If it is always quietest before the storm, 'batten down the hatches' for news about Lara has come to almost a complete halt.
On the forum of the official site, larabest noted the following statement at www.myspace.com/cesarmesa
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Two songs of Cesar Mesa first record production are already part of the compilation named “The Best Pop Opera 2008”, in which there took part artists of the height of Il Divo, Mario Frangoulis and Lara Fabian, and after a few days of its publication has reached the ceiling of the international lists of popularity
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a Turkish record, and before one starts reading too much into it, Lara's 'contribution' is "Adagio". Apparently nothing new, except for the fact that she probably had to agree to this. For those who are interested, it can be obtained at www.dr.com.tr
We overlooked the fact that Gerard Pullicino had a birthday this month, he was 50 on Feburary 6th. A belated happy birthday to him - I'm sure the new child is a sufficient gift!
For those who subscribed or resubscribed to the fan club, it apparently takes up to two months for the latest membership card to be sent. In reality, it is not obvious what the membership card is good for, anyway.
The closing of the official forum for part or most of the day on weekends is drawing increasing attention on various sites (including the forum itself). Again, nothing seems to change when it comes back up, unless something is being prepared that is taking a long time. However, the general lack of concern Lara's "people" have shown for the site over the last six months does not lead one to suspect that any such new effort is underway. Increasingly, it has become a place for fans to talk amongst themselves, almost as if it had little to do with Lara. This situation will probably continue until she re-enters the public arena.
