The Official site now has a listing of the promotions already in place for the new album. They are copied below:
- Quelques chose en nous de Lara Fabian (RTBF)
- Rendez-vous avec mon idole (TF1)
- Les années bonheur (FRANCE 2) - 23/05
- 10h le mag (TF1)
- La boîte à musique (FRANCE 2)
- Little Rock Star (TF1) (lara will be a member of a jury judging children singing, and she herself will sing one of her songs)
Some of these programs have already advertised for people to come be in the audience, which as you might imagine, has engendered an enthusiastic response among Lara’s local fans (but see below).
The first show is the Belgian program dedicated to Lara, which is being recorded today, and will have Justine Henin (the tennis player, Lara’s good friend) as the co-host; hopefully we’ll get some information about it from people who were there. It is scheduled to be shown in early June. From this and the other info available so far, it looks like most of these will air around the time of the album’s release (May 25) or shortly thereafter. More promotions are expected.
The official site has also gotten around to acknowledging what most fans already knew, that a few of Lara’s autumn concerts in Belgium are now in place (and apparently selling tickets) – these are scheduled for the end of September/beginning of October. One imagines the tour will then go to France (and perhaps even Switzerland, if earlier rumors are correct) during the fall. Independent of this schedule, Lara will be making what has come to be her annual appearance in Moscow for two concerts June 1st and 2nd.
For those who are interested in keeping up with Lara’s public schedule, larafabianweb.com offers a calendar in which they show upcoming appearances (you can advance it to different months).

One appearance that won’t take place is on ‘Enfants de la Télé’, scheduled for the end of March on TF1. Lara was one of the performers announced, but people calling the program found that she cancelled on March 20th. From the way that was phrased, this appears to be different from the promotions that simply advertised artists who had never agreed, for the sake of publicity. The number of her cancellations over the past six months has far exceeded her appearances; is it all related to the delay of the album? The question has caused some fans to wonder whether they should make arrangements to go to some of the scheduled promotions.
With respect to the single “Soleil Soleil”, it has received very little radio play – the only station where it was heard recently was france bleu; when fans were listening, it was not being played on Cherie FM, MFM or RTL. The radio silence is unfortunately not unusual for Lara, who has not had much airplay for her new music in some years. However, for those wishing to hear it, a full version is back on Youtube (but may obviously be removed again at any moment). In addition, according to the following site, it would appear that it will be available for download starting March 30th.

The question has also arisen as to whether there will be a video associated with the single, something Lara has generally done in the past. One would imagine there would be plenty of appropriate images to include!
