Given recent events, and assuming nothing arises to the contrary, the News Updates will be transitioning away from Lara’s health issues, and concentrating on her music instead. However, one further indicator of Lara’s now being ‘out and about’, is this photograph of her at a restaurant, in Waterloo (thanks to Taleb):

With the (translated) caption:
"Surprise in our Italian restaurant located in Waterloo... Lara Fabian... "Super sympathetic and super friendly, a star who does let things go to her head!"
Now, to the music: there was an interview with Igor Krutoi last week. Here’s an English translation (provided by the larafabianweb.com FB site). Original source:

GREAT INFO!
On the eve of "New Wave", the magazine "Open City" visited the Moscow home of Igor Krutoy, one of the founding fathers of this famous festival.
Igor Krutoy: "This is a really important year for me. First of all, because of the wedding of my eldest daughter. Secondly, my mother turned 80 this year. As long as our parents are alive, we remain children. And thirdly, my jubilee is coming up. After all, 60 years - that's a serious age… Now, when I'm 60 - I still go on stage, I don't give up (laughing). I'm preparing 2 new programs. One of them will be presented at Kremlin, it will be in the style of crossovers. Hvorostovsky, Lara Fabian, Sumi Jo, Yuri Bashmet and Andrea Bocelli will take part in this concert. The second program will consist of popular hits; it will take place at Moscow Olympic Stadium. The Closing concert of "New Wave" will present an excerpt of this program, which will introduce my jubilee concerts in Moscow... During other "New Wave" concerts there will be music, written especially for this occasion, as well as songs from the second album of Lara Fabian".
--------------------------------------------------------------
This album, that Krutoi has said several times is ‘already ready’, is rumored to have a release date toward the end of the year, or early next year. Originally when the fall tour of Eastern Europe had been on the agenda, fans thought it would be in support of the album. Even if that had originally been the intention, it’s obviously no longer the case. We know the album contains songs in English, French and Italian – perhaps in Russian as well. We’ll see – we’ll also see if Lara releases it in France (unlikely) or even comments on it on her FB site (maybe also unlikely, as she seems to feel that is primarily for French-speaking people).
With respect to Lara’s fall appearances, several that look like official promo videos have now appeared for the fall concerts, Prague in particular (differing in length):
vimeo.com/100732544 (2 1/2 minutes)
vimeo.com/100732542 (1 minute)
Assuming Lara is behind this (they are not on her official youtube channel), the existence of these videos indicates how seriously she is taking this tour.
In addition, fan sites has been noting the various posters/advertisements being made available in the different cities. Here is a collection of them, starting with the summer concerts:

Tickets for Lara Fabian
Concert sold out this time.
July 4, 2014 12:00 - COMMERCIAL article
When Lara Fabian in the spring of 2012, first visited the Czech Republic, she not only sold out almost immediately Smetana Hall of the Municipal House in Prague, but also quite enthused the Czech audience for whom her soulful expression had been known so far only from recordings. Also, two years ago in Prague - to the surprise of many - in the middle of a concert, she put down the microphone and quite masterfully filled the Smetana Hall with her beautiful voice, which does not need any support techniques. Only good acoustics. And it relies on good acoustics and concert organizer - BTL Agency, which shall present Lara Fabian in a completely new concert hall - a multifunctional cultural space Forum Karlin.
In the autumn of this year, Lara Fabian returns to Prague. At the concert, which will take place on October 16 from 20 pm, one will hear the biggest hits, such as Je t'aime, Adagio, Tout, I will love again. We believe that with the perfect acoustics of a new forum Karlin the enjoyment of the music will be multiplied. Tickets can be obtained from 890 CZK.
-------------------------------------------------------------
The Lara Fabian PHQ FB site produced the following poster for the New Wave show:
www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=496567120489966&set=a.353954938084519.1073741828.353946178085395&type=1&theater
Their comment about a ‘new single’ represents the possibility that the ‘lead song’ for the new album will be offered, as was done with ‘Demain n’existe pas’ a few years ago for the Mme. Zhivago album.
The attention that this tour is starting to get seems to exceed what Lara has generated in the past, both from her people and from the audience. It emphasizes again that Lara is no longer putting all her eggs – and maybe not even the majority of them - in her francophile basket. This tendency may well have gotten a push from the modest French sales of ‘Le Secret’, an album that she has implied is the best she could do. And speaking of multiple baskets: Josh discovered that ALL eleven of Lara’s studio albums (except the Russian market release of Mme. Zhivago) are now available as mp3s on Amazon.com, at:
www.amazon.com/s?rh=n%3A163856011%2Ck%3ALara+Fabian%2Cp_n_feature_browse-bin%3A625150011&keywords=Lara+Fabian&ie=UTF8&qid=1405295674
A relevant question is who initiated this availability: Amazon, in their thirst for selling, or Lara’s people, re-engaging with a North American audience? To explore this, the U.S. version of iTunes was perused. It turns out that they, too, now feature the eleven studio albums; they used to have just one or two. So it wasn’t just Amazon. Then was it Lara? A search was done for other French singers. It turns out that an effort has been made on iTunes to expand their inventory for a number of them – for example, Patricia Kass, Zazie, Mylene Farmer and Maurane each now have 13 albums available (and it can’t be just a coincidence that the number is the same, it must be policy. The difference with Lara is that for some reason, none of Lara’s live albums are there). After all these years, some genius woke up to the fact that their sales model of not allowing people to purchase albums on iTunes from other countries (you need a credit card from that country) was limiting sales of music by artists from other countries. This was a self-defeating approach for all concerned, which they have now ‘corrected’ by including more albums (in this case) from French artists in the U.S. store. Perhaps the change was due to Amazon doing it, in which case it is then also a competition between different on-line vendors... We know Lara will be back in NYC for Krutoi’s concert at the end of January 2015; but until she expands to a more general North American/U.S. tour, this doesn’t seem to imply that she has a renewed focus on that market as well.
In other news, a somewhat longer version of Lara’s duet from last week can be found at:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hCrefnOjrM
In the type of article that passed for news the last few months : A woman who organizes birthday parties for Lara’s daughter Lou has come to people’s attention; here are several photos:

