced her presence via photos of those participating. When the question was asked on Lara’s site whether she would in fact be there, her ‘team’ answered ‘No’. It’s possible she never really agreed; or became unavailable; or just changed her mind (as Helene Segara and Patrick Fiori were there). The show had 4.3 million viewers (23% of the audience).
In other news, on the charts, Lara’s new album has remained almost stationary, having fallen from 18th to 19th in France, (in total sales, physical + digital) and from 5th to 6th on the Belgian charts. As can be seen by the comparisons provided last week, that is now a better showing than the album ‘Le Secret’ achieved. A relatively positive development! While the actual number of sales is not yet out for France, we can expect it will have passed the 30,000 mark after one month.
In some not-positive news, Lara had this comment on her site:
“I've come to learn that the exhibition "imaginary couples", of Olivier Ciappa, celebrating love, for which I have posed with Eva Longoria, was vandalized and destroyed in Toulouse...The fight against homophobia is unfortunately not over...”
The desecrated picture can be seen at:
www.facebook.com/ciappa.olivier/photos/a.1156884060991022.1073741875.124526830893422/1157269460952482/?type=3&theater
while a variant of it, undamaged, can be seen on Lara’s Twitter site, at:
twitter.com/search?q=Lara%20Fabian%20Official&src=typd
She also included the plea by Olivier Ciappa (https://www.facebook.com/ciappa.olivier/photos/a.1156884060991022.1073741875.124526830893422/1157269460952482/?type=3&fref=nf) to have people alert the press, both local and national.
An article concerning this appears in (http://people.toutelactualite.net/lara-fabian-elodie-frege-audrey-pulvar-en-colere-elles-soutiennent-jenifer-sur-twitter/). Here’s a (translated) portion of it:
-------------------------------------------------
This weekend, the exhibition [by Olivier Ciappa] installed on the gates of the Grand Rond garden in Toulouse, was vandalized. Far from remaining silent, he expressed his anger on Twitter. " I need your help. The Toulouse Exhibition has just been destroyed by six violent youths who refuse that we “promote this lifestyle".
Then Jenifer expressed her anger on Instagram in affirming that she was "proud and determined", and the celebrities who have posed for the exhibition of Olivier Ciappa kept supporting the singer and artist on the social networks. While Roselyne Bachelot, determined, posts her (photo) negative on Twitter, Lara Fabian and Elodie Frégé confirm that "the fight against homophobia is not over". Far from discouraging these artists, Audrey Pulvar explains that “Stupidity has some beautiful days before it, but we are also resistant".
---------------------------------------------
Note that this was not only an example of homophobia; the pictures also included people in wheelchairs, etc. Of course, all it was doing was making a (hateful) statement – the negatives for the photos, and thus the real photos themselves, still exist. In fact, Olivier Ciappa wrote on Lara’s Twitter site that “The photos will be reprinted in a few days and displayed alongside those destroyed”.
In an interesting development, Lara’s people are now posting all their FB message (for the last several weeks) on Lara’s official URL (www.larafabian.com). In particular they’re advertising “the exclusive video and unprecedented previews of her film 'Un soir autour du monde' at La Géode and the Grand Rex in Paris”, which you can access after registering. [You can also see the video on the Lara Fabian & Emmanuel Moire: LE duo site, www.facebook.com/LaraFabianetEmmanuelMoireLEduo?fref=ts].
So...after several years of essentially abandoning that site, they now want to make it equally relevant to the FB one. It’s true that in the form these messages are placed, it is a bit easier to access the range of them on the URL. Now – if only they would update the ‘Discographie’ section to include all her previous albums, rather than having just the latest one…
Lara is very slowly expanding her concert dates, adding another for March 25th, in Tours. A complete listing as of the moment is shown on Lara’s ‘events’ page (https://www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/events ). Note for some shows tickets are still not being sold.
Interesting photo(s) of the week:

-And the ‘Lara Fabian Voice of Passion’ site updated their cover photo with a glamorous picture of Lara, at:

Lara has some more promotional appearances coming up later in December, among them ‘Le grand Blind test’ on TF1; ‘C'est votre vie de Patrick Sébastien’ on France 2; ‘Salut les terriens' on Canal +; and possibly ‘Miss France’ on TF1. Ironically, a number of these may be broadcast on the same night (December 19th). She just recorded "Vendredi tout est permis" to be shown on TF1 December 31 (it was originally supposed to be recorded last month, but was postponed due to the terrorist attack). We can probably expect the promotional blitz to tamper down after this month, so let's enjoy it while we can!
