This coming week marks the beginning of Lara’s ‘year for the French’. However, it started today with her appearance on the Russian ‘Song of the Year’ performing ‘Je t’aime encore’. It marks the third straight year Lara was on Russian TV on New Year’s eve/day. Videos of it should be available widely; at the time of this writing, it can be downloaded from the Russian forum (go most of the way down the page) at:

The last week of the ‘old year’ brought the news that Lara, along with Chimene Badi, will be joining the French TV version of 'The Voice', as a guest helping one of the four main coaches of the contestants, Florent Pagny. For those who thought Lara no longer mattered to the French public, the fact that this was announced with such fanfare by the program, which is on TF1, showed that whatever critics may think of her, she is viewed as a magnet for an audience by the show’s promoters. Apparently, Lara has already shot her sequences, and so will not actually be present for the program when it is broadcast.
Les Victoires de la Musique (the French version of the ‘Grammies’), published a poll on their Facebook page asking which French female artist you would like to see nominated for the ‘Victoire’ this year. To vote for Lara, who is currently in fourth place, go to:

One presumes that Lara would be a candidate due to the MZ release in France, as that was really her only contribution to French music this year. Perhaps the single ‘Je t’aime encore’ would stand a chance of being nominated, for it, at least, was in general release (via itunes), unlike the MZ album in that country.
