News Update: 11/17
The update is one day early this week, for obvious reasons. As indicated in Karl's thread, Lara gave birth to her daughter, most likely yesterday, at the Edith Cavell hospital in Uccle, Brussels. Here is my translation(not so different from Karl's) of the article describing the birth:

Lara Fabian is a mother (11/17/07)
THE SINGER HAS GIVEN BIRTH TO A DAUGHTER
Brussels. Lara Fabian waited for this day with impatience and, finally, it has arrived. Nothing has been confirmed by the singer's entourage for the moment, but, from a reliable source, we have learned that she has given birth to her first child, at the Edith Cavell hospital, in Uccle. Lara entered the hospital this past week for monitoring. The baby didn't seem impatient to press its nose out, it had to be forced a little. This occurred Thursday evening. We haven't had any other information but it is more than likely that the small one first waited until yesterday to see the day.
Lara Fabian now lives the most beautiful days of her life. Certainly her daily existence is already a true fairy tale thanks to a successful career which takes her all over the world, but her most passionate dream was to become a mother.
She certainly did not know how to hide her happiness for long from her fans: in June, she announced her pregnancy via the interface of her Internet site. In September again, she confided her joy. " The last months are happy and serene...This pregnancy is a pleasure…". She told of her mad laughs in stores while she had to choose numerous articles envisioned for the birth.
For recall, the happy papa is Gérard Pullicino, 49 years old, French film television director.
The singer will therefore make a pause in her well filled career but will not abandon her fans. " I have already begun again writing and thinking about the red thread of my next release in music. It will be in no way what one expects from me", (she) wrote on her site, a little while ago, the happy new mom, to whom one wishes all the happiness in the world.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We certainly second that last emotion. As of yet, no name for the child has been released (nor any official announcement on Lara's site). Further updates will arise when more information is available.
