A new French album named, and an upcoming single release – Lara is jumping back into the Francophile world.
Although Lara’s ‘world tour’ still has two more concerts to go this week, she seems anxious to reconnect with her French audience. So, ignoring the upcoming concerts on her website she instead left the following message (in translation, as it was put on only in French) (https://www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.215378125170359.50343.201065806601591/914960045212160/?type=1&theater):

Hello my Angels
Here I am again close to you !!!
I know some of you have felt that I was a bit distant ..
I understand that you might have felt neglected .. But the distance was only geographical. I am never too far away ...
Today, together with my friend Arthur I am going back to the studios and the promoting tour to present to you my new album "My Life in yours" and my new song, and I have a great feeling about it! What can be nicer than to go have fun like a child for my FIRST TV show!!! A long time ago Arthur brought me luck by being the first to invite me on a big TV show, when I was unknown in France !!!! I am so delighted to see you again !!!! Thank you for your presence and your love ...
See you very soon ...

The new album has thus moved a giant step closer to reality. ‘Pitiblog’ picked up the story, with the following (translated) article (http://www.ptitblog.net/Lara-Fabian/lara-fabian-devoile-le-nom-de-son-nouvel-album_art12418.html):
------------------------------------------------------------
Lara Fabian reveals the name of her new album.
Lara Fabian fans will be delighted! This autumn the singer will introduce her new French album, and the title has just been unveiled: My Life in yours.
It was under this name that the new French album of Lara Fabian was revealed, which will come in the fall 2015. The admirers of the singer of "J’y crois encore" will still have to be patient, and must cling to the few reports emerging on the Internet, for as the name of the artist's next album is released, no new song has yet been unveiled.
What is certain is that the tracks on this new album will be new. Invited on the show "Réveille les stars" at the MFM Radio antenna, at the beginning of the year, the artist had declared then: "I just finished writing it with a great team", adding, "I said at the outset that it would be in the spring but it seems a little early. I would say more next fall."
Still a little patience in the meantime, new information should filter on the internet!
--------------------------------------------------------
Contrary to what was available at the time of that article, a new song has been announced. It has now been reported that the first single from the album, entitled "Quand je ne chante pas" [When I don’t sing] will be released digitally on June 15th. Apparently it has already been sent to radio stations. The Lara Fabian – PHQ site presented a (non-official) poster for it (which says June 19):
www.facebook.com/353946178085395/photos/a.353954938084519.1073741828.353946178085395/692707667542576/?type=1&theater
Lara had previously mentioned it would be made available in June, and her upcoming promotional tour would make little sense for an album to be released in the Fall unless there was something to present now – the new single being the key.
The show Lara will referred to is called "Vendredi Tout Est Permis (Avec Arthur)" ["Friday Everything Is Allowed"], referred to as ‘VTEP’, on TF1. Its FB page is at:
www.facebook.com/CeSoirToutEstPermisAvecArthur
Arthur is the presenter, and, according to their website, “Arthur and other French stars play games and have fun”.
The picture that Lara used, as you can see, is not exactly the most flattering one she could have found (perhaps a 'selfie'). So perhaps to counterbalance that, she added another one, at:
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.201066899934815.46181.201065806601591/914964705211694/?type=1&theater
and then additional photos on the set of #VTEP , at:

