Lara posted a picture of herself with Fabio Lazzara on her Instagram ‘stories’ account, which included the phrase ‘Grazie Maestro' (thanks, teacher), copied below (courtesy of Lara Fabian est ton autre FB site, among others):

He’s a vocal coach in Italy, whose own Instagram site is at www.instagram.com/fabio.lazzara/. It comes as no great surprise that Lara is still in Italy….
And there was more news indicating that her future plans will also have a European flavor. Lara will be joining a host of other singers in Bucharest, Romania, on Sept. 15, according to a post by Giora Linenberg (https://www.facebook.com/giora.linenberg, as linked to by the Lara Fabian The Netherlands FB site, among others):

The caption by Giora reads, “It's an honor to play with them on one stage ⭐️🙏
Such an honor sharing the stage with them!
Premiere in Bucharest
SEPTEMBER 15, 2023
Lara Fabian; Laura Bretan; Jose Carreras; Jose Carrers the legendary tenor;David Gimenez;
Gheorghe Zamfir; Nicoleta Zamfir; Monica Radu; Paul Nanca”
Lara’s continued presence in Europe does raise some questions. Now that she’s sold her house in Quebec, one wonders if she’s bought another, and if so, is there someone spending time furnishing it? There has been no obvious news to that effect. It will be interesting to see how far past the summer holidays her sojourn on the ‘big continent’ extends…
Interesting pictures/videos of the week: As a holdover from last week, the actual Instagram reel that Lara posted of her at Zuccharo’s concert in Syracuse, Sicily, is available from the Lara Fabian Family FB site, at
www.youtube.com/shorts/1-e1jAzwhyA
And from the same FB source, a beautiful picture of Lara,

An equally beautiful, if tonally different, picture of Lara from the Lara Fabian America FB site,

And a beautiful ‘picture’ of a different dimension, from lara_fabian_italia_la_voce:
A reaction video to Lara singing ‘Silence’ from the live Nue album, can be found at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeRAAkA6fjg
This is notable, for one doesn’t find ‘Silence’ as the object of reaction videos very often; and as the reactor said, he doesn’t get a lot of opportunity to hear Lara doing uptempo/rock songs. [Furthermore, he noted that it was funny that a song called Silence is so loud , and is seemingly so high-spirited].
The reactor admitted he had no idea what the French lyrics meant. For those who have forgotten it, here are the lyrics (the English translation of this French song from Nue are the same as the English version of the song from A Wonderful Life):
----------------------
I've learned so much
After these years of despair
And I've been in touch
With the deepest side of my pain
All that I can say
Is that there's nothing there
Not even a dream to share
Are you familiar?
Or should I show you around?
It's a cold room
With nothing inside
Not a sound
But to be amazed
What stillness can do
It will bring you back to you
Silence (Silence)
Is the moment between every word
Is the best friend you have in the world
That moment in time
Will help you to survive
Silence
Now that you've seen it
You don't need to go back at all
And when you feel that
Cold room inside
You'll stand tall
You will embrace it
As you recall
It made you strong after all
Silence (Silence)
Is the moment between every word
Is the best friend you have in the world
That moment in time
Will help you to survive
Silence
Silence
Let your consciousness finally be heard
It's unconscious but you'll hear the burst
The voices inside
Will bring you back to life
(Silence, silence)
It's the moment in time
(Silence, silence)
Silence
(Silence, silence)
Survival
Let it be
-----------------------
The reactor would be surprised that the only ‘up-tempo’ aspect of the lyrics is the reference to using silence to bring oneself back to life. Pretty sure that would not be expected. [Although the song was released 12 years before Lara’s album “Le Secret”, this aspect became the guiding element of that later album].
This is just one example of how Lara’s lyrics are often not what one would expect from the music, or the title of a song; they’re much more layered and conflicted. A perfect example is “Je t’aime”, as discussed in this recent article (https://www.bfmtv.com/people/musique/les-secrets-des-tubes-je-t-aime-de-lara-fabian_AV-202308060092.html):

