Lara continued to provide updates on her FB site of her daily activities; she now seems to be fully ‘into it’. Her week included being at the studio, putting what she called ‘finishing touches’ on her new album, as she reported along with an appropriate ‘selfie’,
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.622966977744803.1073741829.201065806601591/978709695503861/?type=1&theater
and on Twitter, an alluring photo with the caption, ‘listening’,
This also explains why Lara was ‘on the road to Paris’ at the end of last week. And, in effect, it partially answers the question as to as to whether the delay in releasing the album until November was due to its simultaneous release with the Prague concert movie, or because the album was not completely finished. (Of course, maybe given that release date, they may have been in no hurry to finish it).
She then completed the ‘trip’ with a ‘ghost-like’, returning home ‘selfie’,

Lara also posted a picture of herself with Marc Levy, whose book ‘Elle et lui’ she used as a prop in her recent video for ‘Quand je ne chante pas’,
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.622966977744803.1073741829.201065806601591/978117185563112/?type=1&theater
On ‘Twitter’, he thanked her for that, with the comment, “Dear Lara, A big thank you. I am very touched.” ()
Over the weekend, Lara and Gabriel went to the premiere of ‘Amaluna’, the new ‘Cirque du Soleil’ show in Brussels. Here is the show’s synopsis, according to their website (https://www.cirquedusoleil.com/en/shows/amaluna/show/about.aspx):
---------------------------------------------------------
Amaluna invites the audience to a mysterious island governed by Goddesses and guided by the cycles of the moon.
Their queen, Prospera, directs her daughter’s coming-of-age ceremony in a rite that honors femininity, renewal, rebirth and balance which marks the passing of these insights and values from one generation to the next.
In the wake of a storm caused by Prospera, a group of young men land on the island, triggering an epic, emotional story of love between Prospera’s daughter and a brave young suitor. But theirs is a love that will be put to the test. The couple must face numerous demanding trials and overcome daunting setbacks before they can achieve mutual trust, faith and harmony.
----------------------------------------------------------
Any similarity to ‘The Tempest’ is purely coincidental! Of course, for those familiar with their performance, the story is the least part of ‘Cirque du Soleil’s acrobatic presentations. The show will also eventually go to Paris, London and Amsterdam.
Photos included Lara and Gabriel in front of a sign for the show,

and there are a number of other photos of the same nature on the ‘Lara Fabian est ton autre’ site, at:

also includes, in the following pictures, views of other celebrities who attended the event.
‘Cirque du soleil’ responded by retweeting Lara’s photo, with the comment, “Our #Amaluna #Premiere night in #Brussels just wouldn't be the same without @lfabianofficial! #RedCarpet #Rodeloper” [https://twitter.com/Cirque?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor]

At the end, Lara tweeted that the show was ‘magnificent’ [https://twitter.com/search?q=Lara%20Fabian%20Official&src=typd]
Moving on, Lara then noted, with another ‘selfie’, that she went to a ‘nice small restaurant’ in Brussels,
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.622966977744803.1073741829.201065806601591/981454685229362/?type=1&theater
In response, fans posted suggestions as to what she should eat there. However, the outfit in the picture raised enough concern that her ‘team’ felt obligated to post the following statement: “Just to clarify; Lara does not wear real fur, it's synthetic. Have a great Sunday! Team Lara”.
On Sunday, Lara posted a Rosh Hashanah “Happy New Year” photo, with the caption, “Happy New Year to all my Jewish friends!” at:
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.215378125170359.50343.201065806601591/981873931854104/?type=1&theater
A number of Jewish fans, including some Israelis, thanked her for the sentiment. It was also greeted by questions from Lara’s Moslem supporters as to whether she would wish them happy holidays as well. Lara’s team responded to one by writing, “Hello Mohammed, if you scroll down, you will see that Lara had wished Happy Bayram /Eid to her Muslim fans too.. just scroll down on this page. One does not exclude the other, on the contrary.. Team Lara”
As these last two photos/exchanges indicate, no image or concept can ever be thought innocuous in this day and age!
One thing all of Lara’s postings have done is to make the fan sites somewhat lazy. It used to be that Lara provided little information, and fans had to dig for whatever information could be found. Now the sites (this one included!) get to rely on her and her team. Lara’s people have found out, after long last, a truism about show business (and politics) – provide people with what you want them to know, and they won’t look for what you don’t want them to know!
Meanwhile, Lara had a brief interview on the show, “69 minutes sans chichis” which had a special on Johnny Hallyday (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUjcp07ULi0), on the Belgian channel ‘La Deux’. She reviewed her experience with him on their duet of ‘Requiem pour un fou’. She noted that he had brought her a bouquet of orange roses and told her she was the one woman he wanted on stage with her. That it was a magical experience, and that he gave her the ultimate gift for a young career. He also has shown her the meaning of sacrifice, which is necessary to maintain a long career, “decade after decade, like a lighthouse on the horizon that someone could watch and draw inspiration from”.
Five separate videos on youtube of that duet have totaled some 6.2 million views.
In news of future events, the Lara Fabian web site posted a link to an article from Turkey concerning Lara’s performance there next month (http://www.aksam.com.tr/kultur-sanat/muzigin-bugulu-sesi-lara-fabian-ekim-ayinda-zorlu-psmde/haber-441950). Here’s the translation:

'Croire' had been a hit in the same year in the European music charts.
We used to listen to the sound of the world-famous tenor 'Caruso, which is an excellent way to draw attention to the artist. The ‘Lara Fabian Turkey’ site reports that this show has sold out, in only a couple of weeks; the room holds 2300. They are considering adding a second show for the next day. Clearly Lara is doing very well in Turkey, and as reported a few weeks ago – and in the email responses noted above - seems to have an active following in various Moslem countries.
As to the ‘surprise guest artist’ mentioned in the article, various sites note an article at (http://www.hurriyet.com.tr/kelebek/paparazzi/30063640.asp?noMobile=true) indicating it will be with ‘Halit Ergenç’, a famous Turkish actor and musician. The article provides pictures of him, as well as a video montage of him singing. There are also numerous videos of him on youtube (e.g., www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTTKe0e5pBQ).
Finally, there is a nice picture of the venue, the Zorlu Performing Arts Center, at

And speaking of pictures…the first interesting picture of the week involves a bit of off-topic digression. Claire Chazal, the ‘Queen of TV News’ in France was just fired from TF1 (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/claire-chazal-frances-queen-of-news-is-dead--and-with-her-a-countrys-deference-to-the-political-class-10497211.html). Speculation as to the reason(s) given in the article were falling ratings and refusal to ‘modernize’ her presentations. Her replacement is Anne-Claire Coudray, a journalist who, as this article indicates, “caused a sensation by presenting a report in a skin-tight leather dress that let people see her nipples”. [Yes, in France!] The thing about that dress, as the LFIAG site points out, is it is the same as one Lara has worn,
www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=746084688836625&set=gm.455640807956120&type=1&theater
Also, a photo from Lara Fabian – PHQ,

(imagine if Ms. Coudray had worn that dress!)
And from ‘Operation Fan Club Lara Fabian’,

(even a journalist could wear that…)
Still a month away from the concert in Turkey, so an itinerary equivalent to that of this past week is likely in store for the coming week(s). But we are always willing to be surprised, something not out of character for Lara, so…stay tuned.
