Like an election, where results gradually trickle in, or like the birth of a baby itself, the validity of the birth of Lara's child seems to be slowly taking shape. RTL radio in Belgium reported Maurane's announcement of it, and lara-fabian.net now says it is 'almost official' that Lara's child was born November 20th at noon local time. The name "Lou" given by Maurane still 'may be a gaffe' according to them. Still no confirmation from the official site, so the continuing hope is that all their delay represents is their usual ineptitude.

"Like an election, where results gradually trickle in" great analogy.
It must be hard not be be able to have the quiet and personal time that most people have before and after a birth. In the last month when Lara and Gerard should have been anticipating the joys of parenthood, Lara has had to deal with the press on the gift debacle (true her own doing) and the premature announcement of the birth. This at a time, in the last few weeks of her pregnancy, when I am sure Lara was not feeling great to begin with. Being a public figure has it's ups and downs. I imagine one has to be very strong in character to be able to handle the swings.
I agree with David, a little news from the keeper of the official site would have gone a long way. It need not be too personal. Maybe a "Lara's doing well and says hi - more info to follow" would have been enough to satisfy all the people who care and worry about her so much.
But then again this is Lara and if you have followed her career long enough you understand this is just business as usual.
Thanks David for keeping us informed.
