Lara left a new message on her website this past week; while so far it hasn’t been translated into English on the official site, Tmaj provides a translation on his wonderful website so there's no need to do it here. It can be seen at:

There are several points of interest, left somewhat mysterious, as is Lara’s (perhaps unintentional) nature when communicating with fans. In discussing her singing of ‘Message Personnel’ by France Gall, she notes that “it will be on the iTunes version of the album”. Does that mean that the iTunes version will be different from the version sold elsewhere?
She also met with Catherine Lara, another chanteuse whose song is included on the album, and who Lara mentioned will be present with her on the Accès Privé" show, to be broadcast May 30th. One wonders if they will perform a duet of ‘Nuit Magique’.
Her message also indicated that Simon Climie was responsible for updating the songs to 2009. As pointed out by ‘Adagio’ on Hezia’s site, he has worked with many notable performers, including Eric Clapton, Arétha Franklin, Anastacia, Carlos Santana etc. Several fans have wondered whether the version of the album made with Matt Hitchman still exists somewhere, and whether that would ever be made available. One would guess not, unless perhaps one knows Matt, but in this world full of commercial possibilities (and declining album sales), anything could happen. [Presumably that is not the iTunes version!]
Finally, Lara indicated that there is a video being made for “Soleil Soleil”, which will have people who are close to her in it (any bets on whether her child will be included?). Given the subject matter, it would be nice if the video was filled with images of the sun and light. Referring to the video, she says “Thank you to this young and talented director... whose humor is also as ‘well made as his moustache’...”- a joking reference to Gerard Pullicino.
However, she could have saved some money and just used several of her recent appearances in which she sang the song wonderfully. In addition to her performance on “Les Petites Stars” last weekend, Lara sang “Soleil Soleil” on “Vivement Dimanche” broadcast today. As an added twist, apparently she was suffering from a severe throat infection on the day of the shooting. She discussed with the host (Michel Drucker) her new album, motherhood and her work with “Paroles des femmes”; a portion of the video of Lara’s time on the streets was also played. . Video of all of this is available on Youtube. Lara’s ‘homeless’ participation still has legs, as articles concerning it appeared in both ‘Closer’ and ‘Ici Paris’; see

Larafabianweb.com shows on their website the promotion plan that was sent to them concerning the new album. You can see it at:
www.larafabianweb.com/images/albums/TLFM/LaraFabianPlanPromoTLFM2.pdf
The CD listing is back down to 13 songs ('Libertine' is no longer there, and ‘Message Personnel’ is). The promo plan is quite extensive, indicating radio, TV and press appearances, with most to occur later this month. It’s probably correct, but the same website has received material before from “Lara’s people” only to find out it was a hoax. As many of these appearances have already been confirmed, one presumes it’s accurate, and if so, it’s nice that such a big push is coming, including numerous advertisements on radio and TV.
Lara has no public events scheduled as far as we know this coming week; the next major appearance will be on the Belgian special dedicated to her on May 21, on “Quelque chose en nous de... Lara Fabian”.