www.facebook.com/lapagedesfabianesk/photos/pcb.719333744793410/719333538126764/?type=1&theater
Now for the next ‘best of’ videos:
Perdere l’amore: www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtP7oFpp-6o
: www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqLuDwLzoBw
Putain de grand amour: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sxskr0yrs7o
Que j’etais belle: www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlkBA3ksbiM
: app.box.com/s/zrbsgp0bi0b0oe2nh5cx
‘Perdere l’amore’ is one of the most powerful songs that Lara has sung, and when she attempts it, the memories of her mother singing it brings out the best in her. The versions chosen here were both from live concerts – the first, From Lara with Love, the PBS concert show, and the second from a fan recording of the wonderful 1998 show in Brussels, one of the few video records we have of the Pure tour. There are a number of other wonderful versions: Two older versions from 1996 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W25-lDz0cA4); (https://app.box.com/s/iv4syuqnwpt168gv5dva); a modern version in Paris (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcuerWrXwEg); and two duets, with Dan Bigrass (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkUu6pLjAF4) and with someone whose voice (and stature) is just a bit different than Dan’s (https://app.box.com/s/ci7baj2e1e2cw04n4ehj). If Lara were to have had a career in Italy, this would likely have been one of her featured covers.
‘Putain de grand amour’: Another powerful song, this time one of the lead songs from ‘Le Secret’, performed as a takeoff of the ‘Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ from Fantasia. Lara’s powerful singing and one of her few attempts at choreography highlight the wonderful videos available (fewer in number of course because of the abbreviated tour). In addition to the one chosen above from Brussels, there’s a video from the same venue on the day before (https://app.box.com/s/flcknoke0e00umdi7mmx), a version from Moscow (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EETW_oQUMzo) and one from Liege (https://app.box.com/s/lyb0arm2rjxcaii3h9g6). Despite the 'linguistic' issues with the song’s title, one wonders what would have happened if Lara had featured this song as one of the leads for the Le Secret album; it certainly would have gotten attention!
'Que j’etais belle': and yet another wonderful song from Le Secret. The versions chosen here are from the tour show in Paris, and from the Evergig multi-fan-recorded Paris showcase some 7 months earlier. Additional excellent versions are from some of the same shows as the previous song, e.g., Brussels (https://app.box.com/s/eapmdh5tc8ia1wd0h6co) and Moscow (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yfgop3YLUe4). With all the interview shows Lara was on, you would have thought she would have used that precious air time to showcase titles such as these last two, and give the album a chance to be other than the carrier of ‘Deux ils, deux elles’.
The New Wave show is less than two weeks away. We’ll apparently get a chance to hear some songs from the second album with Krutoi (at the show last year we heard ‘Yin and Yang’ and ‘Angel Pass Away’, which may be on it). Lara won’t really have to sing, so we may get the actual album versions.
