Lara finished the last concert on this segment of her 50 World Tour, which turned out to be in Bratislova, following performances in Craiova, Tel Aviv, and Sofia. The last scheduled concert of the tour, in Dubai, was cancelled, as ticket holders found out when they received notices of a refund. Lara’s team did not make any official announcement, and so we can only speculate as to why that happened (lack of sufficient ticket sales is the usual cause).
She was in quite good voice throughout, and there were definitely highlights; in addition to those mentioned in last week’s Update, we can note that it was very nice to see Giora Linenberg once again, in Tel Aviv, playing piano for several of Lara’s songs, including her Hebrew offering. Lara again spoke primarily in English throughout, although few of the songs were in English – ‘outsiders’ would consider this quite a curious dichotomy. Lara in interviews has touted this as evidence that French language songs appeal to all audiences, and in her case, that seems to be true.
There are a number of videos: a few more from Tel Aviv, many from Sofia, with a few from Bratislova. As always, we thank all those who choose to take the time to record them at these concerts, and then make the effort to share them on youtube and elsewhere. The links are provided below.

After the finish of these concerts, Lara was quick to make two announcements: she put on her FB and Instagram sites, the listing of all the concerts to be given in Belgium and France (and Switzerland), at

or equally,
and she accompanied that with the statement, “See you soon in France and Belgium for the #50 world tour 👏👏 Several dates are already complete, I'm so happy that you are there ✌️💕 I'm so excited to sing for you... love”
And not to show favoritism to her European fans, she posted the following video
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/videos/804383416668985/
and accompanied it with the literal text, “I'm so excited that both dates of Montreal on April 1ST AND 2nd, 2020 are complete. I'm also waiting for you in Quebec City on April 4th at Centre Vidéotron... I can't wait to sing for you and celebrate these 30 years of career by your side... where it all started.
I love you 💕 #50 Worldtour #Quebec

As we suggested when Lara began her tour, the audiences in France may be harder to please being served primarily Lara’s old songs, although the titles from her early career in Quebec might be novel for them. And the stories (spoken this time in French) they may well find interesting.
In other news, it was announced that Lara and her vocal coach Pierre Yves Duchesne will be opening a singing school in Belgium (https://www.dhnet.be/medias/musique/lara-fabian-et-son-coach-vont-ouvrir-leur-propre-ecole-de-chant-en-belgique-5df25d0ed8ad58130dd56d97?fbclid=IwAR1cy8NsZyJu0B-jt52f4Q_0S0ja4cgxARsR8GC5l-H60b37RCau-oe5SBI). Here’s the translation (thanks to the Lara Fabian, Bien Plus Qu’une Passion. Corse Reunion FB site for the link):

Lara Fabian and her coach will open their own singing school in Belgium
Pierre-Yves Paque
"We will soon return to Belgium to develop AICOM internationally, it is the first place where we want to settle", confesses Pierre-Yves Duchesne who thinks of Liège or Brussels to host this singing school.
And he will do it with Lara Fabian. "I cannot conceive it otherwise than with her", he said. "Me neither”, retorts the Belgian-Italian-Canadian singer. “It will not be an AICOM branch but rather a slightly different entity. We will teach singing there, that's for sure, but I believe that singing is also something a little larger than the musical, even if AICOM is very rich because we learn all the steps for an artist to become polymorphic. It is difficult to do better in terms of pedagogy with all the layers he covers here. It's Fame! So the idea will be to do something different, to go to another dimension." But of course, Belgian applications are always welcome at the Paris school. As for the vocal coach, he specifies that in his future establishment, he will focus more on "the holistic work of the voice".

Lara has said that her school will teach not only singing but will also include the various aspects that help one actually make a career, such as how to deal with publicity, record companies, social media, etc. Lara also said her school would be in both Brussels and Montreal – we’ll see if the Montreal branch actually gets established. It goes without saying that the school in Brussels (or Liege) will require her to be there more often…which might provide more complications for her peaceful domicile in Quebec.
Meanwhile the promo for "The Voice" has reached the heights of fantasy, envisioning the four judges as superheros, as can be seen at:

Well, that's a lot to live up to!
Lara is presented in a reposted video from “FemmeActuelle”, at
in a video which is about a year old (Lou is 11 in it). Lara speaks of the sadness associated with the loss of Maurane and her own mother, notes her Sicilian and Belgian origins, her adopted country (Canada/Quebec) and says her heart is in France (something she has not always felt). She also discusses the meaning to her of Papillon, coming from her grandmother using it as a nickname for her (farfalle, papilon in Italian) to emphasize the necessity to live in the moment. Also covered is her love for Gabriel, and the writing of “La difference”, which she notes is “a theme that I developed, adopted for (a cause) which I continue to be a keen activist”. She concludes by saying that her ‘fortune’ is her health, and that Lou is the greatest joy in her life. All of these comments are clearly still true.
