Lara had one more promotional appearance this past week, an early morning radio interview (via telephone on RTL) for the show ‘Petit Matin’. As indicated on this program, Lara has no scheduled performances this summer; the time will be used instead to relax, finalize her new album and vacation with her family, probably near the Mediterranean. Thanks to ‘Operation Fan Club Lara Fabian’ for the audio:

(also available on vimeo, at: vimeo.com/133556988).
This doesn’t automatically mean she won’t be doing something in a ‘foreign’ country, which might not be discussed on a French radio show anyway. However, we have no indication of it so far, such as an advertisement ferreted out by fans.
We do have a report from Lara as to what she is currently doing – moving from one house to another. To illustrate the point, she posted two photos on her FB site, first, with cartons:
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.215378125170359.50343.201065806601591/946066522101512/?type=1&theater
(with the caption, “When I’m not singing…I move out!)
And the second with what looks like a living room all set up:
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.215378125170359.50343.201065806601591/947688238606007/?type=1&theater
(with the caption, “Crates unpacked, furniture installed”, husband Gabriel as well peaking into the selfie).
Lara also wished her Moslem fans [particularly in Turkey] a ‘Happy Bayram with a photo of hearts, at: www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.215378125170359.50343.201065806601591/946626962045468/?type=1&theater ;
and a Happy National Holiday [today] to Belgians (https://www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.215378125170359.50343.201065806601591/948691588505672/?type=1&theater ).
These entries are Lara trying to keep her fans involved, during a time of little actual engagement. A further indication of this is that she actually responded to some of the fans’ comments concerning these photos, including the statement, “"Thank you all for your messages and wishes. I will try to read a little more, as soon as there is free time (like today But I can not reply to all messages or permanently sit on Facebook ... Thank you, my angels ❤". Hard to remember when that last happened! The ‘Lara Fabian Connecting People’ site was so surprised that they suggested the ‘real’ Lara must have been abducted by aliens And she put on a link to her appearance on the 2013 France 2 show ‘La parenthèse inattendue‘ with Patrice Laffont and Christian Vadim, memorable for her very humane, intelligent interactions (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Y-lK8y6ZKQ). While the intent may be somewhat obvious, it is nice that she is valuing the connection to her audience.
[Concerning the move itself – in a relatively recent interview, Lara noted that she feels compelled to continually change her residence, either moving from house to house, or altering the house she’s living in. The interviewer said at the time that this might have been the result of a childhood bouncing back and forth between Belgium and Sicily - perhaps that childhood induced either a need for novelty or a search for lasting peace and safety. In ‘Le Secret’, Lara opined that the true destination of such a search is the ‘secret place’ inside – if true, it will not be found by setting up a new living room ].
In all of the promotional interviews, Lara’s new album is continually linked to the showing of her Prague concert movie the same day. Another radio station is now promoting it, MFM (http://mfmradio.fr/musique/people/11507/lara-fabian-au-cinma). However, Lara is pushing this cinematic event even more – she will be appearing at four preview showings of the movie prior to its official French/Belgium opening, three in France (Lille, Paris, Bordeaux) and one in Belgium (Brussels). An advertisement for this can be seen at (https://www.cotediffusion.fr/programmation/lara-fabian). An article about the event was carried by ‘charts-in-France’, at (http://www.chartsinfrance.net/Lara-Fabian/news-98057.html), translated below [notable, actually, for its inaccurate information!].