All these photos and more can be found on Lara’s Instagram site: www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/app_267091300008193
Lara recorded the show on June 1. Nicolaus N and Thierry Palomares on the MZ FB site noted that a video Arthur put on ‘Periscope’ (https://www.periscope.tv/w/V0233zQ5NTB8MTY4Mzk5NDW5Nc6hsn6_23zCEXdaCjgqwhBAwMgXwuPGWBx8wEGv3g==) implies that Lara will be on the ‘bonus’ version of his program, which will be shown on June 13th (the regular program is on June 12th), although the 19th is also possible. Note that given the nature of the show, there is no guarantee that she will actually sing - as opposed to simply ‘having fun’. However, in her message she mentions presenting “her new song”, and if her single is released by then (or about to be), it would be somewhat odd for her not to present it.
And when Lara said she has now embarked on a promotional tour, it does not end here. Nicolas Boucaud on the MZ FB site, indicated that in response to his question, he was told that Lara will be on the show ‘La fête de la musique’ with host Daniela Lumbroso on France 2 TV, June 20th. It’s also been reported that she will appear on the 20th anniversary program of “Les Enfants de la Télé” on TF1, June 27th. WThe Lara Fabian – PHQ site lists additional upcoming programs reportedly planned so far:
- Ce soir tout est permis: 13 juin 2015 Prime - TF1
- C a vous la suite: Juin 2015
- Touche pas à mon poste : Juin 2015 - D8
- Du soleil et des tubes : 20 juin 2015 (Quai des états-unis à NICE) - France 2
- Village départ : Juillet 2015 (France 3)
and their same source (Patrick Mazallon) lists the new album release for October 2015. Of course, as we know, timings do change…
While Lara says in her message to her French audience that she is finally back ‘close to you’, actually, she no longer is, since tomorrow she is giving another ‘best of’ concert in Bratislava, Slovakia. A poster for the concert can be seen, thanks to the Lara Fabian – PHQ site, at www11.pic-upload.de/31.05.15/pgf5xiy5ngxx.jpg.
And then Friday night is the last show of the ‘world tour’, with the important performance in Prague, Czech Republic where her DVD will be recorded. Again no mention (yet) of this on her FB site – presumably she will want to sell the DVD to her French audience, so it will have to be discussed eventually! It appears that the Prague concert will be covered by reports in the French media and broadcast live in “many countries” (http://www.btl-agency.cz/?menu=novinka&cislo=43&jazyk=cz). Here is their (translated) article:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Lara Fabian unique concert on June 5 in Prague will be shot for French television. Be there!
Recording from Lara Fabian concert in Prague's Karlin Forum will be broadcast in many countries and captured for an original DVD. For the filming Lara Fabian chose the Prague audience that impressed her at her last two completely sold-out concerts. Lara Fabian was born in Belgium, but spent her childhood with her Italian mother in Sicily. It became a fateful meeting she had with songwriter Rick Allison. Thanks to him, she moved from Europe to Quebec and there released her first album, Lara Fabian. Her beautiful voice soon charmed the whole world. Viewers around the world love the combination of pop, chanson, world music, jazz and classical music. "We're extremely proud that Lara chose Prague for her filming, for us it's like getting a gold medal for production. But it's not just us, but especially the great spectators who came to both Prague concerts in October 2014 and created a wonderful atmosphere", says Zdenek Carnival of the organizing agency, BTL AGENCY. In an exclusive interview with Lara Fabian she admitted that her success is far from free. Her beautiful voice requires practicing every day before every concert with her long time singing teacher. Last year, during the Prague concert, the teacher unfortunately was ill and unable to come personally with Lara. Lara Fabian checked into her hotel suite, and with a fast internet connection was able to listen to the guidance of her teacher, at least via Skype. This year the teacher is well and has already booked a room next to hers. Viewers can look forward again to the wonderful voice of Lara that sounds acoustically perfect in the space of the Karlin Forum. And not only that. Everybody who purchase tickets to this concert, they will directly participate in the filming of the French TV, and maybe their shots become part of the video that Lara will be presenting throughout the world. Date and Venue: 5th June 2015 from 20 am, Forum Karlin, Pernerova 53, 186 00 Prague 8 - Karlín Last tickets on sale - exclusive to the Ticketsream www.ticketstream.cz/larafabian in price from 690 CZK.
---------------------------------------------------
While any concert of Lara’s is a special occasion, frankly it will be good to see the end of these ‘best of’ concerts, assuming they are replaced by the promotion for the new album. They were originally meant to familiarize Lara to audiences in Eastern Europe and some parts of Russia, but were resurrected after she aborted the ‘Le Secret’ concerts. Lara wanted a setlist that would indeed show the range of her work to new audiences, but at the same time provide an ear-saving acoustic background behind her. She has done the songs perfectly, with excellent voice, a natural and interesting discussion with the audience, while looking beautiful. One hopes all of this will be properly captured on the DVD; perhaps videos from the show will provide us with an indication of that (and if it is being broadcast live, someone may actually record it directly).
In honor of Lara’s efforts, here is a review of the ‘world tour’ locations, following her enforced hiatus:
October 2014: Munich, Berlin, Offenbach, Dusseldorf, Hannover [Germany], Kaunas [Lithuania], Prague [Czech Republic], Bucharest [Romania], Sofia [Bulgaria], Helsinki, Turku [Finland];
November 2014: Baku [Azerbaijan], Moscow [Russia- not a ‘best of’]
December 2014: Chisineau [Moldavia]
January 2015: Brooklyn, [N.Y.][not a ‘best of’]
February 2015: Tel Aviv [Israel]
March 2015: Stockholm [Sweden], Atlantic City [N.J.], Montreal, Toronto [Canada], Miami [Florida], Beverly Hills [California]
April 2015: Vancouver [Canada], Tallinn [Estonia], Helsinki, Tampere [Finland]
May 2015: Minsk [Belarus] [not a ‘best of’]
June 2015: Bratislava [Slovakia], Prague [Czech Republic]
Some places she hasn’t played before, so that is progress. Maybe some day she will really do a world tour, including China, India, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Italy (with a full concert), Spain, the U.K., many countries in South America, Mexico, South Africa, etc. At least one gets to cross the U.S. and English-speaking Canada off that list.
Lara also utilized her FB site to ask for financial aid for people in Nepal affected by the recent devastating earthquake . Here was her (translated) message:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Hello my angels, small message to tell you how we are all affected by what happened recently in Nepal. The Association AMTM launches an appeal to come to the aid of the populations. The more aid there will be, the more the country will be able to recover from this horror. Thus, I wanted to send you a link so that we can all make our contribution to the reconstruction of this beautiful country and support its inhabitants:
bit.ly/1J8qy9g
Thanks to all for your generosity and your support...
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The earthquake in April 2015 caused 7650 deaths and more than 16,400 injuries. AMTM is the charity that Lara works with, which has provided humanitarian support in that country for some 23 years.
In other news, back in January of 2015 Lara was photographed accompanied by her husband in the studio of Toto Cutugno, an Italian pop singer-songwriter and musician (one of only two Italians to win the Eurovision Song Contest).
www.facebook.com/totocutugnoofficial/photos/a.591272954341751.1073741828.583720655096981/654861984649514/?type=1&theater
Perhaps this is/was indicative of Lara’s intention to pursue an Italian album.
And speaking of singles: the Lara Fabian Connecting People site reports that the site (http://www.stephanelarue.com/) indicates the remixes of “Make Me Yours Tonight” occupies the 6th position on the iTunes dance charts in France. I’ve been unable to verify that…If it has been having some success, that does raise the question of whether Lara will mention it on her upcoming promotional tour. That also reminds us we still haven’t heard anything more from the Lara Fabian Turkey site concerning the availability of physical CDs for the Lara Fabian Selection album.

By next week, Lara will have wrapped up the ‘best of’ tour by filming the Prague concert for her DVD. Let’s hope it all goes as well as the rest of the tour has. Then she will be moving into the next phase of her career, preparing for her next French promotional tour and her new single. Exciting times for her – and for us, too!
