It is my belief that we have all been given numerous gifts. I have always loved the arts. One of my many passions is writing. I truly believe that words is one of my gifts. I love languages, writing, and just the purity of communication. I have started a blog, entitled La Bohème, translated it means, The Bohemian One. I happen to be a very opinionated person, so this blog is me being as opinionated and provocative about life and the world. I am writing under my writing alias, Jeanne Lavond. Jeanne, is because of Jeanne D'arc(Joan of Arc) and Lavond comes from the character, Paul Lavond from the film , The Devil-Doll, depicted in Paris. Please feel free to drop by and post comments. I love a good debate. ~Shavon laboheme.blogvis.com/

Wow! I've checked it out, Shavon, and it is absolutely beautiful. Great job. I'll keep looking for updates to your blog and will make comments accordingly. I'll refrain from adding any comments to your first blog though. LOL....I don't mind a good debate either, but you and I totally disagree on that topic, so I'll just let it be. You say that you are opinionated, and that is one of the things that I love about you so much. You're a great girl, and I hope you are able to thrive with your new blog.

Mark, I knew the first entry would rattle you. All the while typing it I was smiling and giggling knowing you would get a kick out of it. However, the entry is truly how I feel about the USA. My next entry will be about the 2008 Presidential Election. ~Shavon

LOL, well, thanks a lot, Shavon! ;D It's that sassy attitude of yours that made me fall in love with you, and makes me wanna come through the internet and kiss you! I'll jump in and share my thoughts on the next one you do, and leave the one about America's arrogance and selfishness to you and the rest of the world to discuss. Meanwhile, I'll do my best to give where I see needs around me......

The thing is that I feel you were right on with your first entry. I'm looking at it from the outside (in Canada) but I see so many things that instead of the US trying to work with the rest of the world on certain things, they try to be better and show how great they are.