“An Evening Around the World”: Lara Fabian in the Cinema November 6th, 2015
On the occasion of the release of her new album this autumn, Lara Fabian will introduce in movie theaters the film of her last concert in Prague. An unreleased show in France.
It is the 6th of November that Lara Fabian will publish her new album "Ma vie dans la tienne" whose first extract “Quand je ne chante pas” is currently playing on the airwaves. The same day, the singer will meet her admirers in dark rooms for the diffusion of a film retracing the epic of her last European tour that saw her treading the stages of Munich, Berlin, Hannover, Bucharest and finally Sofia and Helsinki, in the autumn of 2014. The concert from October 16th [sic] in Prague has been captured and will be visible in more than 40 Mega CGR French theaters.
Called “Un soir autour du monde” ['An evening around the world'], the event appears in the line of those organized around the cinema broadcasts of the concerts of Matt Pokora, Johnny Hallyday, Shy’m or still Muse and Mylene Farmer, who holds the record of spectators for a unique show, with more than 100,000 tickets sold for her film “Timeless 2013” last year.
This evening of November 6th will therefore serve as a launch pad for the new album of Lara Fabian, the first since “Le Secret” (2013), and since major health problems that forced the singer to cancel most of her French concerts last year. Her title “Quand je ne chante pas” also seems to have been inspired by this difficult period following a serious auditory shock. Her first albums "Carpe Diem" (1994), "Pure" (1996) and "Nue" (2001) were also the inspiration for Lara Fabian. The artist has indeed told the station MFM Radio that her new songs were written in the "tradition of the Francophone albums that she did "in the past".
----------------------------------------------------
Of course we know that the concert was recorded in Prague not at the end of the European tour, but at the end of the ‘world tour’, thus not in October 2014 but in June 2015, her second appearance in Prague. And the number of theaters showing the movie has not been ‘40’ for a month – it is now up to 250 (!) [and so to equal Mylene Farmer, Lara would need to get 4000 people at each showing]. But it is interesting that Lara’s movie theater appearance, and the ‘one night’ showing of the film, follows a trend that has already been established in France with other performers, so it is not as 'out of the blue' as it first seemed.
An article about the event in Brussels is available at (https://www.facebook.com/events/945389422169744/) [thanks to LaraFabianweb for the link], with the translation below:

November 05, live exclusively in the cinema in Belgium, the emotion of her unreleased concert recorded in Prague! Book your tickets in the cinema or on cotediffusion.fr!
November 05, 2015, several cinemas in Belgium will broadcast the "Best-of, Unplugged" concert Lara Fabian, filmed in Prague in June 2015. A program entitled "Lara Fabian one evening around the world" in which we will also discover the artist through several interviews.
This project is initiated by Warner and Côté Diffusion.
Lara Fabian’s tour has not been presented in Belgium, it is therefore a chance for the Belgian public to discover the concert in exclusivity in the cinema in conditions of optimal image and sound.

In other news, the Lara Fabian MZ site noted that during an interview with the ‘Lisa Angell’ (http://www.ldpeople.com/interview/lisa-angell-eurovision-je-ne-rate-jamais-touche-pas-a-mon-poste-interview-video/), the singer noted that Lara had agreed to appear on stage with her September 28th, at the Theater of Porte Saint-Martin. Lisa Angell appeared in the last Eurovision song contest, where she finished in 25th place, and has released four albums to date.
Given the paucity of current events, Lara’s fan sites, like Lara herself, are revisiting some of her older appearances. In particular, the Lara Fabian Romanian FB site has recently subtitled, in English, several of Lara’s famous shows, including the ‘Frequenstar’ show from 1998; the seven parts can be found at: Part 1/7 - dai.ly/x2ybq3o; Part 2/7 - dai.ly/x2ybo41; Part 3/7 - dai.ly/x2y7obu; Part 4/7 - dai.ly/x2y7obt; Part 5/7 - dai.ly/x2y7obs; Part 6/7 - dai.ly/x2y7obr; Part 7/7 - dai.ly/x2y7obq. There is also their ‘best of’ from Lara’s October 2013 Showcase where she responded to fan’s requests (https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2y7648_lara-fabian-best-of-the-showcase-10-01-2013-english-subtitles_music?start=1). Once again we thank them for their great efforts on behalf of fans. [Now, if they can only get around to ‘La parenthèse inattendue‘ ].

Nothing official on Lara’s ‘Events’ or ‘Concert’ schedule until those personal appearances at the movie theaters in late October, although we should not be surprised at the occasional promotional opportunity or pre-recorded show popping up. Otherwise it may well be ‘back to the past’ for the fan sites (as summers often are).
