More information emerged about the new album this week. First, the cover for the new album has been made available; a copy of it can be found at:

In addition, Larafabianweb.com listed the song track, given below with the singer associated with it:
1) Soleil Soleil (Nana Mouskouri – 1972)
2) J’ai 12 ans (Diane Dufresne – 1990)
3) Amoureuse (Véronique Sanson – 1972)
4) Göttingen (Barbara – 1965)
5) Il venait d’avoir 18 ans (Dalida – 1973)
6) Mamy Blues (Nicoletta – 1971)
7) Une femme amoureuse (Mireille Mathieu – 1980)
Adaptation Women in love - Barbra Streisand)
8) Ca casse (Maurane – 1991)
9) L'Amour existe encore (Céline Dion – 1991)
10) Message Personnel (Françoise Hardy – 1973)
11) Toutes les femmes en moi (original – unpublished)
12) Nuit Magique (Catherine Lara – 1986)
13) L’hymne à L’amour (Edith Piaf – 1949)
In comparison to the original listing, “Babcar” is no longer there. My personal opinion is that Babcar epitomized what was wrong with the aborted album release, in that Lara carried her retreat from emotive singing to an extreme. She was reduced to basically being a member of the chorus, while the musicians (presumably Matt Herskowitz’s band) displayed their prowess. We still do have that version as recorded from the audience at Lara’s October meeting, for those who feel more kindly towards it. In addition, “Libertine” is absent, though it’s not clear whether that was really ever going to be included. 'MasterJedi' on Laradom said that there was an error in the listing, and it was not ‘Une femme amoureuse’ but ‘Femme avec toi’ by Nicole Croisile. And in contrast to the previous ‘authoratative’ listing , “Ca Casse” is back. The week-to-week variation should provide perspective on how much any of this can be taken as gospel (although Lara does devote several pages in the latest Farfallina to the gospel singers involved in the album ;D ).
Also in the "don’t believe anything ‘til it happens" category: Larafabianweb.com denied that Lara gave an interview for ‘Paris Match’, also throwing into question last week’s report that Lara had handed out a promo CD with 6 specific titles. I guess that ‘reader beware’ signs should be posted at the top of each ‘News Update’!
The first single, ‘Soleil Soleil’ is available to be bought on various download sites. On VirginMega it is number 28 now in downloads, having been as high as 14. It is also apparently #6 on music actu.
No additional future promos have been added, but in a surprise, last minute decision, Lara appeared at the taping of the latest Starmania show this week, apparently singing “le reve de stella spotlight”. The program is scheduled to be shown April 24th. As expected, she did not appear for the taping of les enfants de la tv.
Latest listings of venues for the autumn concerts include:
9/25 :Forest National
9/29:Forum in Liège
10/2: PBA in Charleroi
10/7-9:Zénith in Paris
10/21:Zénith in Lille
11/24:Le grand Kursaal in Dunkerque
The ‘Zeniths’ in particular are very big theatres, and Lara’s booking of them attests to her confidence in her ability to draw big crowds to her live shows, whatever the state of her album sales. Nevertheless, the three consecutive dates in Paris are ambitious; it has been suggested that if she can’t sell enough tickets, shows can always be cancelled. This venue would also provide plenty of opportunity if Lara wanted to record a DVD/CD of the live tour (‘Un Regard Neuf’ was recorded at the Zenith).
Concerning long-range plans, there was plenty of interaction between fans and Nathalie on the official site concerning Lara’s statement reported in the press that she would be appearing in “Victor Victoria” next year. Fans wondered why Nathalie could intervene to suppress some spurious messages about this subject without confirming or denying that these were indeed Lara’s plans. Nathalie responded that she didn’t deal with rumors (apparently even if the ‘rumor’ was reported to come directly from Lara). This makes one wonder how much contact Nathalie has with Lara – or whether she is following instructions that Lara herself makes difficult to enforce. In any event, the whole issue is a long way away, and its likelihood will undoubtedly change many times.
