Okay, tonight I was running on the sidewalk and then these cyclists come along biking on the sidewalk and I had to stop to let them through (there was a tree on the edge of the sidewalk so there wasn't room for me to pass). But there was a bike path right beside the sidewalk. Why can't the cyclists use the bike path for what it's meant to be used for?? (The bike path is between the road and the sidewalk) To put more these cyclists weren't a family cycling together it was a bunch of adults. (I can understand if a parent doesn't want their child biking near the road so they use the sidewalk)

I'm always stunned when I hear that people do things regardless of the thoughts and feelings of others. You look at everything that is happening in the world, and conclude that it's all so complicated. But then you find out that a few people can't even find a way to make a path accessable to everyone using it without obstructing one of the person's walk and you realize that it goes way beyond complicated. It's very simple.
A favorite rock group of my Father's (and because of that mine too) was a group called Three Dog Night. Way back when, they had a hit song called "Easy To Be Hard." The first lines in the song say it all:
"How can people be so heartless How can people be so cruel Easy to be hard Easy to be cold"
I'm sorry to hear that you had that experience Leona.
