The official website has been having problems in a number of respects. As noted in another post, it does not seem possible to enter the site directly from the welcome page (www.lara-fabian.fr ). Instead one needs to add /content/en (or 'fr' or 'it' for the other languages).
In addition - so much for the theory that if a concert is listed on the official site, it is fairly certain. You may have noticed that the shows with Mario Frangoulis in Greece have disappeared. In the "Agenda" section it indicates that she will be joining him, but new dates remain to be confirmed.
Information concerning Mario Frangoulis is that he is planning to sing "Tu es mon autre" in French and Greek during 2008, and this is most likely one of the songs that Lara would sing with him (along with, conceivably, "So In Love"). How much else Lara would sing is uncertain, and this (along with the cost) has dissuaded some of Lara's most devout fans from planning to go to Greece to see her. Some fans also indicated that given the problems in obtaining the necessary documents to go to Russia and the Ukraine, they wouldn't be attending those concerts either.
The latest quarterly magazine from the fan club, Farfallina (#9 - dated October - December 2007), has now been distributed worldwide, and it consists almost entirely of "retro" photos of Lara from her time in Quebec (1990-1998). It is great to have these photos, and the approach is understandable from the standpoint that professionally nothing much happened to Lara in this time period. However, it does leave one with the suspicion that its real aim is to avoid mentioning or showing pictures of the baby. The publishing date is January 2008, and while it is not clear when the issue actually went to press, clearly some reference could have been included.
Lara's stonewalling of her public concerning the child would appear to belie her claim to want to be "very close" to her fans. It is true that considering it simply from a performer/audience categorization, the fans have no right to anything concerning Lara's personal life, including her feelings about her child. However, part of Lara's appeal, backed up by her own statements, is that she wants the 'relationship' with her audience to be closer than that, and to a good extent the audience has reciprocated (making the effort to go to her concerts around the world, continually showering her with devotion and gifts, etc.). It is within this context that her secrecy and avoidance the last few months are disappointing. One wonders whether this has contributed to the decision by some of Lara's "angels" this time not to make the effort to attend Lara's upcoming concerts.
In other non-Lara (but related) news, stephanie25 on Laradom posted an article from Le Journal de Montreal concerning Rick Allison. Here's the translation:

The troubles continue for R. Allison:
Ex of Lara Fabian
The bank asks from him $940,000

In more of the tricky and costly judiciary back and forth with his celebrated ex Lara Fabian, here it is that the writer Rick Allison sees another tile crash down on him. His bank is asking him for various reimbursements totaling close to $940,000.
The Bank Royale asks Allison, Eric Vleminckx his real name, almost $100,000 for a margin of credit and two credit cards that he is late in paying back.
In November, the bank noticed a sudden succession of checks without funds issued by Vleminckx. "This shows the perilous financial situation in which the defendant finds himself for the last months" writes the prosecutor from the Royale in a proceedings deposited this week at the Palace of Justice of Montreal, and which aims to protect their capital loaned to Allison.
The request indicates besides that this deterioration of his financial situation is in great part due to the fact that the same bank has recently cut off the means of subsistence which made for his livelihood.
It has canceled the credits and asked for the reimbursement of advance payments of funds of $838,365 consigned to the "Espace Dell'Arte", a theatre which he operates in "Little Italy".
An application for reimbursement which has still not been dealt with in appeal before the courts.

Although we don't know what the financial arrangements would have been, perhaps Rick would not be in this position if he had allowed Lara to make use of their songs for the Italian album. If so, then his 'venting his spleen' at her in response has been costly for him (and for her too, since the Italian album is nowhere to be seen).
And also concerning Montreal, there has been no report of Lara having yet gone there for work on the 'classical' album as Matt Herskowitz referred to it.
