The fourth episode of ‘The Best’ aired last Friday, and as usual, the Lara Fabian Brazil site provided ‘out of country’ access to the show, available at:

The show itself was at the top of the ratings and remained at close to 4 million viewers, 22.6% of the audience. The winner was a Ukrainian team, a big man who threw a much smaller women around and ‘caught up with her’ before she was injured! A brief reading of the messages coming into the show’s site implied, to me, that people were ‘getting used to’ the judges, and were becoming more positive about the show. Presumably those who didn’t like it have tuned out.

And as far as its impact on her album sales is concerned, ‘Le Secret’ rose 10 places to 184th on the French charts, and 8 places to 29th in Belgium. While it obviously could have been worse, it is not really much of a boost given the audience for the show

In other news, it is still summer vacation, and Lara Fabian was in this week's issue of "Femme Actuelle" magazine (France, August 12-18) discussing her ‘refrain of the summer’. She chose the Eagles’ ‘Hotel California’, saying it was the song to which as a teenager she danced her first ‘slow’ dance; she also mentions her warm summer memories of those times, with her family in Sicily. Lara’s concert tour for ‘Le Secret’ doesn’t open with paid performances until September 11th in Belgium, but she will actually provide a free concert on September 7th in Coudekerque-Branche (a suburb of Dunkirk in northern France) at the ‘Festival of Nature and Flanders’. Because this is for a special occasion, and not for her ‘angels’ in particular, fans don’t think it will be the first ‘Le Secret’ concert. It will probably emphasize her better known songs - though it would be a good opportunity to add at least a few from the new album, and maybe win some converts to it…As for the actual tour, Lara is continuing to add dates, currently up to 48 extending through next June. All but a handful so far are in France and Belgium.

This coming Friday will be the recording of the finale of ‘The Best’, so we know Lara will be back in Paris for that. Once back, one would assume she would have to start preparing for the concert tour, including the free concert. Only a few more weeks before her public schedule picks up in a very demanding way – hopefully she has been able to enjoy (with her new husband) a happy and relaxing vacation. And, in the Northern Hemisphere at least , the same for all of you.

hello, i am living in holland and i can not see the best show 3 and 4.
when i try to watch the show on the brazilian link i get the message that the video is not uploaded or: and then the letters stop but i think the rest of the message is or the video is blokked for your country. the first two shows worked but now i can't play the new shows.
