...that over the past two weeks I've listened to Celine Dion's new CD (thanks Pam) and I can honestly say that Lara's voice and singing touch me so much more and is so much more pleasant to listen to than Ms. Dion's. I'm not saying that Celine is not an excellent singer, but for me Lara's style and technique moves me more and she has and still is the #1 performer for me! Just my 2 cents....

ditto i still love some of celine's songs (she does know how to pick 'em), but i definitely cannot listen to her voice more than a couple times in a row like i can with lara.

I have listen to "Taking Chances" twice and it was a chore to get through it. I found it to be a hodge podge of music. It feels like it was just thrown together without thought.
The only song I really like from it is "Alone".
Is it me or do these songs remind you of other songs? I can't put my finger on it. For instance in the song "Taking Chances" the words "talk to me like lovers do" "walk with me like lovers do" can be found in Annie Lenox's song "Here Comes The Rain Again". But the music in some of the songs also reminds me of other songs. Does anyone else see this?
This is not one of Celine's best albums in my opinion.
To me there is no comparision between Lara and Celine in any category.
