Lara is once again ‘on the town’, at least to the extent that she is attending public events. A beautiful picture was posted on the MZ FB site of Lara with a fan, taken at the ‘Make A Wish’ show in Brussels this past weekend. It can be seen at:

You may remember that Lara is an active participant in this charity; a year ago, she appeared with her daughter Lou. Its goal is to “grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy”.
Then on Sunday, ‘La page des Fabianesk’ reported that Lara attended the show of Joelle Morane (who was not only the director of this show, but also fulfilled that role for the ‘Le Secret’ tour). Apparently Lara looked very well (as can be seen in the photo below), and was accompanied by her father and Lou.

Last Saturday was the event ‘Televie’ organized by RTL-TV in Belgium, to help provide support for those battling leukemia and other forms of cancer. The promo for it was made available, at:

Lara’s gold record, and Lara herself were shown in the promo but that was from a previous year. You may also remember that Sébastien Delhez organized an effort for people to send in audio comments of support to Lara, on a CD. They have now gotten a response; here’s their message: “SURPRISE ANGELS: this is it! Our Lara has now received the CD with audio messages of support from her angels. A moment filled with surprise and emotion. She wishes to send this photo through to every one of the angels in appreciation for this wonderful gift. Thanks to Lara for being so warm and touched by this gesture”.

What we have to say about these is: “Buyer Beware”, especially if you have to travel to get to them. The notices originate in those countries, and so far, none of them seems to have been openly acknowledged by Lara, even with a comment, outside of her including them on her URL tour dates. Her FB site is still mum concerning any upcoming concert or tour. If it were any other artist, the widespread dissemination of information like this would suggest that the concerts are a certainty, but we know that Lara has often let her dreams run ahead of reality… (Italian album? ‘Victor, Victoria’ in a Paris theatre production? The film Charlie?, etc., etc.) Hopefully, she will find out sooner rather than later whether these performances (or at least some of them) will be possible. Interestingly, they are being advertised as ‘Le Secret’ concerts, which implies that the new album with Krutoi will not be available by then. And, presumably, if she will be back promoting her current album, it raises the possibility of her filming a DVD of the show after all (and may explain why the video made from fan contributions has not yet appeared).
There is a news report associated with the French version of “The Voice”: Jennifer is leaving the ‘jury’ to have a child, and a replacement is needed. The magazine ‘Public’ has listed Lara as a leading candidate in an article at:

In other television related news, the ‘Best of’ show on which Lara was a jury member last year, is not doing so well. One can’t say that the difference was solely, or even largely, due to Lara’s participation, but she certainly added a spark to the proceedings.

Despite the abbreviated ‘Le Secret’ tour, we have a number of excellent renditions of ‘Je reve d’une etoile’. The first choice due to the video quality is from her TV appearance on ‘Les chansons d'abord’; it is one of the very few songs that she performed live on TV from ‘Le Secret’ outside of ‘Deux ils, deux elles’ (and many of those were lip-synched). But to capture the true spirit of the song we have to go to the concert performances, and there were many good ones. The second choice given above was from her concert in Moscow, the one in which her reflective glove (to produce ‘stars’) did not work, but she was rescued by the fans using the lights from their phones to produce the same effect. Lara’s amazement and appreciation make this a video to remember.
