As kindly provided by moreeofmusic on LaradomUS, Lara’s duet of “All Alone Am I” with Mario Frangoulis became more widely available this past week. The link is at:

On laradom, tmaj00 also provided another link for those who have trouble with megaupload,
www.4shared.com/file/8099...d=9370298b
Many thanks to both of them, for those who were reluctant to buy the album just to get the one song (still not available on itunes). Interestingly, the recorded CD version was very similar to the sound available on the youtube video
www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PaEzrCj1D4
which shows how good the sound was on the video recorded from the audience.
BenjaminBelgium on Laradom pointed out that Lara was at the theatre in Brussels last Wednesday for a performance of "Cendrillon ce Macho!"Although the show is a comedy, a key emotional point occurs while they play Lara’s original version of “Je t’aime”. Afterwards she was invited onto the stage with the actors and author; pictures of the event are on facebook at:

For a short time this week, the official site had in their ‘goodies’ section a video of Lara’s making of the first English album (not the officially released video). Apparently it was some 30 minutes long and, according to those who saw it, it featured Rick Allison and was quite moving. However, it was removed before many people saw it. One can speculate as to why that happened – perhaps Rick complained, or Lara hadn’t been aware of what was in it, etc. Nothing was mentioned officially as to what this was all about. We can only hope it will reappear at some point, somewhere. [One person who did get a copy refused to put it on youtube.]
As implied by this event, nothing seems to have changed on the ‘official site’ in terms of their responsiveness to questions, etc. The fan club is still not available for those who want to renew their subscription, and there is no answer for those who haven’t yet received the latest ‘Farfallina’. It turns out to be impossible to edit/correct one’s messages on the forum. Maybe these are only growing pains for the new site, but more likely, it was naïve to think that just because the URL and webmaster changed, the attitude would also. C’est la vie…
