"If what we think does not reflect truth, then what we feel does not reflect reality." - Neil T. Anderson (from his book "Victory Over The Darkness")

That is awesome! I love it! My little experience into this mind game proves this out. By the way, Neil T. Anderson is an author of some really great books, the one you quote from here being one of them. Thanks for sharing!

I have to agree with you about that. He is very good. I like his straightforward way of writing. He doesn't try to be fancy with his wording. It seems the important thing for him is to be clear and understood. He's truly trying to help people understand the things he is writing about. He's a good man, and I'm sure he has served a lot of people well. I, too, am one of them.

I agree with what you've said. I also like how he doesn't say you have to do this, you have to that, he makes it possible for anyone to apply the things he writes about to their own lives without seeming like he's telling them how to live their lives. It's like he recognizes that people have different backgrounds, different life experiences, and different ways of dealing with them and he allows for interpreting them to your own life. It's like he's helping you understand what is bringing you down and opening your eyes to see the what is there to help you understand that the way out of whatever is hurting you is in your control. I also love how he often has stories to show his point about what he is talking about.

Absolutely! He is a person who truly cares about people and loves God. he's not at all trying to tell people anything, but rather share some things that he has learned along the way in hopes of maybe benefitting others. A remarkable ministry. People can tell when a person is authentic, and he really fits that description. I like your comments about him very much, and fully agree.

Just to let you know, Leona, I have a coupon for 25% off at a local bookstore and have wanted to buy a book for a cousin of mine. Because of this quote, you have reminded me of what a great author Neil is, and I am going to use the coupon to purchase a book of his for her. Actually I think 'Victory Over The Darkness' from where you say this quote comes from sounds very fitting for her right now! Anyway, thanks for the quote because it helped me figure out what I wanted to get my cousin!