THE SECRETS OF THE HIT: "Je t’aime", BY LARA FABIAN
The secrets of the hits. Every weekend in the summer, Philippe Dufreigne tells you the manufacturing secrets and the little-known history of the hits you all know. Today, “Je t’aime” by Lara Fabian.
In November 1997, all the radio stations in France resounded to the sound of Je t'aime by Lara Fabian. Contrary to what this title may suggest, it is a break that she sings of in this text that she wrote: a break-up with her composer at the time, Rick Allison, who signed the music.
"It was a meeting, which, we both knew, had to end. A great story which had to be transformed and not remain sterile at the time of departure", recalls the singer 25 years later for BFMTV.
That's why they put this experience down on paper: "This song is the demonstration that we can, with a lot of benevolence and wisdom, recognize that we may not have been the person that was necessary for the other, but that we are no less a good person."
A heartache for a good professional: this “Je t’aime” is the beginning of a whirlwind for Lara Fabian. The title immediately enters the radio, ranks sixth in the top single. Of course, the record labels court her:
"(I was) like a child seeing a part of this dream (which she wanted so badly) come true. Like a child!"
Honored by Johnny Hallyday
This dazzling success will take her to the Stade de France to sing with Johnny Hallyday. Meetings with the Taulier [nickname for JH] which remain engraved in her memory: "I will never forget this moment at the Enfoirés", says the 53-year-old singer. "He arrives with a bouquet of magnificent orange roses, he looks at me and he goes: 'You, you're me as a girl'…. What a compliment!".
The song is still a special moment for Lara Fabian today, and has become a staple of her concerts. Without the slightest resentment about the past love affair:
"I love it. I'm able to close my eyes and reinterpret the text, remembering why it was written, how it was written and what it leaves us with. This is the song who made me who I am."

Closer magazine then picked up on this comment from Johnny Hallyday in this article (https://www.closermag.fr/people/johnny-hallyday-tes-moi-en-nana-sa-declaration-enflammee-a-une-star-de-la-chanson-3247499#item=1):

Johnny Hallyday: "You're me as a girl ...", his fiery statement to a singing star
Sunday August 6, 2023, on BFMTV, Lara Fabian returned to a conversation she had had with Johnny Hallyday. In 1998, shortly after their meeting, the singer had made her a magnificent compliment.
It was 25 years ago… In 1998, Lara Fabian and Johnny Hallyday shared a duet on the title Requiem pour un fou at the Stade de France. On September 6, 1998, for DH, the singer recalled: “It was one of the greatest moments of my life! Even if before going on stage, I was literally liquefied with stage fright. From where I was, I had a complete view of these 85,000 people. For me, it was an electric shock. I was really lucky to be chosen. I know it and I'm very proud of it. And then, both of us are from the same country." A few weeks earlier, the two stars of the song had met on the Restos du Coeur tour. So, Laetitia Hallyday's husband had made her a nice compliment that she still remembers, 25 years later.
Sunday August 6, 2023, on BFMTV, Lara Fabian declared: “I will never forget this moment at the Enfoirés. He arrives with a bouquet of magnificent orange roses, he looks at me and he says: 'You, you're me as a girl'…. What a compliment! " Moved, it is by evoking the singer who has performed many hits, such as Allumer le feu , L'envie , Diego libre dans sa tête , but also Requiem pour un fou , that she added: "I adore. I am able to close my eyes and reinterpret the text, remembering why it was written, how it was written and what it leaves us with. It's the song that made me who I am."
----------------------------------------
[Closer appears to have gotten it wrong; it was not Johnny Halliday and Requiem pour un fou that Lara was 'evoking' with her closing comment, it was "Je t'aime" and Rick Allison, as is evident from the BFMTV article.]
Finally, it should be noted that the ‘Lara Fabian Par Amour’ Fb site (https://m.facebook.com/groups/LaraFabianGroup/) has wonderful pictures of Lara that are continually being posted. They are not linked to here because they are a private group to which one has to apply for access, but it’s worthwhile to do so if you’re interested.
August is normally the month of least professional activity in many European countries, and in the past that has often been true for Lara as well. This summer she is still keeping in touch by posting pictures of events in her daily life, and it would seem that the brief lifetime of Instagram ‘stories’ and ‘short reels’ frees her from having to wait for momentous events. A win for everyone…
