Last time I wrote to you, I was in Québec. After all the beautiful things I have been through, I am back in Montréal for a little rest.
So I settle down a bit and here I am.
First of all, I wanted to say that the rumors which say that I won’t be in Nepal in May are unfortunately true… As a matter of fact, I am professionally obliged to give priority to Italy. My participation in the San Remo festival arose such a huge interest that I will be unavailable to go there but I will be part of the next mission… However, the building project of the hospital is in progress...
I will brief you on the latest developments as soon as I can...
As for Italy, it is getting concrete through other television appearances with Gigi and above all with the writing of the album, writing which gets me from Rome to LA until late June.
On the other hand, the single will be launched in France so we will manage to see each other a little... The NOTP were Top ! Top ! Top !
Christophe Willem, “a loony” adorable person, a real talent whose humanity is obvious. Sharing the scene every night with “Tears for fears” was a little girl’s dream come true. Other artists were great too. It is an interesting concept to share music with so many people as different as talented. Long life to NOTP.
Life is sweet at the moment. I feel privileged to be able to have a break I sometimes think of some of you who came to see me during the tour of the NOTP, and who went to great lengths to offer me gifts which shows how well you know me. THANK YOU. How generous of you !!!!!! Keep in mind that you always hit home.
I wear your bracelets and rings, your belts, I light your candles, eat your chocolates (not all of them, I share…) I read your books and you are with me...
I am reading a very good book “Kafka sur le ravage”, from a Japanese writer whose poetry is subtle and phantasmagorical. I am listening again to Eric Serra’s great work, with who I will probably work with in June… To be continued...
During those relaxing moments, I went to the movies, to see “la môme”. Don’t listen to the critics (well, do as usual) and go and see it, like millions of people who have been captivated by the strength of this phenomenal piece of art. Marion Cotillard is really exceptional. If she doesn’t get the “Cesar”awards, I won’t understand. I also went to see Mathilde Seigner’s latest film… What can I say? that I love her, that she is very talented and that I dream of playing with her one day...
About Theatre, I am still preparing to go on the stage… I am scared to death but: no risk, no vibration so… I go for it. I will also keep you posted. In the weeks to come, I will prepare the show here in Montreal. Then, I will go to Portugal, Russia, Turkey and Algeria, for new adventures on stage.
By the way… I am still very amazed by the messages you write on my guestbook.
I will end this message with “la vita è bella”.
Thanks to you.
